Meet Kali—a lovable, loyal little lady with a big personality! Kali is the perfect blend of curious and cuddly. She’s an explorer at heart and enjoys checking out her surroundings, but she’s no troublemaker—Kali does great at home even when left alone. True to her dachshund roots, she’s got a strong prey drive and loves chasing birds or the occasional feral cat, so she’ll do best in a home without small pets like cats, guinea pigs, or reptiles. Kali lives for park days and adores playing chase with her doggie pals. She’d thrive in a home with a secure backyard (she is part dachshund, after all—digging is in her DNA!) and would love a furry sibling to hang out with while her humans are away. She gets along well with other dogs her size. Kali isn’t shy about expressing herself—if she thinks she’s missing out on the fun, she’ll let you know with a few vocal opinions. :) When the day winds down, Kali transforms into a total cuddlebug. She’ll gently nuzzle in close, letting you know she’s ready for some cozy snuggles and a little extra love. Meet Kernel (aka Max), your soon-to-be best buddy! Hi there! My name is Kernel, but my foster mom affectionately calls me Max—and I kind of like it. I might come off a bit shy at first, but give me a little time and you'll find me curled up in your lap, handing out kisses like it’s my full-time job. I get along great with the other pups in my foster home (they're all around 35 lbs. and under), and I’ve even had some fun with the neighbor kids! Cats? I haven’t met any yet, so the jury’s still out. I walk nicely on a leash—though sometimes I get a little excited and try to lead the way. A secure yard where I can zoom and sniff would be ideal, and I’d love a doggy sibling to hang out with while you’re out. Snuggle time is very high on my list of favorite things, so don’t be surprised if I sneak into your arms for a cuddle session. I’m potty trained, and while the doggie door is still a bit of a mystery to me, I’m getting the hang of it with practice! Life’s giving me a fresh start, and I’m ready to soak it all in—especially if it involves adventures, soft blankets, and someone to love. Bonus: my ears are ridiculously cute.
