Story
Meet Wrigley! Adoption fee $350 Wrigley is a total cuddle bug. He likes to relax at your feet or likes to curl up in your lap. He is great with kids and other dogs. He can be a little shy/scared at first, but once he warms up, you will get endless love from him. Typically it can take 2-3 days before he makes himself at home and then you will never not get a bear hug from him. He enjoys playing with toys and absolutely loves pig ears! He would prefer someone who can promise to always have them handy for him . He LOVES playing in the backyard. He has happy feet and instantly gets excited when you offer him a treat and cant sit still with the amount of excitement that's rushing through his body. He already sits on command, especially when treats are involved. He is kennel trained and uses the dog door if available. He's trained to go to bed on command as well and will go to his kennel when asked. Wrigley is neutered, UTD on vaccines, and microchipped, Wrigley is approximately 10 months old and weighs around 50ish pounds. To meet Wrigley, please fill out the application https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/PAWP/Dog

Story
Brandy is 4 years old, purebred Lab, very sweet, loves affection and belly rubs, being with her humans. Shes 100 pounds of pure-love. She really likes her rawhide toys! Her favorite game is tug-of-war with a rubber tire or a rope toy. She’s very strong!! Shes an indoor/outdoor dog and loves it, her previous owners kept her outside only except summers I adopted Brandy one year ago,I decided to take her when the previous owner was allergic. Turns out I am allergic to her too!! I decided to take allergy pills and keep her. She is housebroken. I’m unexpectedly selling my home and will no longer have the big backyard she loves. I am downsizing to a small condo with a small balcony! It wouldn’t be fair to her to not have a yard to run and play in. She deserves the best life. She is a sweetheart. Very lovable and funny too!! You will fall in love with her! She deserves a wonderful forever family! She’s a good girl.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. LEONARDO is available! Leonardo is a large and tall 4-and-1/2-year-old neutered male Goldendoodle; he is loving and with a heart of gold. His friendly demeanor and love for playtime make him an ideal companion for anyone seeking a loyal furry friend. Leonardo’s zest for life is contagious! He enjoys playing, chasing after tennis balls, and curling up on the couch for cuddle sessions. Leonardo is a smart cookie! He has completed an extensive board and train session, where he has learned impulse control when greeting people, in addition to basic commands. He has visited Home Depot several times and met strangers very politely. Once Leo is adopted, his trainer is happy to meet with the family several times to help them with ongoing training techniques. Leonardo has shown that he can live with other dogs, but is also happy to be the center of attention as the only dog. Leonardo has interacted with kids aged 9 to 15 and aced the test! He’s been gentle and allowed them to pet him all over without any issues. But he is big and toddlers are not advised because he can accidently knock them down. Leonardo takes a small daily dose of fluoxetine to manage his anxiety. Loud noises, like fireworks, still spook him, but he finds comfort in being close to his human companions during those moments. He also takes some Benedryl for allergies. Are you ready to welcome Leonardo into your heart and home? Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.CHUCKY is available!   Chucky is a special dog needing a special home. He is a handsome, active, five-year-old Golden Retriever recently neutered on 6/26/26. Chucky is a playful dog that loves balls and fetch. He has never lived with other dogs or cats, and loves to be with people - but can be unpredictable and overly-protective if he feels threatened. He is very strong and not well leash-trained, but once he starts walking, he calms down. Chucky requires very dog-savvy, experienced adopters with NO children and NO pets and who are willing to work patiently with him. He is fine with meeting other dogs socially, but he can be pushy with a “short fuse" if other dogs invade his space. He has been placed on fluoxitene (doggie prozac) to see if that will help take the edge off his reactivity. Chucky has been evaluated by two behaviorists who both feel there is a lot of potential there for Chucky to become a better canine citizen with the proper handling and professional training. Chucky is currently enrolled in a Board and Train program and his trainers are very willing to work with an adopter after he has graduated. He is currently working on his Canine Good Citizen skills. We believe Chucky is worth the effort, because 99.9% of the time he is such a terrific dog. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.TEDDY is available! 26-045 Teddy is a handsome neutered male Golden Retriever approximately 18 months old.  He was lost and taken to a County Shelter and his prior family adopted him from there.  Unfortunately the family had some hardship and surrendered him to AGR to find him the perfect home.  Teddy is very energetic, very “happy-go-lucky”, and would benefit from some obedience training.  He would love to have a large fenced yard with a pool and an active, friendly canine companion. Older or frail dogs can be cranky and not appreciate his play. He loves children as long as they are sturdy enough to withstand all his kisses and jumping, but he might knock over small children or the frail elderly adults.  If you are interested in adopting this dog or any other available AGR dogs, and want to know more about the process, please click here.  Note:   WE DO NOT ADOPT OUTSIDE OF THE STATE OF ARIZONA.
