Story
Cole is a very handsome 1 year old, 60 pound flat-coat retriever mix (our best guess!)   He is thriving in his foster home—soaking up the company of friendly resident dogs and all the love from his doting foster parents. He’s a happy, friendly, well-rounded guy with a wonderful temperament. Cole is ready for his next chapter—one filled with safety, love, and a forever family of his own. He would be happiest in a home with another friendly confident dog, a home with fenced yard and owner home more than not.    To meet Cole in person visit us at www.dsda.org/adopt and submit our online adoption application.  ADOPTION FEE Covers: Core vaccines plus Lepto and Flu, all boosters, microchip, dewormer until clear fecal test & spay or neuter when completed by a DSDA vet partner plus any necessary medical care.  All dogs are on flea, tick and heartworm prevention and you receive the following month's preventatives complementary with your adoption!  * Adoption Fees: Puppies (12 months and under) - $325  Dogs (over 12 months) - $275  Qualifications for Adoption:  No dog is alike and each dog has different requirements based on breed, age, energy level and life experiences. DSDA is very careful to place our dogs in homes that we believe are the best fit for the dog based on our experience with each dog. All of our dogs live in foster homes which allows us the opportunity to learn about their individual needs.  Must be home more than not. Vet checks are required! All resident pets in the applicant's home MUST be spayed or neutered, core vaccines up to date and dogs on heartworm prevention to be considered! No exceptions.  Must be 21 years or older with identification showing present address. Must have the knowledge and consent of all adults living in the household. Must receive proof of pet deposit and lease allowing pets if renting. Willingness and capacity to spend the time and money necessary to provide training, medical treatment and responsible care for a pet. Must have a secure fence if in a house. All poisonous plants must be removed from the yard.  DSDA is located in Dallas and requires a home visit on every adoption so only adopt to Dallas and surrounding areas. ##2573318##

Story
Meet Elordi: A Snuggle Specialist in a Gorgeous Brindle JacketAt just 5–6 months old, Elordi has already lived through more than any puppy should. She was dumped at a construction site with her two sisters, which is frankly a terrible way to treat a baby this cute. But Elordi has chosen not to dwell. She is focused on softer things now. Blankets. Cuddles. Human laps. Emotional healing via snuggling. This sweet girl is a little shy at first, like someone who arrives at the party, quietly scopes out the vibe, and then decides to become permanently attached to the nicest person in the room. Once she feels safe, Elordi is all in — leaning in for love, curling up close, and reminding you that trust is a very beautiful thing. She also loves hanging with the kids at the party. And can we talk about the coat? Because Elordi did not show up looking like every other puppy. She’s rocking a gorgeous long coat with subtle brindle coloring, like she was personally styled by nature and told to keep it understated. Effortlessly pretty. No notes.Elordi is soft, snuggly, and sweeter than she has any right to be after the start she had. She’s the kind of puppy who doesn’t need to be the loudest in the room to steal your heart. She’ll just quietly climb into it... and probably into your lap too. Adopt Elordi — because some girls are born for drama, and some are born for cuddles in a fabulous brindle fur coat.To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt. It doesn`t obligate you, but it is the first step. We don`t get to all of the inquires but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!

Story
Meet Bree! Bree is a 6 month old smooth coat retriever mix with a petite frame and the sweetest spirit. She has unique brindle coat and ears soft like velvet. She was found dumped at a construction site with her two sisters, but this resilient girl hasn’t let that rough start dull her shine. She loves to be with her people and pack. She gets along with adults and kids alike. She gets along with her much larger foster siblings and will hold her own if needed. She is a shadow dog and loves to always be nearby, but is not underfoot. Bree also has opinions on TV shows and wants to share them with you. She`s content to sleep on her bed while you work, eat, or just while you`re doing daily activities. She is house trained and crate trained. She protests when she first goes in her crate but will eventually settle. She hasn’t been tested with cats yet, but she’s eager to learn, loves attention, and is ready to trade construction dust for a cozy home and a family of her own. Eventhough, she enjoys hanging with her siblings and her foster`s pack she would be fine as an only dog. She would also do fine as an apartment dog. Bree has been spayed and current with her vaccines. Bree is ready to build her forever life with you.To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt. It doesn`t obligate you, but it is the first step. We don`t get to all of the inquires but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!

Story
🐾 Meet Millie – The Sweetest Girl Looking for Love! 🐾 Millie is a chameleon. She can look soft and squishy, or she can look calm and aloof. The one thing that is constant is what a special, loving girl she is. She looks at her foster parents with love in her eyes all the time, that when her face softens and a sereness comes over her. She is a delight, she is gentle and sweet but you can tell this one loves deeply when she feels safe. Millie is 48 lbs, loves to play especially in water. She is intrigued by animals on TV and will focus in every time that is playing. She loves everyone she meets—kids, big dogs, little dogs—you name it! I just have so much love to give and can’t wait to find a family who will love me back. So why am I looking for a new home? Well, my owner’s boyfriend’s dog didn’t like me and wasn’t very nice to me. My owner made the tough decision to let me go because she knew it was for the best. And you know what? That means I now have the chance to find a family who will love me as much as I love them! I’m about 49 pounds, petite but full of personality! This sweet girl is much smaller than she looks, crate trained, potty-trained and good with other pups and children. Millie has lived with a child in a wheelchair and does just fine! Millie is about a year old and finds herself in an unexpected position. And its better for Millie to be in a home she can thrive in. She is medium sized, house and crate trained and while she still pulls on her leash, walking manners are improving quickly. All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. Puppies adopted under the age of five months require a spay/neuter contract, and all dogs are required to be spayed by six months unless otherwise medically noted. Our dogs are currently on heartworm preventative. Puppies receive 3 to 4 rounds of vaccinations depending on their age, and adults receive two rounds unless they've been with us longer than a year, in which case they receive the booster update. You can complete an application or view all the adoptable pets on our website at www.dallasdog.org/adopt. Upon receiving your application, please allow us 2-3 business days to review and process.

Story
Introducing Coco Mann, a handsome 5-year-old boy weighing in at 76 pounds. Coco may be a little nervous when meeting new people, but he truly thrives in the company of someone who is home often or has another dog companion. We have found that apartment living may not be the best fit for him, as he benefits from having someone around to spend time with. Coco's journey began when he was found in the outside kennels of the Fort Worth shelter during a time when they were asking dogs to be moved due to frigid temps. Recognizing the need for immediate help, we took him into our boarding facility for temporary housing. However, after seeing what a wonderful dog he is, we couldn't bear to send him back to the shelter. With open hearts, we made the decision to bring Coco into our rescue, where he now awaits his forever home. Since arriving in our rescue, Coco has shown us what a great dog he is. Currently living in a foster home with other dogs, Coco may feel a bit nervous around little children due to their fast movements. However, in new settings, his disposition is adorable, submissive, and happy. With time and patience, he continues to gain confidence and is now thriving on the leash. Walking beside you, Coco has become quite the pro! Coco is a couch potato by nature, but when it's playtime, he will entertain himself endlessly with a toy. He loves tossing it up in the air and engaging in playful antics. Additionally, he has shown good compatibility with cats, although proper introductions are highly recommended as each cat's personality is unique. While we're uncertain about how Coco would do with young children due to his nervous nature, we believe he would be just fine with bigger kids over the age of five. His loving and good-looking demeanor makes him an ideal companion for a family ready to give him the chance he deserves. If you're looking for a loyal and affectionate buddy, Coco is waiting to steal your heart. Don't hesitate to reach out and give this deserving pup a forever home filled with love and understanding. #AdoptCocoMann #RescueDog #ForeverHomeNeeded All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption.
