He can be bossy and loud, especially when he’s excited or has something important to announce. One thing is non-negotiable: Walter LOVES toys. Loves them. Collects them. Buries them all over the yard like priceless treasure. So, an adopter who understands boundaries and structure will be key. Walter needs time and patience to build trust. He isn’t the kind of dog who falls in love at first sight—but once he forms a relationship, his softer, more affectionate side starts to shine. The bond you earn with Walter is a special one. Because Walter does best with slow, thoughtful introductions, he is available by appointment only. Story
Layla is a sweet, very playful 1 yr old, (11/29/24), weighing in at 62 lb on 2/18/26. She does follow some commands but, somewhat hard-headed to do this with consistency. She eats well between 5-6 pm. Completed spay surgery on 2/18. Motivated by food. Enjoys toys but, must be sturdy! Loves walks however, triggered by other dogs in close proximity; added exposure needed. Sit means Sit training to begin 4/22. She has acclimated to life with my 7 year old unneutered 152 lb Presa canario and 37 lb 13 year old Terrier mix. This took 3 months. Both have a very calm temperament and were initially disrupted by her very playful behavior. House training has improved; never relieves in living space but will in crate without a watchful eye on her cues. Requires a lot of time and attention. Want to avoid kill-sites; all no-kill facilities have been full for some time now. Hopefully a permanent home presents sooner than later.
