Transport available to your are in the northeast and Great Lakes areas. We use rescue riders for all our pet transport needs because they are the best. Meet Maisie - an adorable young small (30lbs) female dog with a heartwarming personality. Maisie is an intelligent, friendly, affectionate, and loyal dog who loves to play, but is also a couch potato and loves her cuddles and kisses. She is athletic and enjoys long walks and adventures, and she's always up for trying new things. Maisie gets along very good with other dogs and loves to play with them. A fenced yard is important. She is young, so will require a patient and understanding owner who is willing to train her and give her the time and attention that she needs. She knows sit, is house trained and crate trained. She has a recessed vulva that has been operated on and will require medication which she is doing very well with (it is to keep her from incontinence). When she gets older she may need a diaper if the meds no longer assist her. Not a big deal, the diapers are adorable and are like an outfit If you're looking for a brave and loving companion, Maisie is the one for you! Apply at petpath.org

Story
Meet Juju (Juniper)! She is a sweet mixed breed lady who came to us from Animal Rescue Corps where she was rescued from a dog hoarding situation. She is guessed to have been born around 2015/2016 and weighs 11 lbs. Despite her past, she is very friendly and well-adjusted and even has done spectacular with her potty training. Her favorite thing to do is cuddle and sleep, especially with her human foster brother. She came to us with a horrible skin infection and missing a lot of hair, but slowly her skin is cleared up and her hair is slowly growing in. She does have one eye that doesn't produce enough tears (dry-eye) and she will need eye medication for life in that eye in the form of prescription drops and OTC lubricating gel. Very easy to manage. Juju was spayed, had a dental with extractions, and also had some mammary masses removed. The masses were carcinoma, but they were completely removed with clear margins and a low chance of recurrence. We would like to see her adopted with Marley who is another dog she came with from the same hoarding situation. They really do spend all their time together and just love each other. They both like to climb like little mountain goats- so their new home should be one that allows dogs on furniture. Juju's adoption donation of $500 (for the pair) helps cover the cost of her medical care. Application, reference checks, and home visit required. Adopters must live 1.5 hours driving distance from Romeoville, IL. For more information on adopting, please email us at info@perfectpooches.org. If you are interested in adopting, please complete an adoption application, which can be found on our website at www.perfectpooches.org under the Adoption Process tab. All dogs are spayed/neutered, current on vaccines, heartworm tested (age appropriate), fecal tested and/or dewormed, and microchipped.
