Story
Stormy Skye has done a fantastic job of raising her puppies, and now she is looking for a home of her own.  She was THE BEST momma ever  - she kept her puppies safe while she cared for them on the streets of Houston, even during one of the worst cold freezes ever in TX.  And now she needs her own hero. Stormy is loving, good tempered and seems to have been raised by someone who gave her some training.  Very even tempered and affectionate.  And she does have drive.  She was very thin when she came to us in early February, but as she gains weight and energy she is showing more of her personality.  As she gains weight and decompresses, we will learn more about her.  And we already adore her. She is wonderful around older children.  She has not been fully introduced to other dogs as she just finished helping her darling puppies reach 8 weeks.  She needs time to heal  from her experiences as a mom taking care of her puppies on her own.  She is heartworm positive, but this is common in TX and her case is not a heavy infestation.  MAD is paying for her treatment.  As she gains strength, she will be showing more of her drive and playfulness. We already know she is a very loving, affectionate companion.  This girl is special.  Please reach out if you have any questions about her.   ******************************************* All MAD dogs come with a Fi Collar and six-months subscription.  If you are interested in adopting this pet please complete an application at this link  https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/24689/generic.  We are an official 501c3 organization that does not have a physical location. Story
#MADLoveRuger is built for an active person who wants a partner for every adventure ‍. He helped the foster change a floodlight today and even tried to climb the ladder with him. That is Ruger in a nutshell. Curious, involved, and always ready to go. He has a serious nose . A coon got into the foster’s backyard and Ruger picked up the scent the second they opened the door. He is smart, confident, and learns fast. His ball drive is the real deal . He does not mind rain. With the right guidance he would be a fantastic dock diving dog. He is excellent on leash. He is house trained. He is people friendly in neutral spaces. At home he becomes protective of his people and his space, which is natural for him but worth knowing. For kids, older is better than younger. He would thrive with an active family that wants a go everywhere dog. Neutral, calm pets could be fine with slow and proper introductions. High-energy dogs and young puppies are not a match for him. A privacy fence is the better choice for him. He can be reactive to other dogs through chain link and we are working on it with redirected ball play. He should not be left unsupervised yet. He will get into things. He is too smart for his own good. Ruger is sharp, loyal, and ready to bond hard with the right person. If you want a partner who keeps up, keeps you laughing, and keeps life interesting, he is your guy.   All MAD dogs come with a Fi Collar and six-months subscription.  If you are interested in adopting this pet please complete an application at this link  https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/24689/generic.  We are an official 501c3 organization that does not have a physical location. Story
INKY – STEADY. LOYAL. YOURS. Some dogs demand attention. Inky earns respect. Inky is settled in foster and showing us exactly who he is — and what he is… is solid. He’s a young Dutch Shepherd who doesn’t need to be the loudest dog in the room. Thoughtful, observant, and deeply loyal, Inky is the kind of dog who bonds hard and takes that role seriously. He’ll patrol his yard like it matters… and then claim the couch like he’s always belonged there. Why Inky: Walks beautifully on leash Neutral with dogs and people Calm greetings, not overly pushy Knows basic obedience Highly food motivated (loves to learn) Enjoys tug, fetch, zoomies… and downtime with his person He’s not chaotic. He’s not needy. He’s the kind of dog who settles into your life — and becomes part of it in a real way. What Inky needs:• Structure and clear expectations• Thoughtful introductions to new people• Continued guidance with space/toy boundaries• Likely best without young kids• Could do well with another balanced dog Inky communicates clearly, appreciates his space, and thrives when he knows what’s expected of him. Give him that — and you’ll get a dog who is loyal, grounded, and all in. No chaos. No nonsense. Just a really good dog. *********************************************************************** MAD Rescue is an official 501c3 foster based rescue organization and does not have a physical location. Story
Knox is a 2 year old Dutch Shepherd mix. He is a big boy weighing in at 76 pounds who is full of puppy like joy and love. He can be shy with new people at first, but warms up and wants all the pets he can get. He loves to play with his toys and is happy playing by himself or with his people. He is learning to fetch, but right now he thinks its fun, not an absolute need.  Knox is good on a leash and loves going on walks. He can ignore barking dogs and other noises. He will look, but not react much, if at all. For the most part, Knox is a very laid back dog with a good off switch. He is crate and potty trained. At the shelter Knox did ok with a dog for room mate, but it looks like at sometime in the past he was attacked by another dog.so he needs very slow introductions (like 2 weeks or more) and a person that canmake sure the other dog gives him room to be comfortable. Given a choice with a dog pushing at him he will run away, however if he feels threatened he has snapped at other dogs. He currently plays in a group of 4 dogs and does great. Knox is an absolute love.  ##2409582##

Story
Sweet minnow was found as a stray in South Florida and is suspected to have been dumped. She is very petite but seems to have had some training.   Minnow is a high-energy, intelligent, affectionate girl who has a whole lot going for her. She’s confident, curious, playful, adventurous, food and toy motivated, and very handler focused. She has plenty of energy when it’s time to go, but her foster says she is also perfectly happy to just hang out when the day is done. One of Minnow’s biggest strengths is how much she enjoys training and wants to work with her person. Her foster describes her as “super smart and very eager to please,” which has made training with her very easy. She already knows several commands, including sit, down, stay, leave it, shake, and place, and she is continuing to work on her leash skills. She may not be a finished product yet, but she is the kind of dog who gives you plenty to work with—and genuinely enjoys the process.Around the house, Minnow is house trained, crate trained, sleeps through the night, and does not counter surf or chew inappropriate things. She can still benefit from some supervision, but overall she has a great foundation of house manners. She handles alone time well and does well with visitors, nail trims, loud noises, and the vacuum. Baths are one of the few things her foster hasn’t been able to fully test yet because of her recent spay.Minnow is social and playful with other dogs and has shown respectful behavior with them. She has also had exposure to children and a variety of everyday environments and experiences. Her report card reflects a dog who has already had a good amount of real-world exposure while in foster and continues to learn how to navigate new situations. She can occasionally be unsure in certain situations and may bark when she doesn’t quite know what to make of something. Car rides can also vary—sometimes she is nervous and other times she relaxes. These are areas where continued exposure, patience, and clear guidance will help her continue building confidence. When she isn’t working that busy brain, Minnow enjoys her spiky ball, beef sticks, and being as close to her person as possible. Her favorite place to nap? Right in your lap. So while there is plenty of dog here for someone who wants an active companion, there’s an affectionate side waiting for you at the end of the day, too. Minnow’s foster believes she will make a fantastic companion for an active household and recommends an experienced owner who understands that a smart, high-energy dog needs more than just physical exercise. She’ll thrive with someone who enjoys training, provides structure and consistency, and wants a dog they can continue learning and doing things with. Minnow has the energy to keep up, the brains to learn, the desire to please, and apparently the firm belief that she is still lap-dog sized. With the right person, there is a lot of potential packed into this girl. All MAD dogs come with a Fi Collar and 6 month subscription.  If you are interested in adopting this pet please complete an application at this link  https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/24689/generic.  *********************************************************************** We are an official 501c3 organization that does not have a physical location.
