If you are looking for a big dog that hates to leave the house....ie no walks needed. Who is gentle, quiet and housetrained....and could easily be an only dog look no further....Chuck is your guy! He loves to be at home with his people and is fine being an only dog! He loves to walk around a yard and rest in the sun! He is fine at home and not destructive! He just would love a quiet household where he can watch TV, lay by his people and have a few snacks! Low energy is his favorite mode. He will jump around to great you in the am and when you come home but otherwise he is a quiet and sweet guy.  Chuck would prefer to never go for a walk! His home is his castle and as a guy who was without a home for 5 long years his goal is to never leave his home:) He loves soft dog beds, cheese, quiet people and being at home!  Chuck does need a home with a securely fenced yard.  If you have questions about Chuck his foster would be happy to talk with you:) Mary 602 568 5219 please feel free to call after 5 or on the weekends or texting is great too! Chuck has been neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. His adoption fee of $350 helps offset the cost of medical expenses. Story
Howdy! My name is Loki. I am around 8 years old and am a sweet and playful boy. I was found in an abandoned home after my person left me behind. The person who found me got information from the neighbors,  so my age is approximate. My teeth are nice and white so we think I am younger than the age listed. Loki is my real name, and I know it. I know basic commands and listen very well. I walk very well on a leash with a prong collar. Otherwise, I just want to explore like crazy! I love to play fetch and catch my ball. I really love my ball! I also really love to be with my person, and the attention I get from my person. I get along with other dogs but so far I don't play with them too much. If they run in the yard I will too. I am a good boy who will wait nicely for my human to come home. Please, can you give me a furever home? I will make you a great companion. PS... I have never gone potty in the house, but I would love a doggie door, or someone that is home a lot. Loki is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. His adoption fee of $200 helps offset the rescue's medical expenses. If you live in the Phoenix metro area and think he could be the right fit for you, please complete an adoption application*: https://www.helpadogsmile.org/adoption-application/ *Please note that the application is not a commitment to adopt–it is a tool used to help determine if a dog and applicant would make a good match. Story
Dylan is 7 1/2 months old. He is a Puppy so he is easily excitable (but calms down after initial meeting). He loves to play with other dogs his size (and the smaller ones too) but he doesnt understand the size difference so he would have to be supervised with them. His ideal dream home would include 1 to 2 dogs 1-2 yrs old that he can run around in a yard with and play. He is still at that chewing puppy stage but a chew toy will keep him from chewing anything else. He is a very good boy and i am devastated I have to find him another home. He is one of our other dogs (Dymond) puppies and sadly she is not with us anymore. I live in a mobil home so there is no yard no space inside for him to play and no yard for him to run. It;s not fair for me to be selfish and keep him all cooped up. Thank you for considering Dylan to be part of your family. He is very loving and doesnt bark excessively.

Story
Maisie is about a year old, playful Lab mix.   She is very high energy and still needs additional training.  The current foster works with her consistently every day for about 30 minutes and she is making good progress in learning manners and calming techniques.  Maisie likes to play with toys and balls and likes water.  She plays well with most dogs and enjoys going for walks to get her energy out.   Maisie is crate trained and house broken and enjoys being around her people.  She is sweet and loving and wants lots of attention.  We recommend her forever home have older children or no children as Maisie is very active and still jumps.  If you would like to meet Maisie, please complete a Community Paws application (https://www.communitypaws.org/adoption-application)February 23, 2025, 8:57 pm

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.SHADOW is available!  Shadow is a gorgeous 1-year-old male Golden/Flat Coat Retriever mix. He is not yet neutered, but AGR will handle that expense when an adoptive home is identified. Shadow is bilingual and understands both Spanish and English commands, as well as hand signals. He is described as friendly, happy, affectionate, with lots of energy. Shadow has lived his life so far always outside; so, he needs house training, leash training, and training with how to enter/exit vehicles. He has lived with small dogs, never been around cats, and is friendly with kids.  Shadow does jump so he could knock over small children or frail elderly adults. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. INDI is available! Meet the "NEW and IMPROVED" Indi, a 4-1/2-year-old spayed female Golden Doodle. She has been through numerous recent sessions with an animal behaviorist and made great improvements in her demeanor with other dogs! She can now meet other dogs and remain neutral, calm and relaxed with the right energy.  Indi is very manageable on a leash and is happy, sweet and very well behaved. She can be placed with a calm, good-natured dog, but she does not necessarily need a canine companion - she loves people so much! Indi is still taking fluoxetine and may have to be on it long term, but we don't know at this point. Once Indi is in her new home, the adopters will be offered  several paid sessions with the behaviorist to help her adjust to her new home. If you are interested in adopting this dog or any other available AGR dogs, and want to know more about the process, please click here.  Note:  WE DO NOT ADOPT OUTSIDE OF THE STATE OF ARIZONA.
