Raven is my name and kind of like a raven, I am a 'loner'... except for the puppies i had when I arrived at the rescue... I was saved by a trapper on the streets, they weren't even there to save ME that day, but they did!!! I am obviously a beautiful girl, big and solid as well as black and brindly. I am a loving girl, in my own way... i lived on the streets for who knows how long and I honestly am not a cuddly girl or even a sit by your feet dog, YET... I have all kinds of love to give, you can see in my eyes that I have always dreamed of someone with the patience to love me for who I am and who I can be!! I am great on a leash and do love walking around and exploring. I am good with other dogs and likely would do best with another dog who is calm and confident with his/her family. I am so so ready for you, I have the shepherd double coat so I will shed in your house, must have a great vacuum cleaner and tolerance of hair :) Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Hannah has a ton of energy so will require an active home that will give her a job to do to prevent boredom, and a home preferably with a fenced in yard so she can get all her energy out.Hannah does have a tendency to jump very high when she's excited and wants to say hello, so we are seeking a home with older, breed savvy children. Meet Max, a 1.5-year-old Malinois mix with a gentle, sweet nature. His previous owner described him as lively and lovable, and once he feels comfortable, that personality really shines. Max enjoys playtime and cuddling with his people and forms strong bonds with those he trusts. Max can be shy in new situations and with unfamiliar people, but he warms up quickly when approached calmly and gently. He is house trained when let out regularly and benefits from a predictable routine that helps him feel secure. Max is scared of other dogs and cats and will try to avoid them, so he’s looking for a home where he can be the only pet. He has not lived with children, but may do well with calm, respectful kids ages 10 and up. Max does guard his food and may growl if someone approaches while he’s eating, so his future home should be comfortable respecting his boundaries around mealtimes. With patience, understanding, and a low-key environment, Max will be a wonderfully loving companion. Ready to Adopt? You have two options: #1- VISIT IN PERSON Come during our open adoption hours: Tuesday - Saturday,12:30 - 3:00pm. You’ll be able to meet available dogs in the shelter.
