Story
Meet Riggs! Riggs is a little bundle of energy and affection who is always ready for his next adventure—or a cozy cuddle session afterward. He loves going for walks and especially enjoys time at the park where he can run, play, and burn off some of his enthusiasm. Riggs gets along well with the other dogs in his foster home. When Riggs came into the care of Valley Dogs, he was suffering from a hip injury that required a femoral head ostectomy (FHO). His veterinarian believes the injury was caused by some type of trauma, such as a fall, jump, or impact to the hip area that resulted in a fracture. Despite his injury, Riggs never let it slow him down. Even before surgery, he happily kept up with his four-legged companions. After surgery, he is simply continuing to enjoy life to the fullest. Riggs would thrive in an active home with a securely fenced yard, especially since he weighs less than 12 pounds. He would love a family that includes him in walks, outings, and everyday activities. While he has not been exposed to children in his foster home, he is expected to do well with respectful kids once he knows he is safe, loved, and part of the family. He would also enjoy having one or more canine companions to play with and help keep him entertained. If you're looking for a fun-loving, resilient, and affectionate little dog to join your family, Riggs may be the perfect match. Contact ADOPT@VALLEYDOGS.ORG today and submit an adoption application to learn more about this special boy.

Story
Meet Kernel (aka Max), your soon-to-be best buddy! Hi there! My name is Kernel, but my foster mom affectionately calls me Max—and I kind of like it. I might come off a bit shy at first, but give me a little time and you'll find me curled up in your lap, handing out kisses like it’s my full-time job. I get along great with the other pups in my foster home (they're all around 35 lbs. and under), and I’ve even had some fun with the neighbor kids! Cats? I haven’t met any yet, so the jury’s still out. I walk nicely on a leash—though sometimes I get a little excited and try to lead the way. A secure yard where I can zoom and sniff would be ideal, and I’d love a doggy sibling to hang out with while you’re out. Snuggle time is very high on my list of favorite things, so don’t be surprised if I sneak into your arms for a cuddle session. I’m potty trained, and while the doggie door is still a bit of a mystery to me, I’m getting the hang of it with practice! Life’s giving me a fresh start, and I’m ready to soak it all in—especially if it involves adventures, soft blankets, and someone to love. Bonus: my ears are ridiculously cute. Come meet me—I have a feeling we’re meant to be! Please email ADOPT@VALLEYDOGS.ORG to schedule a meet & greet.

Story
Meet Duckie, an adorable little guy weighing 8 lbs but possessing a larger-than-life personality and an even bigger ‘tude!! At around two years old, Duckie is full of energy and loves to play. He enjoys entertaining himself with toys and zooming around. He gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes, as well as cats, and is fantastic with children. The Duckster is quite the Velcro dog. When he’s not busy running around causing mischief, squeaking, or growling at his toys, he loves to snuggle right on top of you, showering you with kisses. He is incredibly affectionate and enjoys being held and carried around. Duckie embodies the typical chihuahua traits, being a bit yappy and overly protective of his family when it comes to strangers. Currently, he wears a belly band to assist with his marking. Having just been neutered, this, along with the belly band, should help him learn to do his business outside. Duckie and Fievel are a bonded pair and should be adopted together — or, if adopted separately, each will need to have a canine sibling in their new home. Duckie has a medical condition that is currently well managed with daily medication and routine veterinary care. While he has experienced occasional seizure-like episodes, he has not been formally diagnosed with epilepsy. He thrives with a consistent routine and a loving caregiver who is comfortable giving medication and providing a calm, supportive environment. With the right home, Duckie can continue to enjoy a happy, playful and love-filled life.  So, if you’re in search of a companion who will entertain you, cuddle with you, and protect you from any scary monsters and things that go bump in the night, Duckie is the perfect match! PLEASE EMAIL BICKLEKT@GMAIL.COM to meet Duckie.

Story
Meet Kali—a lovable, loyal little lady with a big personality! Kali is the perfect blend of curious and cuddly. She’s an explorer at heart and enjoys checking out her surroundings, but she’s no troublemaker—Kali does great at home even when left alone. True to her dachshund roots, she’s got a strong prey drive and loves chasing birds or the occasional feral cat, so she’ll do best in a home without small pets like cats, guinea pigs, or reptiles. Kali lives for park days and adores playing chase with her doggie pals. She’d thrive in a home with a secure backyard (she is part dachshund, after all—digging is in her DNA!) and would love a furry sibling to hang out with while her humans are away. She gets along well with other dogs her size. Kali isn’t shy about expressing herself—if she thinks she’s missing out on the fun, she’ll let you know with a few vocal opinions. :) When the day winds down, Kali transforms into a total cuddlebug. She’ll gently nuzzle in close, letting you know she’s ready for some cozy snuggles and a little extra love. This sweet girl is ready to bring joy, adventure, and a whole lot of love to her forever family. EMAIL ADOPT@VALLEYDOGS.ORG to meet Kali and see for yourself what a gem she is!

Story
Meet Pixel! Pixel is a handsome 1½-year-old, 9-pound brindle Chihuahua mix with a huge personality packed into a tiny body! If you're looking for a fun, energetic little sidekick who will keep you smiling, Pixel may be your perfect match. This little guy loves to play! He can happily entertain himself for hours with stuffed toys and chew toys, and outside he's usually busy doing nonstop zoomies around the yard. Pixel doesn't really walk—he prefers to run, hop, and bounce everywhere he goes! He also takes his neighborhood security duties very seriously, making sure no suspicious visitors sneak into his territory. Once he's burned off his energy, Pixel transforms into the sweetest cuddle buddy. He loves spending his evenings snuggled up with his people and will happily soak up all the affection you're willing to give. He's also quite the conversationalist, making the cutest little grumbly noises whenever he wants your attention, so expect plenty of adorable chats throughout the day. Pixel is potty pad trained. Outside, he can get so excited or a little nervous that he often forgets to go potty, so he'll do best with a patient family willing to continue helping him build confidence. He generally does well with other dogs, although he likes to act much tougher than he really is. With slow introductions, he should do well with most canine companions. He's also good with cats and seems to do well with children. If you're looking for a playful, affectionate little companion with endless charm, lots of personality, and a heart full of love, Pixel is ready to become your new best friend and loyal sidekick. ****PLEASE EMAIL ADOPT@VALLEYDOGS.ORG for an adoption application.
