Story
https://foha.org/pet/milo2024/ ABOUT THIS ANIMAL: Hi, I’m Milo (pronounced MEE-LO)—a small dog with a big heart! I’m a sweet, speedy little guy who loves both playful adventures and peaceful moments. I have a cute routine of carrying a chew toy in my mouth when I’m getting ready for walks. I enjoy spending time outside soaking up the sun and doing my lightning-fast zoomies. After a fun outing, I’m the perfect co-pilot who curls up and naps in the car. I’m a bit timid at first but eager to connect with my people. I’ve thrived in a home environment and have done well living with other dogs, though I do appreciate breaks from them sometimes. I’m loyal, intelligent, and affectionate—just the right companion for active yet cozy days. And make sure to scroll down past my bio to see all the AMAZING videos my foster mom has posted! You can really see how much I thrive in a home, and maybe it’ll help you see how I could be in your home and heart! HOW AM I WITH DOGS: Good with dogs with proper introductions. I’ve lived with multiple dogs and did great, but I may need patience and breaks from them occasionally. HOW AM I WITH CATS: I am a bit too interested in cats and would do best in a home without feline friends. HOW AM I WITH KIDS: Unknown. I KNOW THE FOLLOWING COMMANDS: Sit, stay, come. MY HOUSEBREAKING AND/OR CRATING: I have good house manners! THINGS I LIKE: Chew toys, sunny yard time, car rides, cuddling, zoomies. THINGS I DISLIKE: Storms, sudden dog encounters in public places. FOHA ADOPTION POLICIES AND PROCESS – https://foha.org/pet-adoption/adoption-policies/ ADOPTION FEE INCLUDES: Spay/neuter, vaccines (rabies, distemper & Bordetella), 1-month access to Petcademy for training and behavior support, slip lead leash, 1 bag starter food, 1 month flea/tick & heartworm preventatives, diagnostic testing, and additional medical procedures as recommended by our vet. My adoption fee has been covered by a generous donor!!

Story
IF YOU ARE VIEWING THIS LISTING ON PETFINDER OR ADOPT-A-PET, please visit: Caninesandkittiesrescue.org to access adoption requirements, more information and pictures. Meet Trudy! She's about 6 years old and weighs around 30 pounds. We believe he looks like a Shiba Inu/Chihuahua - JUST A GUESS. Are you looking for a spunky girl who will keep you on your toes? Trudy is your girl! She loves her walks and she loves to play fetch. Trudy is house & crate trained (doesn't need the crate, but will go in) and she’s past the puppy destructive stage. If you have a cat, pass on this girl. As for other dogs, I think she’d prefer to be an only dog because she wants ALL of your attention. Trudy is very smart and highly trainable, as long as you provide the right motivation. Trudy’s need for attention is sometimes displayed in bossy ways (jumping on you) so she would do best in a home with an adopter who is experienced and willing to give boundaries and do training. Another requirement is that there are no young children in the home. Trudy’s left ear is damaged and permanently folded forward. I think it gives her character and I bet there’s a story there…if only she could talk. Thankfully it doesn’t seem to bother her when you touch it. Trudy is always ready for the next adventure. No matter if it’s a walk, a game of fetch or a ride in the car - she’s in! If you think Trudy would be a good fit for your home/life, apply for her today!!! Trudy is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and is microchipped. The Adoption Fee is $375.00. ***You must be at least 25 years of age to adopt from CKRescue*** ***Please note that our first step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check. Vetting of current and past pets is very important to us, thus we will be speaking with the vet(s) listed on your application to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives and examined annually by your vet.*** Our organization cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and/or the general appearance of the animal. **Please visit www.caninesandkittiesrescue.org to complete our non-binding application.**

Story
A 2-year-old, 36-pound mix of Feist and Terrier, Lulu came to us from a hoarding situation. She's a lovely dog with a sweet personality who, upon first meeting can be shy, but will warm up quickly. She loves being stroked and loved; in fact, she's very affectionate. We think she's grateful that we brought her into rescue with us. She's been treated for heartworm and is ready to go home with you! How about it? Show her what a real home is like! (posted 12/29/25, ME) NO CATS, PLEASE. Adoption Fee: $395.00-- covers microchip, worming, all vaccines, monthly heart worm preventative, monthly tick/flea preventative, spaying/neutering, health certificate, and complete medical records. Transport Fee: $160.00-- We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip. We make every effort to arrive with healthy and minimally stressed dogs. **It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. **March 16, 2026, 12:38 am

To learn more about Ralphie, please get in touch with dogs@lostdogrescue.org. Ralphie will be at one of our adoption events this weekend! Visit our event page (https://www.lostdogrescue.org/events/) to see which one—event listings are usually updated on Fridays with attending dogs. If you want a four-legged best friend who will stick to you like peanut butter on toast, Ralphie is ready to be your main squeeze! This 2-year-old feist mix is the definition of a “Velcro dog,” happiest when he’s right by your side—whether you’re answering emails, whipping up dinner, or settling in for a cozy night on the couch. Wherever you go, Ralphie is all in, bringing his heart (and a wagging tail) along for the ride. Once Ralphie feels at home, his personality shines brighter than a perfect sunny afternoon. He’s equal parts cuddle bug and action star, zooming through life with enthusiasm and then happily melting into you for belly rubs (fair warning: those are non-negotiable!). With treats in hand, you’ve got his full attention—this clever pup is eager to learn, loves a good challenge, and is always ready to show off his skills. He also enjoys meeting other dogs and is always up for a playful romp with new canine friends. True to his feist roots, Ralphie is a spirited adventurer who would love a human sidekick for hikes, runs, or backyard squirrel patrol missions. He’s got the heart of an explorer and the loyalty of a lifelong teammate, making him the perfect companion for someone who wants both fun and affection. If you’re ready for a devoted buddy who will love you to the moon and back, Ralphie is ready to be your happily ever after!

Story
Lola has had 2 homes in her 7 yr life, both were with retired ladies and both times she had to be rehomed after they were no longer able to keep her in their homes. She is adjusting to being in a foster home again and we are hoping her next home can be her last. She is 10 lbs and a leggy girl. Good with dogs and cats and mature kids should be fine, not sure we would recommend her for a home with young kids. She leash walks fine and has lived in an apartment but we are sure she would love a fenced in yard as well. Located in Warrenton, VA
