Story
Hello! I am Mama Kitty! I had a pretty rough start to life and was found outside about 2 years ago pregnant! I had a litter of 4 and shortly after escaped from my previous home and became pregnant again! I have been living with my new foster mom and she takes care of me and my litter of 6 while they find homes! I am looking for a place to settle down and finally live a relaxing life, not having to worry about where my next meal may come from. The vets say I look healthy but can't get my vaccines until my babies are done nursing - which will be soon! I also need to be spayed to make sure I don't have to go through any more pregnancies but my foster mom said she would help any adopter financially with that when the time comes! If you would like to know more about me please ask!!

Story
Hello! My name is Banjo and I'm here to tell my story! I think perhaps I'm a little misunderstood in this world. When people see a cat, they automatically think cuddler and want attention all the time. Unfortunately, that is not me. I'm a guy of independence. I love to roam around ensuring things are in their place. But please keep reading, I'm really a great guy. Truly I think people can relate to being more introverted than extroverted, and that is exactly me. I'll admit I'm a big chonk of a cat (I just love my treats) and I have a big purr-sonality! My ideal home would be where I can be the king of the house and where I can be comfortable being my laid back, chill self. I'm full of expression and will let you know what I want and when I want it. You won't have to question timing of treats; I'll take those ALL THE TIME! Unfortunately, I have been with the rescue for a while now. I'm a volunteer favorite as many people can't pass up an opportunity to interact with me. They understand my personality and boundaries and can't help but gravitate towards my stately presence. I hope my perfect someone is reading this and will understand and love my personality just the way I am. *Banjo will require a special urinary diet for the rest of his life to prevent him from forming urinary crystals. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and have received routine deworming. Story
Handome cat Parker is a sweet, affectionate, people oriented cat. He loves to play with toys, other cats and to politely beg for any sort of treat you are willing to give him, even table scraps. Parker loves to be picked up or to lay on your chest for a quick ear scratch or tummy rub and will bake biscuits to show how happy he is. He has excellent manners and knows not to jump on counter tops and how to use a scratching post. Parker would do best in a home with another cat, and without young children. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. If you're interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website at sftsrescue.org/adoptableanimals

Story
If Jax could speak he would simply say "patience is a virtue." Jax is a shy and uncertain guy who needs a home that is patient with him and to not take it personally while he adjusts to his new family and new home. Once you've earned his trust, he will shower you with love and be a great friend. We're unsure of Jax's history but thanks to his amazing foster parents he is starting to learn that a home life is a great thing to have. He loves pets, but you have to go to him for them first. He will lean into your hand to get the best scratches! He would be happiest if he has a quiet room to start off with, spending quality time with you while he gets his bearings. Although Jax is shy he loves to run around and entertain himself with any and all toys! All of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. Story
Wuya, pronounced Woo-Yay, is the Chinese word for Midnight. Wuya is an 8-pound, independent but affectionate, senior, female, solid black cat looking for a home to enjoy her golden years without other cats or young children. She would do fine in a home with small, calm, cat-friendly dogs though. Wuya uses her litter box perfectly, loves playing with wand toys, getting head pets with ear and chin scritches, lap time, and will tolerate brief holding. She romps and plays with toys but primarily loves napping in snuggly beds and sunny spots and watching birds daily through a window. She also loves brushing, catnip, and treats. Wuya takes a small amount of medicine once a day in canned cat food to help keep her old hips from aching. She has minor clouding in her eyes, called lenticular sclerosis, which is common in older cats and does not appear to affect her vision. Due to how stressed she is around other cats, Wuya doesn't attend adoption fairs. Please contact 9 Lives to arrange for a VIP greeting to meet Wuya in the foster's home in Middleton. Wuya is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested negative for FeLV and FIV.

Story
This apple comes in one flavor- Granny Smith. Apple has tortitude plus. If you want a cat who will stare at you with loathing, glare at you across the room, hiss at you as she gets in your lap to steal your food, and remind you that your only purpose in life is food and play, then Apple is the cat for you. She does warm up over time and is very food motivated, but an adopter who can appreciate her flavor is a must. Apple is very bonded to her friend Toad, and they need to be adopted together. Toad is a very sweet boy and loves people and jumping up to give kisses. He is rather scared and freaky in a new environment, so it will take some patience at first to help him feel comfortable. Toad has zero survival skills outside, but he does have a history of accidental escapes (where he almost starved, poor guy), so we would recommend a home that has secure windows (ie no flimsy screens or doggy doors) and that will be careful with doors. We can offer post adoption support for this interesting pair, for a family willing to give them a chance. They are doing wonderfully in their current foster home. Both cats are spayed/neutered, tested felv negative, vaccinated, and microchipped.

Story
Courtesy Listing: This is Mr. Man (Manny), he's been a stray in my neighborhood since last winter. A neighbor trapped him and we're getting him ready for a new forever home. I took him for a vet check and he tested positive for feline leukemia, so he will need to be adopted to a home with already positive cats or as a solo cat. He is neutered, vaccinated, and FIV negative. He was very scared but within days had become the biggest sweetheart ever. He follows me around the garage and talks to me while I do chores. The minute I sit down he's jumping into my lap for pets and a nap. Manny will be a wonderful addition to your family.

Story
Benson is a 14yo sweetheart who is the epitome of a lap cat. He has a very calm presence, and will start purring as soon as you talk to him. He loves to play, and will chase toys and lasers! He needs insulin shots twice daily (this is the 'special needs' part), but it's very easy to learn and he doesn't mind them. He's lived most of his life with someone who recently went to the hospital and needed to give him up. If he's not on your lap, he's probably napping on the couch, or watching birds. He's very good at using the litter box. In his foster home, he settled in right away and was purring within ten minutes. He has a cute croak instead of a meow, and will gently pat your arm in order to get pets. Benson formerly lived with an older lab, and enjoyed stealing her bed. His former owner often had grandkids and other more energetic dogs in the house - he would retreat when the whole gang came over. He's never showed aggression, he just prefers a quiet life!
