Story
Kida is a wonderful, smart, fun spirited girl that knows lots of commands. I am fostering for a family that cannot keep her due to a new baby in the house. She was their only baby for over two years, so I do believe that the issue was jealousy. I have had her for over a week, and while very protective of me when first meeting new people, once she has a few minutes to settle down, she loves the attention and petting from everyone. She gets along fine with older children, loves to play hide n’ seek. She needs to be any only dog, as she only wants to play with her humans. I absolutely love her, but cannot keep her as I am out of town for. Long periods of time especially in the summer.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. JAX is  available! Jax is a  golden mix, between and 6 & 7 years old, weighing about 65#. Our best guess is he has some Aussie in him. He was a stray surrendered to us from another rescue that was full and asked us to find him a good home.  Jax makes you smile when you look at him.  He is crate trained and animated. Jax wags his tail and looks at you with those chocolate eyes and smiles. He has many good qualities like being affectionate, house trained, walking well on a leash, a happy disposition and, friendly to the people he knows.  He is reactive to other dogs, and therefore he will require an only dog home, no cats please. AGR is willing to pay for appropriate basic obedience training with reasonable costs if pre-approved (list of vendors provided to adopter). If you can’t commit to long-term, YOU can foster Jax or another dog waiting for a long-term home; ASK US HOW.  All potential fosters and adopters must complete an application, pay the $25.00 application fee and have a home visit before being considered for any dog.     If you reside in Arizona and are interested in adopting a dog like this from Arizona Golden Rescue, we recommend that you visit our website and complete the Online Adoption Application to begin the process.   http://arizonagoldenrescue.rescuegroups.org/info/adoption  WE DO NOT ADOPT OUTSIDE OF THE STATE OF ARIZONA. Once we receive your application and  application fee, a home visit will be scheduled. Once your home visit is approved, you will be placed on our waiting list. (Please be aware that your application cannot be processed until the application fee is paid.) Our sole purpose is to find the perfect home for the dog as our dogs always come first.       Because we have new rescues coming in all the time, if the Golden that is the right dog for you is not available at this time it will probably come into Rescue and you would be notified of the availability.    Waiting times vary depending upon how specific your preferences are. The more you restrict the factors involved in choosing a dog – age, sex, coat color, etc. – the longer the wait may be before we find the perfect dog for you.  Please note: it is the policy of AGR not to place a dog less than 3 years of age with a family that has children less than 3 years of age.  If you have specific questions about our adoption process, please go to this link at our website.   https://arizonagoldenrescue.rescuegroups.org/info/display?PageID=20779  Arizona Golden Rescue is organized as an all-volunteer, non-profit, 501 (c) (3) corporation. We are a charitable organization whose mission is to rescue displaced Golden Retrievers and mostly Golden mixes that have been abused, abandoned, neglected or unwanted and find new, loving, permanent homes for them. Rescued dogs are given a complete veterinary exam and their vaccines are updated; they are also micro-chipped, spayed or neutered, and tested for valley fever and heartworm. AGR provides emotional and medical rehabilitation and will pay for medications and for necessary surgeries. Through education at public appearances, AGR seeks to educate the public about the Golden Retriever breed and about responsible dog ownership, in order to help reduce the unwanted dog population.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 28, 2023, 2:34 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. ARCHIE is available! Archie is a very handsome, intact 3-year-old male Golden/Samoyed mix.  It doesn't show well in the photos, but there is a layer of gold on his coat that is very striking.  He was brought here from Japan and his owner has to return for health reasons - she cannot take him.  Archie has been loved and well-cared for his whole life. He is house-trained and lived with a cat at one point. He is friendly with both dogs and children he meets on a walk but has not lived with them.  Archie also has had some professional in-home training.  Once he is settled in his new home, Archie will be neutered by one of our AGR vets.
