Story
Meet Sydney, a serene and affectionate Belgian Malinois Shepherd mix with a heart as gentle as her gaze. Sydney is the definition of calm—nothing seems to faze her. She’s incredibly dog and cat friendly, and her low to medium energy level makes her a wonderful match for a peaceful home. Sydney is being fostered in a loving home in San Antonio, TX, where she gets along beautifully with her German Shepherd foster sister. Sydney walks beautifully on a leash and makes an excellent walking buddy for those who enjoy quiet neighborhood strolls. However, her true happy place is outside—she absolutely thrives in a yard where she can explore, relax, and enjoy nature. A home with outdoor space is a must for this sweet girl. Potty trained and polite, Sydney is well-mannered around the house. She's a little shy when meeting new people or visiting unfamiliar places, so she’ll need a patient and loving family willing to give her time to settle in. Once she trusts you, she’ll show you her soft, affectionate side and soak up every bit of attention you're willing to give. Sydney is also a cozy cuddle buddy—she loves curling up next to you on the couch for some quiet bonding time. While she’s not a fan of car rides, Sydney is happy living the homebody life. She’s currently looking for a foster or adopter in Central Texas who can offer her the calm, consistent environment she deserves. If you're looking for a gentle, loyal companion, Sydney is ready to make your heart her home. Story
Meet Bailey! Bailey is a loving, people-focused girl who thrives on human attention and connection. She is playful, energetic, and forms strong bonds with her people. Bailey loves interactive play, walks, and being involved in daily life, and she truly shines when she is the center of attention. She is affectionate, loyal, and eager to be with her humans. Bailey is being rehomed following an incident in which she attacked another dog in the household. This made it clear that she is not safe living with other dogs and must be in a strictly one-dog household. She does best when she does not have to share her space and can feel secure and supported. In a dog-free home, Bailey is able to relax and show her best qualities. She will thrive with an adopter who understands her needs, respects her boundaries, and is committed to keeping her as the only pet. In the right environment, Bailey is a devoted and loving companion.

Story
Overall, Sarge has been a pretty good dog for us. He is easy-going with spurts of playful energy and loves to play in the backyard with the kids. We picked him up from the animal shelter in August of last year. Right off the bat we could see that he has anxiety issues and is very fearful of new things. When we first turned on the television it really spooked him until he got used to it and realized it couldn't hurt him. We met with a trainer several times to address these behavior issues and were able to glean some helpful advice. He still has anxiety, and it appears the way he is dealing with it is becoming unsafe. He is now acting aggressive towards people that he used to be fine around. We noticed that this was only in our house, as he seemed fine around others outside of the home. As time goes on, however, it looks like he is beginning to favor me and exclude others. This is not ideal for my family situation, and I am hoping to find a home for him that will better suit his needs.

We have had her since she was 8 weeks old. Very active breed and we don't have the time we used to have with her since we have a child now and will be moving soon. Loves car rides, swimming and playing fetch. NOT cat or chicken friendly!!! Recommend not to leave food on the counter.
