Story
** ARIZONA ONLY ** PHOENIX METRO AREA ** Jasper is estimated to be 2-4 years old (54 pounds, he is full grown) and he's relaxed and easy going -- although when he has free rein of his yard, boy does he love to do zoomies and run like a kid on a playground. He is a happy kid (new home must have a nicely maintained yard with grass or turf for him). He was found fending for himself on the streets. Some very nice people found him and looked for owners for over a month but no one every claimed him. Now, it's time he finds a family of his very own so he knows what it's like to be loved unconditionally... like he will love you. Jasper is a Heinz-57 mix. His original intake foster had a DNA test done on him. Like all dogs, he is part Chihuahua (16%), but also includes poodle, pit bull, boxer, American Eskimo, Rottweiler, and more. He is incredibly gentle, sweet, loving, housebroken, good with people, good with other dogs (big and small), and is very nicely mannered. We consider him pretty much perfect. He walks nicely on a leash and rides perfectly in the car ... and we mean perfectly. While as near perfect as he truly is, he is a little stubborn and has a mind of his own. He knows when it's walk time, and when the leash comes out, he comes promptly to sit for the leash to be applied. He loves his walks. But, when it's time for outdoor play, he doesn't want to come back in (work in progress). Or, if he comfortable lounging in the house and someone wants him to come outside... we'll, he'll think about it, and will join you in due time, but not when you call. When it's time for bed, he won't come when you ask him..... but 15-20 minutes later, he will quietly take his place in your room for the night. It's like he's on his own relaxed itinerary. Jasper is a little bit shy at first and while he's fun and playful, a setting with rowdy children or young children would not be good for him. Older children would probably be great... having a family or a handful of people around would probably be great for him. If you have another dog, he wouldn't mind that as he would love to have company for the times you went shopping or to dinner. Jasper is neutered, vet checked, vaccinated, and microchipped. We can set up a meet & greet upon approved application. Please email to request one.

Story
** ARIZONA ONLY ** PHOENIX METRO AREA ** Puppy Bruno would like another fur-play-pal in the home -- he's just precious and loves to play with other dogs, and they will keep him company for the times you have to go out. Bruno was born 12-26-23. His mama was a white bichon poodle about 17 pounds. We think papa might have been chihuahua so we don't expect this guy to get very big. At almost 6 months old, he weighs 12 pounds. Full grown, we are estimating Bruno might end up around 14-15 (guessing). He truly would LOVE another dog or two in the home to be his fur-siblings. Bruno has the cutest little puppy prance and adorable clumsy playstyle... and he's starting to get more and more of his mama's fluff mixed in with his fur (look at his chin). OhMaGersh he's cute! He prefers a yard with grass or turf. Any children in the home must be at least 12 years old and of a significant kind, gentle, responsible, and respectful nature. We can set up a meet & greet upon approved application. Please email to request one.

Story
Kobe is a longtimer in our rescue, and we couldn't tell you why?! We rescued him from a pretty terrible situation 3 years ago. He lived on a 25lb chain, outside, in the Arizona climate for his entire life. He's one of the sweetest and most affectionate, snuggly dogs in our rescue! He's good with dogs and people. Does well on a leash and is great in public! He's a small 20lbs, light enough to carry around like a koala bear! He does great with other dogs. He has been a resource guarder in the past, but we have worked through the vast majority of that habit. It most commonly involved him grabbing something hanging off the counter, or snatching something out of the trash, only lashing out if you went to physically pull him away from the object. He would snap but never would break the skin. It's only enough to give someone a little scare. It's a seamless process for us, however, his adopter will need to be willing to learn the protocols we use to keep everyone safe! We do not adopt any of our dogs out to people with young children (under 15), for the safety of our dogs. Not good with cats. If you're interested in learning more about Kobe and believe you could provide him with the home he deserves, please submit an adoption application with the link below. https://www.handoverrover.org/adoptionapplication

Please contact Constance (connibouchard@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.Rescued dogBiography Important Information Please read! If you are interested in me after reading about me, please visit my site, http://www.breederadoptions.org and follow the instructions. The majority of the dogs we rescue, mostly breeder dogs, have lived their entire lives in less-than-ideal conditions so will need to be socialized, house and leash trained. Most have never lived in a house, walked on a leash, had a treat or sat in a lap. For many of them, their feet have never touched the ground after living for years on wire until they arrive at our main facility where they are evaluated, groomed and given vet care. Most of these dogs are not socialized and need to be cornered to be picked up, so are not suitable for people with physical disabilities or suffer from PTSD. They need folks who will make them the center of their world and help them learn to trust before even attempting to train.  Please do not apply if you do not meet the requirements of the dogs we rescue.  However, they will learn with time, love, patience and most of all, commitment. You must have an ample supply of all of these to reap the rewards of watching these very special dogs become your wonderful companion. We state any known health issues, all are altered unless there is a medical reason not to, which we will advise, any known medical issues addressed, are microchipped, are UTD on all vaccines and have been checked out by at least one veterinarian, usually two. We do not guarantee the health of any of our rescued dogs. The dogs we rescue have lived with other dogs all of their lives and most get along with other dogs. We state if they are dog aggressive. We require a permanent, full-time parent. That means you must be able to spend the majority of your time with your new companion to socialize and train. We do not, under any circumstances, place them in homes with young children as they have not been exposed to children and we do not know how they will react. Hi! My name is Spiderman, and I am a beautiful Poodle boy who Is 4 years old, and I weigh11 pounds. I need a quiet home with a sibling my size to teach me all about this big new world. I am very sweet and social. If you have been waiting for a little Poodle boy, please ask for me on your application to http://www.breederadoptions.org. Love, Spiderman 041523-30  May 8, 2024, 8:45 pm
