Story
We rescued Penny approximately 8 months ago. The vet puts her around 7 years old. This sweet little girl was found wandering around Lake Worth. She's affectionate, super snuggly, loves to follow you around, go for walks, and roll on her back to play with you. She gets along with the kids, cats and other dogs. She's never bitten and responds fairly well to commands. We've done our best to potty train but she still has the occasional accident. Being able to be outside with her for every potty break is a must. When we rescued her, the vet said she has worn down teeth - likely due to being crated too often or too long in her previous home or homes. I have tried saving for her dental work, yet through a series of unfortunate events, I can't scrape together enough money to help her. Now we're displaced from our home and it's become painfully clear she needs more stability and care than I'm able to offer her right now.

We rescued Penny approximately 8 months ago. The vet puts her around 7 years old. This sweet little girl was found wandering around Lake Worth. I can be shy and a little timid however once the ice is broken I am the best cuddle buddy ever. I am house trained and keep barking to a minimum . Jett is 9 years old. He has lived inside for his entire life with another dog who is 3 years older than him. He is very loving and also likes to spend time resting by himself. Shautzee is a 13-year-old black Chiweenie who is spayed and up to date on all vaccinations. She has been a loving companion and an important part of my family for many years. She is a senior dog looking for a quiet, loving home where she can spend her golden years surrounded by care and affection. Shautzee enjoys being around people and deserves a stable environment where she can feel safe and loved. This has been an extremely difficult decision. Due to unexpected housing issues and personal circumstances, I am no longer able to keep her. My landlord has given me a very short timeframe to rehome her, and I want to make sure she finds the best home possible. I am hoping to find someone kind and patient who will give Shautzee the love, comfort, and care she deserves.

This sweet pup has been roaming the neighborhood since the end of April. I noticed later on that she is pregnant. I’ve been feeding her. I’ve posted on my neighborhood app; took her to the vet to scan for a chip and even had the county come out but they can’t guarantee a pick up for her. I have 4 other dogs and just can’t handle another dog with that addition of puppies. She’s a really good dog. Good demeanor. I haven’t heard her bark either.

Hi, I'm Piper Jones! People tell me that my fur is a beautiful blue color. It's funny, my foster family thinks that my coat should be red because I'm a little spicy! I'm a 3 year old chihuahua/terrier mix and I originally lived in a home with 50 other dogs, so I didn't get much attention. I like attention from people and I bond strongly with those who love on me. I especially like ladies and it takes me a little longer to warm up to men. I would prefer a home without young children. I get along well with cats, and dogs that are my size or larger. I have lots of energy and love to run around the yard. If I say so myself, I am a beautiful 3 year old chihuahua mix. I like people, am friendly with other dogs and cats too (although if they run, I do like to chase them. Since most kitties are almost as big as me, I'm not sure what I would do if I caught up to one!) I have been enjoying my play dates at Velvet Snout with other dogs, and it helps me to burn off some energy. I really would like a yard where I can run around and chase the squirrels. I want to stay with my friend Piper Jones, because we love to play and I have a lot more confidence when I'm with her.  My foster family says I have nice house manners! I started out in life in a hoarding situation with about 50 other dogs, so there wasn't much chance for me to get individual attention. I love it now! This sweet Chihuahua/Shih Tzu mix is a champion cuddler who loves nothing more than snuggling up beside his favorite person. Whether he's napping with his little paw resting against your arm or curled up touching your leg, Peanut always likes to stay connected to the people he loves. Don't let his calm personality fool you—Peanut still has plenty of puppy fun in him! He loves spending time outdoors, proudly keeping watch for those "dangerous" squirrels and racing around the yard with the other foster dogs during his joyful zoomie sessions. Once playtime is over, he's perfectly content settling in for ear scratches, belly rubs, and another cozy cuddle. Peanut is a very laid-back little guy who rarely barks and has an easygoing personality that makes him a wonderful companion. He's doing great with potty training and confidently uses a doggy door, though, like any young puppy, he may still have an occasional accident as he continues learning. He's also working on crate training and happily eats his meals in his crate, even though he'd much rather spend the night snuggled up with his people—or curled up back-to-back with his beloved brother, Snoopy. This handsome boy has a healthy appetite and is highly treat-motivated, making future training fun and rewarding. He enjoys the company of other small dogs but can be a little unsure around larger ones. Peanut has not yet been tested with cats or children. He tolerated bath time like a champ, although swimming pools definitely aren't his idea of fun!
