Story
Cole is a very handsome 1 year old, 60 pound flat-coat retriever mix (our best guess!)   He is thriving in his foster home—soaking up the company of friendly resident dogs and all the love from his doting foster parents. He’s a happy, friendly, well-rounded guy with a wonderful temperament. Cole is ready for his next chapter—one filled with safety, love, and a forever family of his own. He would be happiest in a home with another friendly confident dog, a home with fenced yard and owner home more than not.    To meet Cole in person visit us at www.dsda.org/adopt and submit our online adoption application.  ADOPTION FEE Covers: Core vaccines plus Lepto and Flu, all boosters, microchip, dewormer until clear fecal test & spay or neuter when completed by a DSDA vet partner plus any necessary medical care.  All dogs are on flea, tick and heartworm prevention and you receive the following month's preventatives complementary with your adoption!  * Adoption Fees: Puppies (12 months and under) - $325  Dogs (over 12 months) - $275  Qualifications for Adoption:  No dog is alike and each dog has different requirements based on breed, age, energy level and life experiences. DSDA is very careful to place our dogs in homes that we believe are the best fit for the dog based on our experience with each dog. All of our dogs live in foster homes which allows us the opportunity to learn about their individual needs.  Must be home more than not. Vet checks are required! All resident pets in the applicant's home MUST be spayed or neutered, core vaccines up to date and dogs on heartworm prevention to be considered! No exceptions.  Must be 21 years or older with identification showing present address. Must have the knowledge and consent of all adults living in the household. Must receive proof of pet deposit and lease allowing pets if renting. Willingness and capacity to spend the time and money necessary to provide training, medical treatment and responsible care for a pet. Must have a secure fence if in a house. All poisonous plants must be removed from the yard.  DSDA is located in Dallas and requires a home visit on every adoption so only adopt to Dallas and surrounding areas. ##2573318##

Story
Meet Popeye - The Sailor of Snuggles & Zoomies Ahoy there! I'm Popeye, an 11-month-old Lab/Collie mix weighing about 41 lbs, and I'm ready to sail straight into your heart. I was found by the police on 6/18/25 after being left overnight in front of Rockwall Adoption Center, but even with a rough start, I've kept my happy spirit and playful charm. I'm a fun-loving, energetic boy who lives for a good game of chase, a long walk, and then a well-earned nap (preferably somewhere soft and close to my people). I walk nicely on a leash, appear to be crate trained, and with a little continued training, I'll be an absolute star student. I'm the perfect mix of playful puppy energy and sweet, laid-back cuddle buddy. I tend to do best with female dogs, and a meet and greet is always encouraged to make sure we're a good match. After waiting 246 days as of 02/20/26, I've officially earned Diamond Dog status, which means my adoption fee is just $75. I come neutered, microchipped, up to date on rabies and boosters, and heartworm negative&#194&#151ready to go home and start my next adventure. If you're looking for a loyal, goofy, and lovable companion who will keep life fun and full of tail wags, I might just be your guy. Apply to meet me here: https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ The crew at RAC will be in touch with next steps once your application is received. All aboard for a lifetime of love with Popeye!  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. For questions, please call 972-771-7750 ext. 2 or email info@RockwallAdoptions.com. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense. February 27, 2026, 3:53 pm

Story
Meet Sailor Sailor is an approximately 1-year-old female Lab mix weighing 55lbs. She was found off Phelps Lake Drive in Rockwall on 2/23/26, and sadly, no one came to reclaim her. She is now officially available for adoption and ready to start her next chapter. Sailor is a very sweet, social girl who enjoys being around people. She walks fairly well on a leash but does not appear to have had formal training, so she would benefit from continued guidance and structure in her new home the same as any other new pet in the family. She has not yet been dog-tested, as she is still new to the RAC crew. For adopters with other dogs in the home, a meet and greet is strongly encouraged prior to adoption to ensure a good fit before taking her home. Her adoption fee is $125 and includes her spay, microchip, DAPPV booster, Bordetella booster, rabies vaccination, and heartworm test. All interested adopters, please complete an online adoption application at: https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ Meet and greets will be scheduled with approved applicants in the order applications are received.  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Story
Hi there, my name is Finn! I am a 4-year-old male Golden Doodle that weighs about 52Lbs. I was recently surrendered to Rockwall Adoption Center when I was no longer a suitable fit for my household. My previous family says that I am very smart and eager to learn and that I also enjoy snuggling up under blankets with my people! I would be best suited in an adult only home. My adoption fee is $125. I am already neutered, up to date on my Rabies vaccine, DHLPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, and microchipped. I am scheduled for my annual heartworm test on Wednesday, 03/04/26, which is also included in my adoption fee. If you are interested in meeting or adopting me, please submit an adoption application at https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ .  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX.
