Hi! My name is Bessie and I just arrived from Alabama in November! I currently live with my foster family (a human mom, dad, and 3 kids ages 10, 7, and 3). They all LOVE me and give me hugs, belly rubs, and ear scratches. I am an eager learner, and have already learned sit, gentle, and leave it. I am getting better with potty training too! I love being outside, playing with other dogs, chewing my nylabone and Kong, and snuggling on the couch. Sometimes I forget that I'm 70 pounds, and need reminders to be gentle with the smaller humans, but I'm working on it! A play date with a furry friend is a great outlet for me.I quietly sleep in my crate overnight AND when mom goes to work. When she's working from home, I closely supervise and chew on my toys or snooze. I am looking for a family who has room in their hearts and home for a big and fun snuggle bug!! Is it you? ❤️ --------------------------------------------"I'll be home for Christmas!" For applications received now through 12/31/2025, Warrior Dog Rescue is reducing the adoption fee of all pups. This is reflected in the adoption fee shown below.All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption. Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. Their breed description is based on our very best educated guess based on physical characteristics and their dispositions. Raven is my name and kind of like a raven, I am a 'loner'... except for the puppies i had when I arrived at the rescue... I was saved by a trapper on the streets, they weren't even there to save ME that day, but they did!!! I am obviously a beautiful girl, big and solid as well as black and brindly. I am a loving girl, in my own way... i lived on the streets for who knows how long and I honestly am not a cuddly girl or even a sit by your feet dog, YET... I have all kinds of love to give, you can see in my eyes that I have always dreamed of someone with the patience to love me for who I am and who I can be!! I am great on a leash and do love walking around and exploring. I am good with other dogs and likely would do best with another dog who is calm and confident with his/her family. I am so so ready for you, I have the shepherd double coat so I will shed in your house, must have a great vacuum cleaner and tolerance of hair :) Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Ginger is a sweet old lady dog (12) just looking for a place to relax and lounge her days away. She likes to take in the occasional stroll around the block, with or without you, she is not picky. But she will generally settle for a little jaunt around the back yard before spending the afternoon sunning in her favorites spot, a pile of newly disturbed dirt. If you enjoy gardening, she'll find you plenty of new spots for those petunias.  When she comes in for the day she enjoys lounging on a nice fluffy dog bed, the couch, your bed; whatever you find most comfortable. Her other hobbies include chewing on a new squeaky toy until it doesn't squeak, nibbing on her stuffies until their appendages are missing & looking for people food that might be accessible to her. Ginger enjoys the company of other dogs & cats as long as she can make an exit quietly if things get loud or too rambunctious for her liking. She also does great with kids in the same regards, and prefers to enjoy their presence from a distance when the volume & activity gets turned up to much. Ginger doesn't mind taking in a nap away from her people or lounging in the basement, but she prefers to know they are in the house. She gets a little panicked when she's alone which results in household destruction. That fear carries over when she is crated as well, so she'd do best in an household where someone is home with her on a regular basis.   Ginger has previously tested positive for lymes, which is a chronic health condition that can cause flare ups & may need to be treated with antibiotics over time.
