Story
This is Shadow. She’s a domestic shorthair cat we adopted in Hawaii when we were stationed there along with her sister from the same litter. *They are a bonded pair and must be adopted together, we will not re-home them separately* She is a friendly, calm, cuddly cat. She takes to my husband most. She can tolerate being carried but she’s very picky about how. She has been around young kids (very young toddlers and up) most of her life outside of her time at the shelter where we adopted her from and she’s been very patient and loving. I have been diligent to raise my kids to be kind to animals so I thankfully haven’t had issues where I could say it tail pulling would ever pose an issues but I would assume she wouldn’t like it if you have littles at home that would do so. She doesn’t prefer to be touched on her belly. She loves wet cat food. We buy them Smalls on a monthly shipment basis and they don’t currently eat dry cat food but with patience and time they likely would.

Story
Fig is a sensitive soul looking for her forever family. Fig came to NAS back in November 2023 as a stray. This sweet girl is not cut out for the busy shelter environment and has thankfully found some great foster homes to temporarily call home. Since being in a foster home, Fig has shown us what kind of kitten antics she can get into now that she has settled in. Fig enjoys peeking out the windows and will sometimes just be a tail peeking out from the curtains. She loves vertical scratchers and playing with toys as well. Fig is very food motivated and loves to be by her peoples` side, following them from room to room. Fig will need a patient family and calm household who will let her warm up at her own pace. Fig is currently in a foster home. She is on a once daily anxiety medication that gets mixed in her food every morning. Please note:- Our website (www.neenahanimalshelter.org) is updated in real time, so we are accepting applications for all animals that are currently listed.-Applications can be downloaded from our website.
