Story
Meet Kaia! Kaia was found as a stray. She was taken to Arizona Humane due to a growth in her ear. After assessing Arizona Humane felt they could not take on her medical. Well, we had no problem helping her! Kaia was picked up and taken to her foster home. She needed to see a vet ASAP! We needed to know what to do for her ear and we noticed the other ear was also infected. After getting some antibiotics and pain medication we set up a time to get her ear looked at. She would need to be sedated for this. She would not let anyone near her ears. This didn't happen overnight. This was years of ear infections that went untreated. Kaia had a procedure that removed her entire ear canal and her ear. This was the only way we could stop the infections. It was a tough recovery. She wouldn't take her medication and because there was already infection in her ear she struggled. Two doctors visits and a stay at the emergency vet FINALLY fixed this little lady! Well we thought we were all done! Kaia's other ear started acting up just as she finished healing. We scheduled her for another procedure. She is now had both ears done. The good news is she will never have another ear infection. She is now hearing impaired. She can hear some tones but that is it. They also removed her ears. Kaia doesn't let that stop her! She is moving on and feeling good! She is a total love bug! She likes to chew on her bones. Chill in her dog bed and watch a little TV with her foster parents. She walks on a leash. She is good with other dogs and cats. She actually loves to play with cat toys HA HA! She is such a good dog! Kaia spayed, UTD on vaccines, microchipped, and 4DX (tick/heartworm test) negative. Kaia is approximately 4 years old and weigh 48 pounds.

Story
URGENT!!! This is Mason (1.5 years old, lab-mix 35lbs)— he's a sweet, shy boy who's been through a lot and truly deserves a safe, patient home. He's neutered, microchipped, kennel-trained, and potty trained. Mason is great with people and kids once he gets to know them, but he's shy at first due to past trauma. Sadly, he's been attacked twice by our other family dog, and for his safety, we can't keep them together anymore. He must go to an only dog home, Because of what he's been through, Mason is now fearful of dogs. He will need someone patient and understanding to help him slowly rebuild his confidence through gentle training and love. It breaks our hearts to rehome him, but we want him to be somewhere he feels safe, loved, and confident again. He loves snacks, walks, and once he opens up, he's the sweetest, most loyal boy. We really don't want to take him back to the Maricopa shelter - we're hoping someone kind and patient can give him the home he deserves.

Itachi is a Labrador (His father is a black Labrador retriever and his mother is Labrador retriever and Doberman) he just turned 3 years old in May. I unfortunately am needing to rehome him as my job requires a lot of travel and we are outside of the house more than we are home. He is a chill, smart, and wonderful dog. He is house-trained, and listens well to commands. He has never been destructive. He LOVES to run, and play fetch. He is absolutely amazing with kids. I would love for him to go to a great home where he will be able to have more time for him. Please reach out if you are interested in meeting Itachi. He is up to date with his vaccinations and I will provide his kennel, leash, bowls, toys, and harness for him.

He was rescued from the county euthanasia list over a year ago, and he’s been proving ever since what a loving, gentle soul he is. Now fully vetted (neutered, microchipped, and UTD on vaccines), Crane is house-trained, leash-trained, and even dog-door savvy! Here’s why Crane is amazing:
• Great with dogs – he’d love a canine sibling!
• Wonderful with kids – the definition of a gentle giant
• Food-motivated and eager to please
• Calm, sweet, and affectionate
• Smart and routine-ready Crane is a quiet, loving companion who dreams of a yard to explore, a dog buddy to play with, and a human or two to cuddle at the end of the day. He’s not just a dog—he’s the missing piece to your family. Are you the one to give Crane the home he’s waited so long for?

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.BELLE is available! 25-001 Belle is a 3-yr-old spayed Golden/Great Pyrenees mix. She is  playful, affectionate and friendly with people and dogs. She will chase cats, although she has not hurt them. Belle gets along with older children, but she is so tall and boisterous that she could accidentally knock over a small child. She does need leash and obedience training but walks pretty well on a leash. Belle loves to dig and bury her bones in the backyard, so a dog door or unsupervised yard access is not a good idea. Belle does not like to be crated, so a home where people are not gone all day is best for her. She requires a 6-ft wall and a good-sized yard. Belle needs exercise to work off some of that puppy enthusiasm - leash walking will not be enough. She loves to play with other dogs, but is protective of her food and treats, so supervision will be needed and she would be happy living as a single dog.  If you are interested in adopting this dog or any other available AGR dogs, and want to know more about the process, please click here.  Note:   WE DO NOT ADOPT OUTSIDE OF THE STATE OF ARIZONA. He looks like a Golden Retriever but with a beautiful chocolate-colored wavy coat! He is very exuberant, playful, sweet, loving, and loyal. At times he is docile and at times very energetic. Nino would benefit by having another big dog to play with. He does jump on people so could knock over a small child or a frail elderly person. Nino loves treats. He needs a yard to run in, a strong family that will exercise him, work on his training skills, and give him lots of attention.
