Meet Kali—a lovable, loyal little lady with a big personality! Kali is the perfect blend of curious and cuddly. She’s an explorer at heart and enjoys checking out her surroundings, but she’s no troublemaker—Kali does great at home even when left alone. True to her dachshund roots, she’s got a strong prey drive and loves chasing birds or the occasional feral cat, so she’ll do best in a home without small pets like cats, guinea pigs, or reptiles. Kali lives for park days and adores playing chase with her doggie pals. She’d thrive in a home with a secure backyard (she is part dachshund, after all—digging is in her DNA!) and would love a furry sibling to hang out with while her humans are away. She gets along well with other dogs her size. Kali isn’t shy about expressing herself—if she thinks she’s missing out on the fun, she’ll let you know with a few vocal opinions. :) When the day winds down, Kali transforms into a total cuddlebug. She’ll gently nuzzle in close, letting you know she’s ready for some cozy snuggles and a little extra love. This sweet girl is ready to bring joy, adventure, and a whole lot of love to her forever family. EMAIL ADOPT@VALLEYDOGS.ORG to meet Kali and see for yourself what a gem she is!

Story
Hello! We adopted Briggs from an adoption agency in Scottsdale. Unfortunately they convinced us to adopt 2 brothers, and as they are litter mates, they no longer get along. We have to keep them separated at all times and it is very difficult for my son and I to manage. Briggs is very playful and fun and we hate having to give him up! He loves to cuddle, take walks, and he can jump pretty high. He will playfully bark at you when he wants you to per him, and he watches TV for any glimpse of an animal. I think Briggs would love to be with a family with kids since he has such a playful, loving energy, but he would be happy in any loving home.

Story
Available for Adoption – Meet Dorothy! Dorothy is a fun, easy-going girl who’s ready to find her forever home. She’s energetic during playtime with her sisters, yet calm and well-mannered the rest of the time. Friendly, loving, patient, and obedient, Dorothy has a wonderful personality—affectionate without being pushy and confident without being rude. She truly is the perfect balance of playful and relaxed. Dorothy is currently learning basic commands and leash training and is doing great. She would love a home with a secure yard and would especially enjoy having another dog sibling to play with, though it’s not required. She would be a great fit for almost any household. Medical Note: Dorothy was diagnosed with Ehrlichia (tick fever), which is not contagious to humans or other animals. She is undergoing a 28-day treatment with Doxycycline, which will be completed on January 1, 2026. All medication will be provided and fully covered by GTDR. No further treatment will be needed. If you’re looking for a loving, well-balanced companion, Dorothy could be the perfect match! She is crate trained, potty trained, leash trained, good with kids, unknown about cats & good with all dogs. Dorothy has had 2 vet visits, is spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, 4 DX test (testing for Lyme disease and two types of tick-borne illnesses), flea/tick/heartworm prevention (Nexgard Plus), two dewormings, and a fecal test. Adopters will receive all original paperwork, a 14-day health guarantee, a collar, harness, leash, seatbelt lock, and a week's worth of food. We operate on a first-come, first-served basis and are by appointment only. We are located in Mesa near Gilbert/Brown & offer flexible hours for meet-and-greet appointments. Story
Sadie is a 5-year-old mixed breed with a heart full of potential. She didn't get much socialization as a puppy, so meeting new people can feel overwhelming at first. She’ll need patience and a few visits to truly feel safe, but once she trusts you, her sweet and affectionate side shines through. Sadie’s sister, Charlie, has already found her forever home, so now it’s her turn. She’s selective with other dogs, so if you already have a canine companion, introductions will be important to make sure everyone gets along. Sadie would do best in a calm home with teens and adults who understand her need for space as she settles in. She loves treats (they’re her favorite!) and is learning how fun toys can be. With time, kindness, and consistency, Sadie will reward you with loyalty and love. Adoption Requirements: Behavior consult, children 13+ Her adoption fee is $350 and includes the following: -Spay/neuter surgery -All current vaccinations -Microchip -FREE wellness exam through VCA Animal Hospitals -$25 gift voucher from our friends at My Pet Market

Story
Meet Kernel (aka Max), your soon-to-be best buddy! Hi there! My name is Kernel, but my foster mom affectionately calls me Max—and I kind of like it. I might come off a bit shy at first, but give me a little time and you'll find me curled up in your lap, handing out kisses like it’s my full-time job. I get along great with the other pups in my foster home (they're all around 35 lbs. and under), and I’ve even had some fun with the neighbor kids! Cats? I haven’t met any yet, so the jury’s still out. I walk nicely on a leash—though sometimes I get a little excited and try to lead the way. A secure yard where I can zoom and sniff would be ideal, and I’d love a doggy sibling to hang out with while you’re out. Snuggle time is very high on my list of favorite things, so don’t be surprised if I sneak into your arms for a cuddle session. I’m potty trained, and while the doggie door is still a bit of a mystery to me, I’m getting the hang of it with practice! Life’s giving me a fresh start, and I’m ready to soak it all in—especially if it involves adventures, soft blankets, and someone to love. Bonus: my ears are ridiculously cute. Come meet me—I have a feeling we’re meant to be! Please email ADOPT@VALLEYDOGS.ORG to schedule a meet & greet.
