This is boy was a surrender along with his siblings at 6 weeks old. We only know he is a Dutch Shepherd and Belgian Malinois. He is loveable, smart and shy. He would do great with another dog to boost his self confidence. Bentley needs time to warm up. He likes kids, but would probably do best with older children. He likes dogs, and cats.

Story
Becca is a joyful, affectionate dog who absolutely adores her people. She's one of the best companions I've ever had. She is loyal, happy, and full of love. Her tail is always wagging, and she brings a smile to everyone she meets. She walks well on a leash when she knows you're in charge, but she can be a bit strong-willed if given the chance to lead. With a confident handler, she's a dream to walk. Due to a past incident where she was attacked by a small dog, Becca does not do well with small animals and would thrive in a home where she's the only pet. 💔 Why I am Rehoming Her It breaks my heart to say goodbye, but Becca needs more space than I can provide. She's not adjusting well to our small home and truly deserves a yard where she can run and play freely. This decision is made out of love and the desire to give her the life she deserves.

Thank you.*** Darwin is such a happy guy! He is estimated to be about a year old and weighs 55 pounds. Darwin is a stunning, gorgeous young pup that is just full of love and goofy antics! He's a very affectionate boy who just wants to please and seems highly trainable. So playful too and always eager to explore his surroundings and sniff out new adventures, he is going to make someone a wonderful companion. However, he will need a leader who can provide structure, as well as some basic obedience. Darwin does have some mild food bowl guarding as well, but he is doing great with his training with “sit and wait” for his bowl, easily being called out with hot dogs and making eye contact when trading up. If you are an experienced dog owner who is ready to give Darwin all the love and support he needs, please come and meet him, he is quite wonderful. He will need an adult only home. If you are interested in Darwin and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend! *Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. We also do not do cat testing, so we do not know how a dog will do with cats. Not all dogs are available to go home on the same day you first meet.*

 Meet Laila Rose! Fostered in South Carolina  This stunning 2–3-year-old Dutch Shepherd is currently being fostered in South Carolina — and she’s ready to impress! #madloveLailaRose may have been picked up as a stray, but she clearly has some serious training under her belt (off leash heel, center heel, center heel into a downstay, sit, down, stay, and confidence on various surfaces). She’s housebroken, crate trained, and incredibly handler-focused. In fact, her crate is her happy place — she loves to settle in and relax when it’s time to unwind. She’s also great with other dogs and enjoys calm canine company.  Cats are untested, and small children have made her a bit nervous and on high alert, so a home with older kids or adults would likely be her best fit. Laila Rose rides beautifully in the car (you’d hardly know she’s back there!) and recently joined her foster for a trip to Tractor Supply where she was the picture of good behavior: neutral, well-mannered, and walking politely right next to the shopping cart.  And when it’s time for fun? !  She will fetch for as long as you’ll throw for her. Meet Jersey, Jersey is a 10 month old Dutch Shepherd from the suburbs of San Jose, California. She was found as a stray and sadly no one came forward for her. She began to shut down and become extremely stressed in her kennel. With shelter attempted introductions, Jersey was unable to prefomr at her best with meeting other dogs, she was not agressive but did not know how to handle meeting other dogs.  While we are still learning more about Jersey and who exactly she is, we do know she is going to require an active family with an experienced handler. *********************************************** To apply to adopt, please fill out the application by clicking on the Adopt button or ask for this dog to be added to your existing application.
