Story
Meet Kiwi, a beautiful 1-2 year old spayed female Dutch Shepherd mix!  Kiwi is the loving mama of the Fruit Litter (Fig, Cherry, and Guava) and, like a kiwifruit, she is sweet as can be!  She is a medium sized dog weighing about 40-45 lbs.  She is good with other dogs and all people, including kids.  She has not been cat tested, so we are unsure how she would do with cats. Kiwi is medically up to date, housebroken, and crate trained. She loves to hang with her foster dad watching TV and also loves to look out the window and watch the birds and people walking by.  She is currently being fostered in CT and she can't wait to meet you!  ##2004166##

Story
Meet Fig, a darling 11 week old female Dutch Shepherd/Aussie Cattle Dog mix!  Fig and her siblings were rescued in TN and are making their way up north along with mama Kiwi to find their furever homes!  She currently weighs about 10 lbs and is expected to grow to a medium sized dog.  She is a typical happy, playful puppy who is good with everyone - dogs, cats, people, and kids.  She is working on housebreaking and crate training and learning how to be the best doggo! Fig is a little miracle pup who overcame a scary emergency situation when she was diagnosed with pulmonary edema (fluid in the lungs) shortly after arriving in her TN foster home.  She spent a few nights in the University of Tennessee vet hospital on critical care, and was touch and go for a bit, truly fighting for her life.  After multiple rounds of oxygen and mechancial ventilation, this little fighter finally started to improve, and was released back to her relieved foster dad, where she returned to her mom and siblings.  Fig is now back to her normal self and has a clean bill of health and the rest of her life ahead of her! Fig is fostered in a loving CT foster home and can't wait for her furever family!  ##2004176##

**IMPORTANT ADOPTION INFORMATION** -ALL dogs are fostered in Mississippi unless otherwise noted. -We do transport dogs to the east coast. Cooper is a young adult dog with a very sweet, happy and friendly temperament. Cooper wouldn't have any problem adapting to any family lifestyle. He loves to play with kids and or other dogs; however, he would be just as happy watching TV with you all day (a real couch potato). If you are interested in adopting or meeting Cooper, please fill out an application. Link to application is below: https://www.blueskydogrescue.com/adoption/

**** Breed Experience or similar breed experience will only be considered***Name: HannahBreed: Dutch Shepherd MixAge: Under 2 years oldKids: 12+ Cats: NoDogs: NoHold onto your hearts, Hannah is hard not to fall in love with!! This beautiful girl came to MHS as a transfer from a local animal control partner. Hannah is estimated to be a little over a year old and has an equal amount of boundless energy as she has love to give!Hannah will require a home with Shepherd/Belgian Malinois, or similar breed experience. Hannah is extremely smart and loyal to her people, this girl knows all the basic commands, and then some! Hannah has a ton of energy so will require an active home that will give her a job to do to prevent boredom, and a home preferably with a fenced in yard so she can get all her energy out.Hannah does have a tendency to jump very high when she's excited and wants to say hello, so we are seeking a home with older, breed savvy children. Hannah would prefer a home without any other animals.Hannah is microchipped, UTD on her vaccinations, and is spayed. If you think you can give Hannah her forever home, please fill out an adoption application today!!!https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=meridenhumanesociety&method=online_form_html&formid=27

Story
Drake is a handsome lad all decked out in black which is becoming of him! He is approx 3 years old and loves to run and play with his foster siblings. He will play with his doggie toys all day long and has such a great time. See the video below:) Drake is learning to walk on a leash and is learning his house manners. He is crate-trained and rides well in the car. We are not sure of his breed, but Dutch Sheperd and Australian Kelpie/Cattle Dog seem fitting. He gets along well with other dogs after proper introductions. Go ahead and apply to adopt this sweet boy! He would love to be running/walking/jogging the trails this Spring with his new family or snuggling on the couch would suit him fine. Drake is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. This dog has tested negtive for heartworms. The adoption fee is $450 if your adoption is prepaid and final prior to your dog's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on dogs that are picked up from our Southbury CT adoption center, adopted at an event, or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you! If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get a confirmation. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back. After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.
