Story
Meet Sydney, a serene and affectionate Belgian Malinois Shepherd mix with a heart as gentle as her gaze. Sydney is the definition of calm—nothing seems to faze her. She’s incredibly dog and cat friendly, and her low to medium energy level makes her a wonderful match for a peaceful home. Sydney is being fostered in a loving home in San Antonio, TX, where she gets along beautifully with her German Shepherd foster sister. Sydney walks beautifully on a leash and makes an excellent walking buddy for those who enjoy quiet neighborhood strolls. However, her true happy place is outside—she absolutely thrives in a yard where she can explore, relax, and enjoy nature. A home with outdoor space is a must for this sweet girl. Potty trained and polite, Sydney is well-mannered around the house. She's a little shy when meeting new people or visiting unfamiliar places, so she’ll need a patient and loving family willing to give her time to settle in. Once she trusts you, she’ll show you her soft, affectionate side and soak up every bit of attention you're willing to give. Sydney is also a cozy cuddle buddy—she loves curling up next to you on the couch for some quiet bonding time. While she’s not a fan of car rides, Sydney is happy living the homebody life. She’s currently looking for a foster or adopter in Central Texas who can offer her the calm, consistent environment she deserves. If you're looking for a gentle, loyal companion, Sydney is ready to make your heart her home. Senior German Shepherd Mix Seeking a Peaceful, and Loving HomeI am looking to re-home my 12-year-old male German Shepherd mix and am hoping to find a compassionate rescue or experienced adopter who can provide him with a calm, stable environment for his senior years. He has a very gentle, easygoing temperament and thrives in quiet settings. He spends much of his day resting and enjoys being close to his people—he is truly a wonderful cuddle companion. He still enjoys short, relaxed walks and maintains a steady, low-energy routine. He is great with children and has a kind, patient demeanor. He would do best in a home that can offer consistency, minimal chaos, and lots of affection. This is not an easy decision, and my priority is ensuring he is placed in a safe, loving home where he can be comfortable and well cared for.I am happy to provide additional information and answer any questions to ensure the best fit. Adoption fee is negotiable.Thank you.

We adopted Thor as a puppy and raised him alongside his adopted brother Lohki. He has been nothing but loving and energetic. He is around 4 years old and LOVES being outside, playing fetch and just laying in the grass. He loves going on walks and loves sleeping on his back! He is very alert and is great at keep an hear out for anything that might go bump in the night. He is great with people, strangers, and children of all ages! Thor is a great dog and just needs the proper attention and activity that we just are unable to give him. He is a low maintenance pup and we are looking for an active and loving home for him.

Story
Leggs is a resilient 32 pound, 8 month old pup working hard to become part of the world around him. While he’s naturally timid because he was feral the first three months of his life, he’s been bravely approaching new challenges and turned into the most amazing dog at home. Leggs is very intelligent and sensitive. He’s a bit cuddler and loves wrapping himself up in a blanket and hunkering down with his soft toys. He’s fantastic on a leash and incredibly gentle with myself, my children, and other dogs (including my super senior). He tries to play with cats, but also respects their space. He is crate trained, goes to the door when he needs to go potty, leash trained, and doing well on basic obedience and threshold training. He’s done well on trips to the park, long-leash walking on nature trails, and trips to pet-friendly stores such as Petco. His perfect home would be one that understands his initial need to decompress. After that, you can expect the most loyal and intuitive companion. Leggs is being fostered in Texas but can be transported out of state. You can apply directly for Leggs by clicking the Apply for Adoption button on the linked page. https://www.shelterluv.com/embed/animal/FODS-A-835 All our dogs come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org.
