Story
Hello, my name is Mercury! I am an approximately 18 month old male Lab and Pit Bull mix weighing around 48 pounds who is looking for a loving forever home. I was found off Holden Drive in Rockwall alongside two other dogs believed to be my siblings and was never reclaimed. I am a sweet and gentle boy who can be a little shy when adjusting to new people and environments. New situations can be overwhelming at first, but with patience, kindness, and consistency, I begin to relax and show my affectionate side. Once I trust someone, I enjoy quiet cuddle time and being close to my people. I walk well on a leash and would do best with a family that can provide encouragement and support as I continue to build confidence. I am still learning that new experiences can be positive, and I am looking for someone willing to help me grow at my own pace. I have done well with female dogs. My compatibility with male dogs is currently unknown. If you have another dog in the home, a meet and greet is recommended prior to adoption to ensure we are a good fit for one another. I am neutered, microchipped, current on my rabies vaccination and annual boosters, and I have tested heartworm positive. Thanks to Rockwall PAWS, my heartworm treatment is sponsored, helping ensure I have every opportunity to live a long and healthy life. My adoption fee is $125. If you are interested in giving me the loving home I deserve, please submit an adoption application at: https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ An approved application is required prior to scheduling a meet and greet. I look forward to finding a family that will help me leave my past behind and start my next chapter.  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. For questions, please call 972-771-7750 ext. 2 or email info@RockwallAdoptions.com. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense. June 13, 2026, 7:40 pm

Story
I got Hunter in 2019 and he has been with me through good times and bad times. He’s a great dog that loves with all his heart. He’s so sweet with kids but if my baby sneaks up on him he has shown aggression so I don’t think he’d be happy living in a house with a small child. He doesn’t like to play fetch but he will watch you get the ball. He will play with toys when he’s in the mood and he loves to lay on multiple dog beds. I think he feels extra cozy with them. He’s good with dogs when he gets to know them. He doesn’t want to deal with them. He will give kisses like crazy and he loves scratches. He’s also happy to taste test anything you cook. I would not rehome him if I had a choice but this is best for him.

Story
Meet Stormy, an approximately 8-year-old female black Labrador Retriever mix who is 67 Lbs. She was never reclaimed and now, she is available for adoption. She was found running loose on Vitex Drive on 04/29/26 and is ready for a fresh start with a family who can provide her with the comfort and stability she deserves. Stormy is a calm, gentle dog who is likely to thrive in a relaxed home environment. While we are still getting to know her, she has shown a quiet, easygoing nature that is typical of many dogs her age. Senior dogs like Stormy often make wonderful companions, offering loyalty and companionship without the high energy of younger dogs. Stormy gets along with other dogs but a meet and greet is encouraged for any home with existing pets to ensure a good fit. Her adoption fee is $125. She is spayed, microchipped, current on my rabies vaccination, age-appropriate boosters, and heartworm negative. If you are looking for a calm, loyal companion to share your home, Stormy may be the perfect match. Story
Hello, my name is Myrtle! I am an approximately 10 week old female Lab mix puppy who was found as a stray near Old Millwood Road and Camp Creek. Unfortunately, my owners never came forward to reclaim me, so I am now available for adoption and ready to find a loving forever home. As a young puppy, I am still learning everything there is to know about being a well mannered canine companion. I will need a family that has the time, patience, and commitment to continue my training and socialization as I grow. Puppies require a significant investment of time and energy, but in return, they provide years of love, companionship, and unforgettable memories. Because I am still developing physically and behaviorally, my future size, temperament, and activity level cannot be guaranteed. Adopters should be prepared for all the joys and responsibilities that come with raising a puppy into adulthood. My adoption fee is $125 and includes my spay, rabies vaccination, microchip, age appropriate vaccinations, and deworming. Please note that my spay surgery is scheduled for Wednesday, June 24, 2026. This appointment is non negotiable and will be required as part of my adoption. An approved online adoption application is required prior to scheduling a meet and greet. If you are interested in making me a member of your family, please submit an application at: https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Where did we get Zona? - We got Zona off of Craigslist when she was a puppy in 2022. What is her breed? - She is half Golden Retriever and half Great Pyrenees How old is she? - She’s 4 years old now About Zona: - Zona has a gentle personality and is wonderful with kids. She loves being around people and has been a great companion to our family. As our family continues to grow, we’ve realized we can no longer give her the time and attention she truly deserves. This has been a very difficult decision for us, and we want to find Zona a loving, caring home where she will continue to be loved and well cared for. We are hoping to find the perfect family who can give her the attention, affection, and stable home she deserves.
