Story
Raven is my name and kind of like a raven, I am a 'loner'... except for the puppies i had when I arrived at the rescue... I was saved by a trapper on the streets, they weren't even there to save ME that day, but they did!!! I am obviously a beautiful girl, big and solid as well as black and brindly. I am a loving girl, in my own way... i lived on the streets for who knows how long and I honestly am not a cuddly girl or even a sit by your feet dog, YET... I have all kinds of love to give, you can see in my eyes that I have always dreamed of someone with the patience to love me for who I am and who I can be!! I am great on a leash and do love walking around and exploring. I am good with other dogs and likely would do best with another dog who is calm and confident with his/her family. I am so so ready for you, I have the shepherd double coat so I will shed in your house, must have a great vacuum cleaner and tolerance of hair :) Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Welcome Kai to CCPAL Rescue foster program. Kai is a very sweet pup. She weighs about 28 pounds and should stay medium sized. She is good on a leash, good with other dogs. She is mostly with her sister in her foster home. She uses a doggy door and is good on leash and in a car. She would be best with someone that is active and outdoorsy. She would be fine as an only dog or would be good with another dog. She will be a fun one to train. She has good eye contact and attention to who is speaking with her. She has one upright ear and one that is not. She is getting her vaccinations and will be spayed and ready for her forever home. She is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. She would be a great family companion and could go with children. We like children to be 8 or older. Please be patient when you put in your application. Adoption fee for Kia is $400 and transport is $200. This is a very desirable breed mix. We are being very careful in vetting people and we are a small group of volunteers. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpalrescue.org See her cute video!!

Story
Hi! My name is Bessie and I just arrived from Alabama! In Alabama I was around other dogs with no issue. I currently live with my foster family (a human mom, dad, and 3 kids ages 10, 7, and 3). They all LOVE me and give me hugs, belly rubs, and ear scratches. They call me their sweet and silly "bat dog" ... something about my ears apparently ;) I walk nicely on a leash and have not pulled too much unless I spy a friend I desperately want to meet. I really love being outside... I think I would like a fenced yard so I can hang independently from time to time. I don’t love going potty with someone real close by, but if long walks are your thing, I can do that too! I am not high energy inside the home, but if offered some playtime, I am game! Mom says I'm just so accommodating. And have you SEEN my puppy dog eyes? Secret weapon ;)I quietly sleep in my crate overnight AND when mom goes to work. When she's working from home, I closely supervise. My favorite treat is peanut butter. Oh! Don't forget to ask about my army crawl sprawl! I am looking for a family who has room in their hearts and home for a big, gentle, and fun snuggle bug!! It just might be YOU! --------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption. Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. Their breed description is based on our very best educated guess based on physical characteristics and their dispositions. If they came to our rescue as an owner surrender, the breed description will be listed as provided by the previous owner.Adoption Fee - $500To apply for this pup, please submit an Adoption Application at http://warriordogrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application/

Story
Joey is a seven-month-old shepherd mix with a goofy personality and the bounce of a baby kangaroo—which is exactly how he got his name! At around 55 lbs now, Joey is a happy, healthy, energetic boy who loves to play all day and explore new things.Joey settled into his foster home quickly and now spends his days playing with his foster dog brother, exploring anything new, and hopping around with excitement whenever the mood strikes. Joey is fully potty trained, heads to the door when he needs to go out, and sleeps comfortably in his crate. With visitors or noises outside, he’s quick to let you know what’s going on, so he cannot live in a home with shared walls (no apartments/townhomes).He’s great with other dogs and currently lives with two kids under ten, soaking up their attention and affection. Joey cannot live with cats and would be happiest in a feline-free home. He has moderate energy and would love a daily walk, backyard time on a lead, and plenty of opportunities to romp with a dog friend or enjoy a sturdy chew toy. Once he’s had his fun, he crashes hard and loves a long, lazy nap. Joey is a healthy, joyful boy who’s still growing into his big ears and bigger personality, and he’s ready for a family who’ll enjoy his lovable kangaroo hops as much as he does. If you are interested in Joey, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/The adoption fee is $550. Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, heartworm/Lyme test, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and Bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchip implant (including registration). Adoption fees INCLUDE a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. Due to post-adoption services provided, we prefer to adopt within a 150-mile radius of the Twin Cities. However, we will consider up to 250 miles if the foster agrees to travel requirements and staff approval.

Story
Mayberry is a 6-year-old German Shepherd who loves to learn new tricks and tasks! She is a very fast learner, especially when given cheese, but she can be persuaded with almost any treat. But be prepared—she will show her appreciation through lots of kisses.Mayberry is house-trained and crate-trained, sleeping in her crate at night and when home alone. She isn't too much of a barker, and when lounging around or in the kennel, Mayberry will chew on hard bones for hours. She is cautious around strangers and takes a little bit to warm up to you. But once she gets to know you, she'll be stuck on you like glue.In her future home, Mayberry will need a a family who does not have other pets. She hasn't been around children yet, but she will need a home with dog-savvy children at least 13 years old and up who can respect her boundaries.Mayberry enjoys going for walks and getting to smell everything along the way. We're working on leash manners and she is doing well so far. She's extremely playful and loves to run around in the backyard and play fetch for as long as you can throw. Her favorite toys to play with are frisbees, squeaky toys and plush animals. Mayberry has a high prey drive so a fenced yard will be required while she's in training. She may also do well in a home without a fence but enough land where other people and pets aren't nearby. She is a very spunky girl with lots of character and would love to be given a chance with someone who has time to work with her and be patient. If you are interested in this dog, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/The adoption fee is $450. Story
Truckee is a four-year-old German Shepherd mix who firmly believes he's a 55-lb lap dog. He approaches with his head tucked in and gently paws at you for attention, then trots around when he’s excited, following you everywhere to supervise your tasks. He settled into home life right away, fully house-trained and crate-trained. Truckee sleeps comfortably in his crate at night and stays in it when left alone, entering it on command like a pro. He came into foster care underweight and a little unsure, so he still looks for food, but he’s learning quickly that meals and love are consistent and safe.Truckee is gentle with everyone he meets though he will need to learn more confidence when making new friends. He is curious about other dogs and cats, though unsure, so a proper introduction is recommended. He’s also been kind to all people, but does not have a lot of experience with young kids.Truckee is energetic, loves anything outdoors, and gets two walks a day plus lots of yard time. He adores his tennis balls—fetch, chewing, carrying them around—you name it. He will require a fenced yard due to his energy level and can jump quite high. This sweetheart is looking for an active, patient family to give all his love to.
