Story
Meet Cottonball — a gentle, timid, and incredibly sweet senior girl who just wants a quiet, loving home. Cottonball is a soft‑hearted, friendly Feist mix who warms up beautifully once she feels safe. She’s calm, easygoing, and enjoys being near her people. She’s housebroken but may have occasional accidents, especially during transitions or when she’s nervous. What Cottonball is like: Timid at first, but very friendly Sweet, gentle temperament Housebroken (occasional accidents) No known medical issues Spayed Low‑maintenance senior Cottonball would do best in a calm home with someone who appreciates a quiet companion. She’s the kind of dog who just wants a soft bed, a gentle voice, and someone who will love her for the rest of her years. Why she needs a new home: Her family moved into a rental that does not allow pets, and they want her to be safe and cared for.

Story
Hi, I'm Piper Jones! People tell me that my fur is a beautiful blue color. It's funny, my foster family thinks that my coat should be red because I'm a little spicy! I'm a 3 year old chihuahua/terrier mix and I originally lived in a home with 50 other dogs, so I didn't get much attention. I like attention from people and I bond strongly with those who love on me. I especially like ladies and it takes me a little longer to warm up to men. I would prefer a home without young children. I get along well with cats, and dogs that are my size or larger. I have lots of energy and love to run around the yard. I want to stay with my friend Mystic because we love to play and have more confidence when we're together.  Learn more about our adoption process below and fill out an adoption application to take the first step in giving Piper Jones the home she deserves! Home Visit. If all the steps above are completed satisfactorily, we will set up a home visit where you can meet the pet you are interested in again and the pet can meet other pets in the family. We will try to send the foster parent so you can learn more about how the pet is in a home environment. Complete Adoption. If all feel it is a good match, we will schedule the adoption at MTP or an off-site location. The applicant will need to complete the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee. Our adoption fee is $250 for adult dogs. ##2476417##

Story
If I say so myself, I am a beautiful 3 year old chihuahua mix. I like people, am friendly with other dogs and cats too (although if they run, I do like to chase them. Since most kitties are almost as big as me, I'm not sure what I would do if I caught up to one!) I have been enjoying my play dates at Velvet Snout with other dogs, and it helps me to burn off some energy. I really would like a yard where I can run around and chase the squirrels. I want to stay with my friend Piper Jones, because we love to play and I have a lot more confidence when I'm with her.  My foster family says I have nice house manners! I started out in life in a hoarding situation with about 50 other dogs, so there wasn't much chance for me to get individual attention. I love it now! It takes me awhile to warm up particularly with men, but I will eventually learn to trust!  Come meet me at a Meet the Pets event or complete an adoption application!! Story
Friendly, playful, Originally from a hoarding case. Max was adopted and returned 24 hours later. Adopter claimed that Max had multiple seizures in the 24 hours that she had him. The seizures reportedly happened after eating two different grain free dog foods. Max has been monitored by shelter staff for the last month and no seizures have been seen. We recommend keeping Max on a regular dog food and avoiding grain-free diets as a precaution. If seizures happen in the future, Max will need to be evaluated by a veterinarian and would most likely be placed on daily medication to prevent seizures. May 22, 2026, 9:43 pm
