Story
From the owner: She's the sweetest cat ever, and I'm sad to have to give her up. Rescued her as a kitten and she was bottle-raised, so she is super bonded to people. Phoebe is super loving and is pretty mellow most of the time. She's a little over 2.5 years old, and gets along well with kids and other cats. Never been around dogs, so not sure how she would react. A little shy with new people, but once she knows you, she'll be your best friend. While Phoebe herself is great with other cats, she tends to be more submissive, which makes her the target of bullying from the other cats in our house. I'm sure she would love to be someone's only pet, but would also do good with another chill cat who wouldn't push her around too much. She's gentle and cuddly, but is young enough that she's also still playful (without being overly crazy.) I think she'd do well with kids who are a little on the older side who can respect her space (maybe 7-8+). I think with really young kids, she might be a little nervous and prefer to hide. She's just a really sweet, loving companion, and deserves a home where she doesn't have to be afraid of another animal bullying her.

Story
Elgie came in as one hot mess. She was missing fur that seemed to be a flea allergy. Her eyes were crusted shut. Despite it all she just wanted love. For her eyes she was actually suffering from entropion, where her own lashes curled inward and irritated her eyes. Our vet was able to correct this with surgery. As to her skin, that was a tougher matter to figure out and just when we thought we had it corrected with food and allergy medicine, bam, some kittens came in with ringworm and Elgie caught it. It takes a long time to treat and being stuck in a cage all that time really took a toll on her. She fights and hisses when picked up because she thinks she`s being put back in her cage or getting more medicine. We know sweet Elgie is still in there, but it will take being in a home and finally being able to relax for it to come out. She also would like to be the only kitty. We hope there is someone willing to give her a chance, even though she will probably be so rude to you when you meet her!

Story
A strikingly beautiful, senior kitty of indeterminate age (our Vet says at least 8 yrs) Maybelle came in as a stray. She needed a dental cleaning and removal of some problem teeth. Her favorite place to be is on some high place in her room looking down on everything. She has quite a loud meow. Maybe due to hearing loss, or maybe just to get her point across. She likes attention and being where you are, but isn`t pushy about it.

Story
My sister Fallon and I are still kind of scared. We had to be trapped to be brought here. I just can`t bring myself to walk up to people yet, but when they pick me up and start cuddling me my motor starts going and the pets feel so good. I`m sure I can build my courage!

Story
Lilah is an absolutely beautiful dilute "torbie" (tabby/tortoise shell). While she may look silvery at first glance, she does have little patches of pale creamsicle-orange mixed in that give her a truly unique appearance! Lilah is about 10 months old and was dumped along with her brother Midnight (also available for adoption.) She is a little bolder than her brother and has integrated with our other fosters just fine! She would do great in a home as your only princess, or would also do well with other cats.

Story
Curious and outgoing, Tippy is the queen of affectionate head-bonks and will really throw her whole body into it when you give her a scritch! Despite being all-grown-up, she is still eager to play with toys, and has proven to be an excellent mouser in her foster home. Tippy loves humans of all shapes and sizes, but her absolute FAVORITE people are men who let her perch on their shoulder - it's her favorite place to be!! If you're working late nights at your desk or a hard-core gamer, she would love to perch on your shoulder and purr away. Tippy is about 6 years old and had lived as a barn cat prior to coming to us, but she is far too friendly towards humans, and MUCH happier to be warm inside with her people. Tippy gets along ok with other animals with a proper introduction, but has been known to swat at some of the younger cats that don't have a good handle on the concept of "personal space." We think she'd do best as an only cat, but could also work well with a calm companion close in age. She is spayed, up-to-date on shots and microchipped. All she needs now is a forever home to call her own!

Story
Iris is hard to photograph, because she would MUCH rather be in your arms than that silly camera! This chonky girl is an absolute darling who never met a person she didn't immediately fall in love with. In her mind, human hands exist for two reasons: to give pets and scritches, or to hold her like a baby! Iris is around 4 years old and came in to foster with her sister, Selene. They were originally bottle-raised, and it really shows in their gentle, loving personalities. While it would be wonderful if they could find a home together, that is not required. They play and cuddle well together, but have shown plenty of independence and get along great with other foster kitties as well. They would do well in a single or multi-pet home.
