Story
Dixie is an adorable approximately 3 month old Flat Coated Retriever and Great Pyrenees mix weighing 36 pounds who is ready to find a loving forever family. After waiting patiently for her owner to come for her, Dixie was never reclaimed and is now available for adoption. Like most puppies, Dixie is full of curiosity, playfulness, and excitement for life. She is at the perfect age to begin learning, bonding with her new family, and growing into a loyal lifelong companion. With her gentle expression and lovable personality, Dixie is sure to steal your heart. As with all puppies, Dixie will need continued training, socialization, consistency, and patience as she learns good manners and grows into a well-rounded adult dog. Due to her playful nature, Dixie is not suggested with children under the age of 8 years old. Her adoption fee is $125. She is spayed, microchipped, received age-appropriate boosters to date, and dewormer. If you are ready to welcome this sweet girl into your family, please submit an online adoption application today at: https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. For questions, please call 972-771-7750 ext. 2 or email info@RockwallAdoptions.com. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense. August 10, 2026, 4:25 pm

Sooner ~ This boy is handsome, goofy, loves other dogs and is looking for someone to teach him about the good life and world around us as he has had limited experience getting to be all the best things we love about these breeds.  retrieveafriend.org/adopt  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 8, 2026, 11:31 am

Story
"Dixie is a sweet 5-month-old Labrador Terrier mix born February8th,2026. She's crate trained and knows sit, down, paw, and wait. She's doing well with potty training. Usually nose bumps the door when she needs out, but still has an occasional accident if not let out in time. She's playful, energetic, loves walks and playtime, and still gets puppy zoomies and occasional gentle nipping at clothes. She's shy or cautious in new situations, still learning how to interact with unfamiliar people(adults mainly) and other dogs. She tends to bark or want to get closer out of excitement or uncertainty, not aggression. She'll come with her crate, toys, treats, and supplies. Looking for a loving home that can provide regular exercise, continued training, and patience. I'd want to speak with potential adopters and make sure she's going to a great fitting home. She still has puppy tendencies with training she will improve quickly. Having a baby soon so Dixie needs a home ASAP

Story
Marshall is about 5 years old and has been with us since we rescued him from a shelter 4.5 years ago. He’s about 95 lbs, possibly a Lab/Great Pyrenees mix. He loves cuddles, attention, lounging outside, and walks, and he does great on a leash. He lives with our other Lab and two young kids, gets along well with our dog, and mostly ignores the children. Marshall is a wonderful dog, but he’s high maintenance. He’s anxious about many things (water, the vet, hot air balloons, and sometimes even familiar things like his crate), has allergies that can lead to yeast infections, has had a few seizures over the past 3 years, and sheds a lot. We believe Marshall would thrive with a family that has a little land, older kids to play with, and the time to provide the attention and routine medical care he needs. We love him deeply, and this has been an incredibly difficult decision, but we know he deserves a home that better fits his needs.

Story
I adopted Robin in 2023 from The Colony Animal Shelter. She is a high-energy, anxious, loving dog! She is ALL kisses and loves playing rough with her siblings. She is my sweet girl; however, she deserves more than I can give her at the moment due to school and work. If you love walks and outside time, she is your girl!
