Buu Buu is a 1-year-old, small mixed breed who is sweet as can be. He weighs approximately 25 pounds. Buu Buu didn’t get a real great start to life. He was rescued with his sister Molly from a very inhabitable environment and has been so scared but is starting to open up to being free. He is so sweet. He just follows you around like a little shadow. He loves to cuddle and be a part of whatever is going on. He’s good on a leash, good with other dogs (no cats) and is working on crate and potty training. He just wants his forever lap to lay in. Does yours have room? Sisters TAMALE and TORTILLA are big fun in small packages. These little girls are 9 month old 14 pound (fully grown!) mixed breed pups. They are lively, energetic, playful girls who need homes where they will get lots of playtime. They love toys and chewies. Tamale and Tortilla are dog friendly and best suited to homes with another playful dog. They are fine with cats. Our best guess on breed is some dachshund, some beagle, maybe a little chihuahua and the rest is anybody's guess! Tortilla has the markings of a blue merle dachshund and brilliant blue/brown eyes. Tiny Tamale looks like bit like a lab but she is a very small girl! These silly pups will need a bit of training work, but they are bright, good natured and food motivated so training should be fun! If you'd like to meet Tortilla or Tamale, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoption fee covers the dog’s veterinary care, including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, deworming, flea and tick prevention, heartworm prevention and any other needed veterinary care. A deposit is required to take a dog home for a trial period. The deposit will be applied to the dog’s final adoption fee. Chico does have a seizure disorder that is controlled well with phenobarbital. His seizures were only about 1 a week but no one wants to let it happen so the meds were started and work GREAT!
