Story
Meet Dr. Frank-N-Furter! This 5-year-old, 20-pound long-haired dachshund is a charming little gentleman with a big personality and an even bigger love for people. Friendly, affectionate, and always ready for snuggles, Frankie believes the best place to be is right next to his person - especially if snacks are involved!
After leaving his former puppy mill life behind, Frankie is discovering just how wonderful the world can be. He's making excellent progress with house training-a huge accomplishment-and is learning the comforts of home life one cozy nap at a time. He absolutely adores a soft bed and will happily burrow in for a well deserved snooze.
Frankie is working on a healthier lifestyle. He enjoys running and exploring in the backyard, so a securely fenced yard is a must to help him stay active and continue his weight-loss journey.
He is fostered with other dogs his size and does well with them, but his true passion is spending time with his humans, soaking up attention, and enjoying life's simple pleasures.
If you're looking for a loving companion with a sweet spirit, a fondness for cuddles, and a determination to thrive, Dr. Frank-N-Furter may be your perfect match. He's ready to leave his past behind and start his next chapter in a home full of patience, comfort and love.
Dr. Frank-N-Furter is fostered in the Cincinnati area. His adoption fee is $450.00.
To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt
All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.
For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible.
We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
