I have a cute routine of carrying a chew toy in my mouth when I’m getting ready for walks. I enjoy spending time outside soaking up the sun and doing my lightning-fast zoomies. After a fun outing, I’m the perfect co-pilot who curls up and naps in the car. I’m a bit timid at first but eager to connect with my people. I’ve thrived in a home environment and have done well living with other dogs, though I do appreciate breaks from them sometimes. I’m loyal, intelligent, and affectionate—just the right companion for active yet cozy days. And make sure to scroll down past my bio to see all the AMAZING videos my foster mom has posted! You can really see how much I thrive in a home, and maybe it’ll help you see how I could be in your home and heart! HOW AM I WITH DOGS: Good with dogs with proper introductions. I’ve lived with multiple dogs and did great, but I may need patience and breaks from them occasionally. HOW AM I WITH CATS: I am a bit too interested in cats and would do best in a home without feline friends. HOW AM I WITH KIDS: Unknown. I KNOW THE FOLLOWING COMMANDS: Sit, stay, come. ABOUT THIS ANIMAL: Meet Tammy, the Farm's resident low rider! Don’t let that fool you though – Tammy makes up for her small size with a big personality. Around the Farm, she’s well-known for her unique appearance and goofball antics. Since having her dental she is often found sticking out her tongue at staff members – even while she sleeps! When she’s not being a bit silly, Tammy is such a sweetheart. Curious and smart, she loves cuddling and giving kisses, but also exploring and running around, especially if it means she gets to chase off squirrels (aka Tammy’s nemeses). Tammy also loves going on walks but wants to be very clear that she’s the one walking you, and she will judge you if you try to interrupt her sniffing. In a home, Tammy thinks she rules the roost (which, of course, she does) and will call dibs on any comfy piece of furniture. She’s done well with kids as young as 9, but would do best in a home with no other pets. Tammy would probably be happiest in a home where she’s the only pet, and can be treated like the princess she is! She hasn’t met other dogs in her foster home yet. KNOWN WITH CATS: Butterscotch hasn’t been introduced to cats, so we’re still waiting to learn what she thinks of feline friends. KNOWN WITH KIDS: Butterscotch loves spending time with the kids in her foster home, ages 6 and 15! Sometimes her excitement gets her feet bouncing, so she’s practicing keeping all four paws on the floor when her human playmates arrive. KNOWN COMMANDS: “Come” and “sit” are on the puppy class schedule! Butterscotch is eager to please and happily accepts payment in treats. Located in Tennessee but can be transported to you through Rescue Riders. The adoption fee covers the transport fee. Fig is a bit more of the shy one of her litter. She is very friendly and loves to chill with some attention. She gets along with other dogs but too many can be overwhelming to her. She has had no issues with kids or strangers. She is learning to use a dog door but will need puppy training. She does well in a crate so that might help. She is ready for her forever family.
