Story
PLEASE NOTE: This dog is courtesy posted for another individual or Rescue. Different policies and fees may apply.   Bonded pair dumped...who's looking for a bonded pair of sweet dogs?  Nova and her brother Reggie came to the boarding facility by their owner, and he never came back for them. We are hoping to have them adopted together, as they clearly love each other, but with the right home maybe separated.....These 2 are beyond AMAZING.... we had the pleasure of giving them a break living in a kennel since Jan 2024.  We are guessing Nova is around 1.5-2.5 years old, she is very friendly, loves to play, favorite thing to do is go in the water and play with her brother Reggie. She walks great on the leash. Rides great in the car. We do not know how she is with cats.  Located in Phoenix, AZ If you are interested in meeting this dog, please fill out either the Foster or Adopt application below  Adopt: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FPP/Dog   Foster: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/foster/FPP/Dog    May 3, 2024, 5:43 pm

Story
Hailey has been with us since Feb 2023. A post of her, blew up on social media after someone came across the property. She had a large, open, grapefruit-sized mass hanging from her body that wasn't being treated! She was on a farm in rural California. Our founder just happened to be driving through CA to transport an adopted dog. She arrived at the property, offered to take her, and they said yes! They also gave us her daughter who had a mass on her mouth... The mass on Hailey was an aggressive form of cancer. After surgery and treatment, she has been in remission since July of '23! She's the sweetest girl you will ever meet. Good with dogs, cats, and people! She's affectionate and active. Loves walks, hikes, and even trotting next to a bike! Interested in Hailey? Story
Jessie was picked up as a stray so we don't have any background information on her. She looks a lot like a flatcoated retriever and acts a lot like one. She is very athletic, loves to runs and play and is very good with other dogs as long as they are not too overbearing with her. She will submit to them and then defend herself if pushed too far, not inappropriately, she just draws a line for them as to where is too much. She is very sweet with people and would likely make a very good dog for older children that are big enough to handle all her energy. She loves her treats and belly rubs. Not sure how she would be with cats, I am sure she would chase them if they ran, that would be an awesome game for her. PLEASE e-mail (do not call) mike@caaronline.org for more information and to set up an appointment to adopt. Do not e-mail us with a request to call you, if you have a question, please ask in the e-mail.   All dogs are adopted on a first come - first served basis. Story
Odin I'm a super active fun-loving guy who loves to play, run around, and go on adventures! I like to go for daily walks, hikes, bike rides, or runs! I really enjoy playing in water and hope my new family has a pool or takes trips to the lake! Did I mention I love car rides and paddleboarding! I can be a little nervous around new people and dogs, so an adult only, dog savvy family would be my ideal home. I'm super smart and am treat motivated, so training will be fun! All it takes is a little patience and love to get me to warm up and once I do, I know that I am worth it! If you think we could be a great match, please fill out an adoption application to meet me! •Saving Paws recommends I live with adults only. •Saving Paws says I am a must meet with other dogs. •Saving Paws thinks I am a daily workout, meaning I need lots of exercise. •Saving Paws says I can NOT live with cats. If you can give Odin an indoor forever home, please fill out our online application on our website at http://www.savingpawsrescueaz.com/adoption-form/ We will only schedule meet and greets with an approved application. We are an all-volunteer organization. It may take a couple of days to process an application and complete reference checks. Thank you for your interest in saving the life of a dog.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. LEONARDO is available! Leonardo is a 2-and-1/2-year-old neutered male Golden Doodle.  He is a big boy at 86 lbs and needs to shed some more weight with the green bean diet. Leonardo is friendly, loves to play and needs lots of exercise.  He gets hyper excited and needs training to curb his enthusiasm and jumping. He has been fostered with other dogs, but he may do best in a home with no other dogs, as he can be very "mouthy" and intimidating. While he has never lived with children he has been around kids ages 9 to 15.  He knows sit, stay, down, come but sometimes chooses not to listen to come.  He will jump on people so before opening the door if you tell him "go get a toy" he will run to find a toy rather than jump. He needs more training on the leash as he pulls.  Leonardo is afraid of fireworks and loud noises and likes to be next to someone if that happens. He would benefit from additional basic training with proper benevolent leadership, structure, and socialization. All potential fosters and adopters must complete an application, pay the $25.00 application fee and have a home visit before being considered for any dog.  If you reside in Arizona and are interested in adopting a dog like this from Arizona Golden Rescue, we recommend that you visit our website and complete the Online Adoption Application to begin the process.    http://arizonagoldenrescue.rescuegroups.org/info/adoption  WE DO NOT ADOPT OUTSIDE OF THE STATE OF ARIZONA. Once we receive your application and application fee, a home visit will be scheduled. Once your home visit is approved, you will be placed on our waiting list. (Please be aware that your application cannot be processed until the application fee is paid.) Our sole purpose is to find the perfect home for the dog as our dogs always come first.        Because we have new rescues coming in all the time, if the Golden that is the right dog for you is not available at this time it will probably come into Rescue and you would be notified of the availability.     Waiting times vary depending upon how specific your preferences are. The more you restrict the factors involved in choosing a dog – age, sex, coat color, etc. – the longer the wait may be before we find the perfect dog for you.  Please note: it is the policy of AGR not to place a dog less than 3 years of age with a family that has children less than 3 years of age.  If you have specific questions about our adoption process, please go to this link at our website.   https://arizonagoldenrescue.rescuegroups.org/info/display?PageID=20779  Arizona Golden Rescue is organized as an all-volunteer, non-profit, 501 (c) (3) corporation. We are a charitable organization whose mission is to rescue displaced Golden Retrievers and mostly Golden mixes that have been abused, abandoned, neglected or unwanted and find new, loving, permanent homes for them. Rescued dogs are given a complete veterinary exam and their vaccines are updated; they are also micro-chipped, spayed or neutered, and tested for valley fever and heartworm. AGR provides emotional and medical rehabilitation and will pay for medications and for necessary surgeries. Through education at public appearances, AGR seeks to educate the public about the Golden Retriever breed and about responsible dog ownership, in order to help reduce the unwanted dog population.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 5, 2024, 1:12 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. BODHI is available! Bodhi is a neutered Golden Doodle approximately 3-and-1/2-years old.  He is tall, weighs 67#, energetic strong, friendly and likes to go on daily walks or go hiking. He needs training with a leash though. Bodhi had surgery in late 2023 for a mast cell tumor, is doing well, has had one ultrasound wellness follow-up and was pronounced clear, with a final follow-up scheduled for 5/17/24. He has been around small children, but because of his size and strength older children would be recommended.  He has been around other dogs, but not cats; he is very relaxed and "chill" with other dogs.  His foster mom thinks he would be a good candidate for a therapy dog. All potential fosters and adopters must complete an application, pay the $25.00 application fee and have a home visit before being considered for any dog.  If you reside in Arizona and are interested in adopting a dog like Bodhi from Arizona Golden Rescue, we recommend that you visit our website and complete the Online Adoption Application to begin the process.    http://arizonagoldenrescue.rescuegroups.org/info/adoption  WE DO NOT ADOPT OUTSIDE OF THE STATE OF ARIZONA.
