Story
Chyna the Chihuahua mix is looking for a family to call her own! This 10 pound, 7 year old, cutie who will thrive in a quieter home without small children. She coexists well with other small dogs and would be fine with a dog buddy in her future home! She's working on trusting strangers and generally getting used to her new surroundings. She has already started seeking out attention more and more from her foster family, and following her foster mom around! She settles in her crate after some initial resistance, and she's also doing well with potty training so far! If you are ready to let Chyna roll in the grass on a nice day, give her some booty scratches, and tell her she's a good girl, please let us know by submitting an application for this sweet girl! Chyna's adoption fee is $350.

Story
Meet Naketa, an adorable one-year-old female Chihuahua/Pomeranian mix with a personality full of charm. Though she may be shy at first, Naketa quickly warms up to become a friendly, playful, and affectionate companion. Initially hesitant around her foster's two large dogs, she now enjoys playing and napping with them, and she also loves playing chase with her foster mom's small pup. Naketa has shown excellent progress with training. She seems to have already been potty trained and goes to the door when she needs to go out. She walks well on a leash and delights in rolling in the grass. Although she has a tendency to dash out the door, her foster is working on this, and Naketa is crate trained, responding to "kennel" to settle in her crate where she sleeps overnight and stays when her foster is away. Naketa's favorite activities include playing with toys and chew bones, going for walks, and taking naps with her foster family. She has a habit of gathering all the dog toys from the bin and carrying them around the house. Naketa is ready to bring her joyful spirit and loving nature to her forever home. For more information, email info@ahconnects.org or call us at 847-697-2880 x: 0, and the staff will be happy to help you. Story
Meet Barry, a charming 3.8-pound Chihuahua with a heart full of love. Barry is looking for a forever home with kids aged 16 and older. He thrives in a quieter environment and would do best with an experienced dog owner who understands his needs. Barry is a friendly little guy who gets along well with other appropriate dogs. However, he can be a bit nervous, so a calm and patient home will help him feel secure and happy. Barry has been diagnosed with Ear Margin Vasculitis, a condition that affects the edges of his ears. To manage this, Barry needs to stay on Pentoxifylline indefinitely. Additionally, it's recommended that he takes a Vitamin E supplement (400 IU) and an Essential Fatty Acid supplement to support his overall health. Barry's special needs mean he requires a bit of extra care, but the love and companionship he offers in return are immeasurable. If you have the experience and environment to give Barry the home he deserves, he will be a loyal and loving addition to your family. If you think you can provide Barry with the loving and understanding home he needs, please reach out to us to learn more about this sweet little dog. Barry is ready to bring joy and companionship to the right family! For more information, email northaurora@ahconnects.org or call us at 847-697-2880 x: 80, and the staff will be happy to help you.
