Welcome Kai to CCPAL Rescue foster program. Kai is a very sweet pup. She weighs about 28 pounds and should stay medium sized. She is good on a leash, good with other dogs. She is mostly with her sister in her foster home. She uses a doggy door and is good on leash and in a car. She would be best with someone that is active and outdoorsy. She would be fine as an only dog or would be good with another dog. She will be a fun one to train. She has good eye contact and attention to who is speaking with her. She has one upright ear and one that is not. She is getting her vaccinations and will be spayed and ready for her forever home. She is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. She would be a great family companion and could go with children. We like children to be 8 or older. Please be patient when you put in your application. Adoption fee for Kia is $400 and transport is $200. This is a very desirable breed mix. We are being very careful in vetting people and we are a small group of volunteers. Raven is my name and kind of like a raven, I am a 'loner'... except for the puppies i had when I arrived at the rescue... I was saved by a trapper on the streets, they weren't even there to save ME that day, but they did!!! I am obviously a beautiful girl, big and solid as well as black and brindly. I am a loving girl, in my own way... i lived on the streets for who knows how long and I honestly am not a cuddly girl or even a sit by your feet dog, YET... I have all kinds of love to give, you can see in my eyes that I have always dreamed of someone with the patience to love me for who I am and who I can be!! I am great on a leash and do love walking around and exploring. I am good with other dogs and likely would do best with another dog who is calm and confident with his/her family. Hi! My name is Bessie and I just arrived from Alabama! In Alabama I was around other dogs with no issue. I currently live with my foster family (a human mom, dad, and 3 kids ages 10, 7, and 3). They all LOVE me and give me hugs, belly rubs, and ear scratches. They call me their sweet and silly "bat dog" ... something about my ears apparently ;) I walk nicely on a leash and have not pulled too much unless I spy a friend I desperately want to meet. I really love being outside... I think I would like a fenced yard so I can hang independently from time to time. I don’t love going potty with someone real close by, but if long walks are your thing, I can do that too! I am not high energy inside the home, but if offered some playtime, I am game! Mom says I'm just so accommodating. And have you SEEN my puppy dog eyes? Secret weapon ;)I quietly sleep in my crate overnight AND when mom goes to work. When she's working from home, I closely supervise. My favorite treat is peanut butter. Oh! Don't forget to ask about my army crawl sprawl! I am looking for a family who has room in their hearts and home for a big, gentle, and fun snuggle bug!! She is house-trained and loves her kennel — it’s her safe haven for both bedtime and chilling during the day. Hi, my name is Ohio, a 1 year old German Shepherd mix, and I am looking for my forever home. My foster mom is a middle school teacher and she keeps saying, "Her name might be Ohio, but she is definitely not skibidi. She has a 100% Aura rating." I am not exactly sure what that means, but I think it means that I am pretty awesome, which I am. She also says that I am a very pretty and sweet girl who has the most beautiful, soulful eyes. Well, that is true too. So far I have had no accidents in the house, and I let my fosters know when I have to go outside. My foster mom said that since I seem anxious about gates and kennels that I can stay out at night and when they are away. I have been doing well, but I am kind of a hoarder...I keep myself busy by bringing a bunch of things to my bed to keep me occupied. Did you know that I live with a cat and two house horses?! Well, my fosters tell me they are called great danes, but they sure do look like horses! We get along pretty well, and I like to play with them. I also love all the people I meet, and a lot of times I get so excited that I jump on them, but really I am just trying to give hugs and kisses. I am learning to give my hugs and kisses from the ground, and I am a fast learner. While I am a little anxious to get into the car, I love riding when I am in and settled. I am also learning to walk on a leash!
