Story
Meet Igor &#194&#150 Your Loyal Shadow with a Big Heart and an Even Bigger Personality Igor is an 11-month-old male Labrador mix weighing about 50 lbs, and he's ready to trade in shelter life for a couch, a family, and a lifetime of love. He came to Rockwall Adoption Center after his previous owner experienced serious medical and personal hardships and could no longer care for him, but Igor has kept his joyful spirit and strong desire to be close to his people. This handsome boy is everything you'd expect from a young Lab mix: friendly, affectionate, playful, and full of life. He is housebroken, crate trained, great with kids, and does well with other dogs. Igor thrives on companionship and likes to be part of whatever his humans are doing. Because he forms strong bonds, he can become anxious when left alone for long periods and does best in a home where he isn't left to his own devices without guidance or structure. He will benefit from an adjustment period as he learns his new home's boundaries, routines, and expectations, along with continued positive training and reassurance. Like many puppies his age, Igor has plenty of energy and enthusiasm and can be a bit exuberant at times. With regular exercise, mental enrichment, and a consistent schedule, he will settle in and grow into a confident, well-mannered companion. Igor is neutered, microchipped, current on his rabies and DHPPC vaccinations, heartworm negative, and on heartworm prevention. His adoption fee is $125, which includes all of his veterinary care. If you're looking for a loving, loyal, people-oriented pup who wants to be your constant companion and will flourish with patience, structure, and affection, Igor may be the perfect match for you. Apply to adopt Igor here: https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. For questions, please call 972-771-7750 ext. 2 or email info@RockwallAdoptions.com. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense. January 17, 2026, 2:34 pm

Story
Meet Honey &#194&#150 Your Sweetest New Best Friend! Hi! I'm Honey, a 6-year-old Lab/Golden Retriever mix weighing about 52 lbs, and I truly live up to my name. I came to the shelter on 08/14/2025 when my family moved into a smaller home and wanted me to have more room to run, play, and be the happy girl I am. Now I'm ready for my next chapter and a forever family to love. I'm a friendly, outgoing sweetheart who absolutely adores kids of all ages. If there are giggles, hugs, or a game of fetch happening, I want to be right in the middle of it. I'm fully house-trained, have great manners, and love being part of the family routine. Crates aren't really my thing, but cozy beds, couches, and being near my people definitely are. I prefer to be the one and only pet so I can soak up all the attention (and belly rubs) for myself. I'm also a bit of a clever girl with an adventurous streak, so a securely fenced yard and mindful door-checking are important&#194&#151I like to keep life exciting, and sometimes that means testing my &#194&#147escape artist&#194&#148 skills. My adoption fee is $125, and I come spayed, microchipped, up to date on my rabies and boosters. I did test heartworm positive, but the good news is that treatment will be provided at little to no cost to my adopter thanks to the wonderful support of Rockwall PAWS. The RAC staff are always happy to answer any questions and explain the treatment process. If you're looking for a loving, playful, loyal companion who will fill your home with joy, cuddles, and a whole lot of heart, I'd love to meet you. Apply to adopt me here: https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ I can't wait to find my forever family and start our sweet life together!  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Meet Popeye &#194&#150 The Sailor of Snuggles & Zoomies Ahoy there! I'm Popeye, an 11-month-old Lab/Collie mix weighing about 41 lbs, and I'm ready to sail straight into your heart. I was found by the police on 6/18/25 after being left overnight in front of Rockwall Adoption Center, but even with a rough start, I've kept my happy spirit and playful charm. I'm a fun-loving, energetic boy who lives for a good game of chase, a long walk, and then a well-earned nap (preferably somewhere soft and close to my people). I walk nicely on a leash, appear to be crate trained, and with a little continued training, I'll be an absolute star student. I'm the perfect mix of playful puppy energy and sweet, laid-back cuddle buddy. I tend to do best with female dogs, and a meet and greet is always encouraged to make sure we're a good match. After waiting 212 days as of 01/17/26, I've officially earned Diamond Dog status, which means my adoption fee is just $75. I come neutered, microchipped, up to date on rabies and boosters, and heartworm negative&#194&#151ready to go home and start my next adventure. If you're looking for a loyal, goofy, and lovable companion who will keep life fun and full of tail wags, I might just be your guy. Meet Scar &#194&#150 The Farm-Hopping Sweetheart Ready for His Forever Home Hi there! I'm Scar, a 1-year-old Lab/Pit mix with a big smile, a loving heart, and just a touch of adventure in my soul. I originally came to the shelter after my curiosity got the best of me and I went exploring to visit the farm animals next door (they looked friendly, okay?). Now I'm ready to settle down and put my energy into being someone's loyal, happy companion. These days, I'm confident, social, and full of love. I enjoy people and don't take long to show my affectionate side. I've lived with my sibling Draco my whole life, so I'm used to having another dog around and would love a canine companion. I do well with female dogs and tend to prefer smaller male friends, and as always, a meet and greet is the best way to make sure everyone is a good match. According to my previous family, I also did well with cats and children, making me a great candidate for a fun, active household that's ready for a young dog with a big heart. I'm neutered, microchipped, up to date on my core vaccinations including rabies, and heartworm negative. My adoption fee is $125 and includes all of that, plus a lifetime of tail wags, goofy moments, and unconditional love. If you're looking for a sweet, friendly, adventure-loving pup who's ready to trade farm field trips for family life and couch cuddles, I'd love to meet you.
