Story
Meet Isis, the fabulous senior tortoiseshell cat with a sassy attitude and a whole lot of Tortietude! She's a true diva who knows exactly what she wants. While she's not a fan of being held, she'll happily claim her spot on your chest while you relax in your recliner, binge-watching TV. But be warned, her affectionate moments can quickly turn into a 'nope, not anymore' situation – she's got her own rules!   Isis takes her time to warm up to new humans, but once she does, there's no turning back. She'll let you know when it's breakfast time with gentle nips or, if you're a heavy sleeper, a strategically timed throw-up session. Ah, the joys of being a cat owner, right?   In the wee hours of the morning, Isis might surprise you with her energetic 4 am zoomies. Age is just a number for this playful girl! And don't be alarmed if you catch her suspiciously eyeing her reflection in the mirror – she's simply admiring her own fabulousness.   While Isis has lived with other cats in the past and tolerated them, she's ready to embrace her golden years as the one and only feline queen in your life. A perfect match for Isis would be someone who works from home or has a flexible schedule, ensuring she doesn't spend more than 8 hours alone each day.   Currently, Isis is on medication for her hyperthyroidism, but don't worry, she's a pro at taking her pills via pill pockets disguised as tasty treats (the cost is about $5/mo, but does require regular vet visits to monitor her levels). She also follows a prescription kidney food diet due to being in the early stages of kidney disease and appreciates having access to plenty of fresh water.   So, if you're ready for a nine-pound terrorist full of mischief and love, look no further! Isis is the purrfect companion for anyone who can handle her quirky charm. Spread the word – this Tortie Queen is ready to find her furever home and unleash her unique personality on your little corner of the world! Story
Meet Paola!    This senior beauty was found as a stray in Chicago, underweight, dirty, and in need of some TLC. She has early stages of Kidney disease. Kidney disease is nothing to be too alarmed about though, she will just require a canned food only prescription diet, regular bloodwork and subcutaneous fluids every other day (which can easily be done at home with a lesson or two). Learn more about kidney disease here: https://www.pethealthnetwork.com/cat-health/cat-diseases-conditions-a-z/kidney-disease-cats   Paola loves attention and loves to cuddle. Her cute little meow as she waits for her wet food is absolutely precious.    Paola doesn't entirely care for the companionship of other feline friends and would love to be able to live out her golden years as an only cat. She hasn't seemed to mind the small senior pups that roam her foster mom's house and she does well with the resident kiddos too.   Approximate DOB: 2007 Foster Home Location: Janesville  If you are interested in adopting one of our wonderful cats or kittens, you can apply on our website: https://www.commcat.org/copy-of-adopt-a-bff   Please allow several days for us to process your application. Story
Fancy a Dark n’ Stormy? This grey gal is equal parts smooth and sweet with just the right amount of spice. Ever since her offspring got adopted, Stormy has been thriving as an empty nester. She says hello by giving lots of rubs and flopping over for belly scritches. Her playful side is blossoming and she loves to let out her inner kitten by chasing her favorite wand toy in circles. She’s an independent lady who’s happy to curl up next to you on the couch or give you some space while she’s off taking a snooze. Stormy would make a fantastic work-from-home buddy! While she’s not too fond of competing with other pets for attention, we know Stormy will provide all the love you could want. She can get a bit overstimulated in certain situations, so would probably do best in a home without young children or a lot of hustle and bustle. Take a shot on this intoxicating lady! Story
Jayden is a semi-feral young lady looking for a home with some adventure! She's been raised in a foster home since she was 2 months old, but Jayden hasn't forgotten her love of the outdoors. She would love a forever family that has a catio or yard that she can get some much needed stimulation and exercise. Jayden isn't a fan of being pet or held, BUT she does love hanging out near her humans and appreciates the warm house and delicious food they provide. Jayden can't wait to find her own forever family! She'll happily pay her rent by catching rodents, bugs, in your yard :) Approximate DOB: 2021 Foster Home Location: Sun Prairie If you are interested in adopting one of our wonderful cats or kittens, you can apply on our website: https://www.commcat.org/copy-of-adopt-a-bff Please allow several days for us to process your application. Story
If Cantaloupe hadn't skipped leg day at the gym, John Cena would be looking at some stiff competition. His stage name is 'Pipsqueak'  and he has the upper body strength to be a real contender. He'll body slam his way right into your heart! From his favorite spot, your lap, Cantaloupe never stops purring. Every toy is the best toy ever, and he fears no cats or stinky dogs. Truly, his charisma and self-confidence are an inspiration to a generation of body builders.   Cantaloupe was born with a deformity that affects his hind legs and resulted in reduced nerve function in his rear. He can zip around on his knees (have to get that cardio in) and can use the litterbox all by himself to urinate. He is able to defecate by himself as well, however he is not fully aware of when it is happening so he needs a bit of assistance in that department. If his bowels aren’t manually expressed, he isn’t able to control them and so he will just go wherever. To prevenr tummy troubles, he is on prescription cat food.    Learn more about caring for a cat like Cantaloupe here: https://resources.bestfriends.org/article/caring-incontinent-cat         Approximate DOB: September 2022 Foster Home Location: Madison      Consider adopting 2 kittens! Story
Single mature female looking for Sugar Daddy or Sugar Mama!  This classy lady has gone through a lot in life and is ready to settle down with a new man or woman (or both) in her life. Sugar is a Socialite from Chicago, who was in a tragic vehicle accident and found herself in a rural home in Wisconsin to recover in style. While she has enjoyed her stay at this cozy place, she is less  than thrilled that the staff is not available to shower her with love and adoration 26 hours a day, 375 days a year.    Sugar is not a girl who likes to share the Spotlight. She demands a home without any other cats, however she did say she would be  fine with larger dogs, as she’s been living with One for a while now and, I quote, “They amuse me”. She tends to get irate around other  felines.    Her ladyship maintains a strict diet, as she is allergic to most normal foods ingested by mere feline peasants. Due to these allergies she  also takes a regiment of allergy shots every 2 weeks at home, which her current staff fits in between her rigorous sunbathing and lounging routines.    Per Sugar’s personal assistant, “She is very demanding of attention, but all of the love we give her she gives us back three-fold. A fair warning, she is very free with her kisses! She will always tell you when your attempts at  affection are falling short, but will give you many chances to correct your behavior.”    The staff all agree, they feel Sugar would do best with a new Sugar DaddyAnd/or Sugar Mama who will be home with her more often than not, or willing to take her as a travel companion wherever they go. Her ladyship is so sensitive to being alone than quite frankly her dramatic flair goes too far and she will cause damage to herself if left alone for too long.    Please send all inquiries to adoptions@commcat.org so Sugar may review  all future possible servants and companions.   Approximate DOB: 2014 Foster Home Location: Janesville  If you are interested in adopting one of our wonderful cats or kittens, you can apply on our website: https://www.commcat.org/copy-of-adopt-a-bff   Please allow several days for us to process your application.
