Story
Kobe is a wonderful 5-7-year-old mini poodle who is in search of his forever home. Despite facing a challenging start in life, Kobe is ready for his next adventure. Kobe is known for being exceptionally friendly and getting along well with both people and other dogs. However, due to less-than-ideal circumstances in his past, he developed a few undesirable habits along the way. The good news is that these habits are currently under control, but he requires someone who is willing to invest in his continued training to ensure lasting success. This absolute sweetheart is a true cuddle enthusiast. Eager to bear hug you all day if you'd let him. Kobe is actively seeking a home with an individual or family who not only appreciates his loving nature but is also committed to continuing the training that has already brought out the best in him. We do not adopt any of our dogs out to people with young children (under 15), for the safety of our dogs. Not good with cats. If you're interested in learning more about Kobe and believe you could provide him with the home he deserves, please submit an adoption application with the link below. https://www.handoverrover.com/adopt/

Story
PWRESCUE.ORG *PHOENIX METRO AREA ONLY*  Pepper is a 10-12 month old, 15 pound Poodle/Havenese mix boy. This young man came to us from the county shelter when his owners did not step up to claim him. He is your typical youngster…he's curious, nosey, active, always wanting to play with others and so happy when they will with him! He will require an active home and lifestyle with at least one other playful dog in the home and hopefully at least one person who is home most of the time to help keep him busy! He is very smart and would love training to make him the best dog he can be!  Pepper is very athletic and is a high-jumper so you'll need to be prepared and have at least 6 foot fencing and gates for the yard.  Keeping this boy occupied will be the challenge, so make sure you have time for that, but once he's used to your schedule and is exercised daily, he'll be a star!  He will do well with older, respectful children and a busy life. He'll want to go everywhere with you and complain when he thinks he's being overlooked!  Pepper is up to date on vaccinations, neutered and microchipped. His adoption fee is $400.00. Story
PWRESCUE.ORG *PHOENIX METRO AREA ONLY* Pansy is a lovely, sweet 7-year-old (15 pound) girl. She is a miniature poodle/American Eskimo mix. Pansy was originally found as a stray and was very dirty and matted when found and is very thankful to the kind people who found her. She is even tempered and would love daily walks. She does get a bit excited on walks seeing other dogs and will need to be shown the proper way to greet other dogs when walking…she is a very smart girl, so this should be an easy task. She does well with most other dogs (just not too many or hectic of an environment), loves some exercise and curling up to watch T.V. with you!  She will do well in moderately activity home, with a single person or a family.  She is a little shy when you first meet her but warms up quickly once she is comfortable.  She is housetrained, is okay with cats but will need supervision at first.  Pansy would love a home with a nice fenced yard to explore and at least one person home most of the time so she can have someone to hang with!  Any children in the home should be at least 12 years old and of a gentle, respectful nature. Pansy will join her new owner with a collar, harness, and a leash. She is vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped. Meet and greets will be set up on approved applications only. Adoption fee: $280.   Pathways Home Animal Rescue December 1, 2023, 4:17 pm

Story
Vanessa is a beautiful, very shy poodle female who is in need of a patient loving adopter. She is just 3 years of age. Vanessa weighs 9 lbs. She came from a hoarding situation so she does not have a lot of socialization to things outside of a normal home environment but once she gets to know you she is very loving and loyal and will greet you enthusiastically. She gets along with the other dogs and seems ok with cats. She would be ok with children over the age of 10 most likely. She will take some time and patience to acclimate to a new home so we are looking for an adopter who lives in a fairly quiet environment who perhaps has experience working with fearful or under socialized dogs. Like many of our rescued dogs we are not sure how much housetraining Vanessa has. She is using a dog door at the rescue. Undoubtedly she will require some patience and consistency to finish up her training. Vanessa will require brushing and professional grooming every 6-8 weeks. Vanessa's adoption fee is $400 This fee includes at least one health exam at our veterinarian while in our care, spaying or neutering, all vaccinations including rabies (as permitted by age), a pre-adoption professional grooming and a microchip with lifetime membership that never will cost you a fee. All dogs also leave with a new collar and or harness and leash as well as a gift bag which includes among other things, a starter bag of the quality kibble that is being fed at the rescue. Adoption fees also allow us the ability to put funds towards the next homeless or unwanted dog in need of rescue! If you would like to be considered to for this adoption or any of our amazing rescues, please fill out the application with the help of this link. https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/AZST/Dog. We review each application carefully. Please understand that sometimes we get numerous applications for specific dogs and as a volunteer-based rescue, we do not always have the time to respond to each one. We do our best to choose the most suitable home for each dog based on their specific personality and needs. Please note you MAY NOT be contacted for up to 10 days to schedule a meet and greet if your family is the most suitable for this rescue dog. Regrettably, we do not have the manpower currently to contact all applicants. We keep ALL applications in our database so please feel free to contact us when you see another dog of interest. We appreciate all applicants and do our best to pair ever dog and family for a successful and happy life.
