Raven is my name and kind of like a raven, I am a 'loner'... except for the puppies i had when I arrived at the rescue... I was saved by a trapper on the streets, they weren't even there to save ME that day, but they did!!! I am obviously a beautiful girl, big and solid as well as black and brindly. I am a loving girl, in my own way... i lived on the streets for who knows how long and I honestly am not a cuddly girl or even a sit by your feet dog, YET... I have all kinds of love to give, you can see in my eyes that I have always dreamed of someone with the patience to love me for who I am and who I can be!! I am great on a leash and do love walking around and exploring. I am good with other dogs and likely would do best with another dog who is calm and confident with his/her family. I am so so ready for you, I have the shepherd double coat so I will shed in your house, must have a great vacuum cleaner and tolerance of hair :) Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Hi! My name is Bessie and I just arrived from Alabama in November! I currently live with my foster family (a human mom, dad, and 3 kids ages 10, 7, and 3). They all LOVE me and give me hugs, belly rubs, and ear scratches. I am an eager learner, and have already learned sit, gentle, and leave it. I am getting better with potty training too! I love being outside, playing with other dogs, chewing my nylabone and Kong, and snuggling on the couch. Sometimes I forget that I'm 70 pounds, and need reminders to be gentle with the smaller humans, but I'm working on it! A play date with a furry friend is a great outlet for me.I quietly sleep in my crate overnight AND when mom goes to work. When she's working from home, I closely supervise and chew on my toys or snooze. I am looking for a family who has room in their hearts and home for a big and fun snuggle bug!! Tiger is a wonderful big cuddle bug. He loves playing fetch, and rolling in the dirt and grass. Belly rubs and scratches are a must if you’re looking to be able to talk to him first! He loves to greet everyone with a friendly smile and always shows appreciation by licking and wagging his tail. He’ss extremely intelligent and knows many commands and tricks! Sit, spin, jump, play dead, time out and etc. He loves rewards whether that is belly scratches or a treat! He has a best-friend Brie, a Pomeranian- who he loves to cuddle and play with. Despite the size difference, he gets along with other playful and gentle dogs! He has a huge personality and a huge appetite! His favorite snacks are freeze dried fish and bone marrow. During his free time he enjoys throwing squeaky toys around and car rides to view the city or town. He loves exploring the many things life has to offer him and always does so happily anticipating a new adventure every day.

Story
Princess is an approximately 3 year old spayed female shepherd mix that desperately needs a home. Her owner was unable to continue to feed her, and a neighbor stepped up to help care for Princess but they are not able to care for her long-term. Princess is good with other dogs, and after having multiple litters of puppies before getting spayed, she is very maternal. She is friendly with strangers but will let you know when they come into the yard! Princess appears to be house-trained and is non-destructive when she comes inside the house at night to sleep. Once she knows where “home” is, she is not one to wander and sticks close to where her people are. Princess is fully vaccinated but is unfortunately heartworm positive.

Story
Carrots is an owner give up to our rescue. Below is the information her owner gave us initially. I have had Carrots for almost two years now. She has been the most amazing friend I could have asked for. She rarely barks and only lets out an occasional whine if she needs to go out or is wanting some attention. She’s a well behaved for a dog that lives her life with me in a small dorm and can only go out to play fetch or go for a walk when I’m not at class or work. She needs better. In general, she has been amazing for the hand she’s been dealt. I actually couldn’t be more grateful for how well she’s treated me as she’s grown to be near a full two years old!! I am having to part with her because she is still a puppy, and I’m a Junior in college struggling to work and commute on weekends when I have to, and give her the attention she deserves. She’s trained well. She sits on command, she can stay if you ask, she’s house trained, and she’s comfortable with her kennel if needed. She uses a harness for walks and does great. She was trained to walk on the left of you and she’s usually pretty good about staying focused. She has started the process of being an ESA certified dog but has not rec'd her second certification. Her previous owner said that she was around a child once and growled so we do not recommend her with small children. She has never been around cats so we cannot say whether she will or will not be okay arounds feline friends. She would make a great family member for an active family. If you would like to add Carrots to your home, please message us and we will send you an application. Carrots is being fostered in MS but included in your adoption fee is transport to a location near you by Rescue Riders Pet Transport, the most animal friendly transport on the road! The adoption fee includes her medical for a health certificate and transport to you. We look forward to hearing from you soon!
