Story
Meet Magnus—an American Foxhound / German Shepherd / Malinois mix (DNA Tested) who is already a massive puppy, and he’s expected to grow into a 100+ lb adult. He’s bold, curious, and whip-smart (those working-dog genes are no joke), with a hound nose that will absolutely tell him where the fun is. Magnus is the kind of pup who’s going to thrive with structure, enrichment, and an adopter who genuinely enjoys training and building a great dog from the ground up. Magnus was a singleton, so he’s just now learning dog play and social skills—the stuff littermates usually teach naturally, like bite inhibition and reading “enough” signals. Because of that, we require a home with a stable, dog-friendly adult dog who can help model appropriate play and communication (with supervised introductions and structured playtime). Pair that with positive training and a good puppy class, and Magnus is set up to grow into a fantastic, well-mannered companion. Magnus’s ideal family is experienced (big dogs and/or working breeds), committed to daily mental + physical exercise, and ready to raise a powerful adolescent into a polite adult. Think: training plan, boundaries, enrichment, and safe socialization—starting now. If you’re in Raleigh, NC and looking for a big, brilliant puppy to grow with you (and you’re ready for the work that comes with these breeds), apply to adopt Magnus through Blazin’ Trails Bottle Babies.

This pup is eligible for our Test the Couch program — a 7-day trial adoption to see if your home (and your couch) is the perfect fit. Learn more  https://pipsrescue.org/test-the-couch/ Meet Hip Hop — or as we lovingly referred to at home as Chestnut & Brownie Boy!   Hip Hop is a sweet, playful teenager with a big heart and an even bigger personality. He’s settled beautifully into his routine in his foster home and is fully potty trained and crate trained — though he’s also doing great with free roam of the house at bed times and when left alone with his foster sibling.    This beautiful boy loves squeaky toys (and takes his squeaker-hunting duties very seriously). He is a big fan of chew toys, treats, and antlers. Give him a good chew while you’re working or cooking dinner, and he’ll happily keep himself busy.   Hip Hop enjoys his walks and outdoor adventures — he’s strong, curious, and full of enthusiasm! He’s still working on his leash manners and pulling, but he’s learning. In the backyard, he’s a total goofball & full of energy. He loves to run, romp, and play tug-of-war with his foster sibling. The two of them can wrestle and chase each other for hours. He would do well in a home with another puppy play mate   Hip Hop He can be a little shy around new people at first, but once he warms up, his silly, affectionate side shines through.   Like any teen, Hip Hop is full of energy and personality and still learning a few polite habits. He can get a bit excited when playing, but he’s eager to please and very trainable as he is very food and treat motivated.   After a busy day, Hip Hop loves nothing more than curling up on the couch for snuggles and TV time — especially if there are animals or Disney movies on! When bedtime rolls around, he likes to be tucked into his blanket. He is also the cutest snorer.    Overall, he is a 10/10 Good boy. ##2261949##

This water-loving furball is basically a professional swimmer (she’s convinced she’s auditioning for the Doggy Olympics every time she jumps in). She’s got the usual energy that comes with being a puppy, but she also knows how to kick back with a good chew treat, because, hey, even adventurers need their downtime. Poppy is all about fun – running around her fenced yard like it’s her personal racetrack. She is looking for her next playmate - must be into light wrestling and spontaneous zoomies. But when she’s not racing or diving into the pool, she’s happy chilling in her crate, where she’s totally crate-trained and potty-trained. So if you’ve got a pool, a backyard, and a playful pup to introduce, Poppy might just be your perfect match! ##2261947##

Story
Zinnia is a calm, affectionate, and smart dog who’s just as happy snuggling under a blanket as she is joining you for a walk. She loves to curl up under a blanket with her head resting on a pillow—a true cozy queen. As a very good girl, Zinnia walks nicely on leash, greets people politely, and adapts easily to a consistent routine. And with her gorgeous natural black “eyeliner,” she’s always photo-ready. A Perfect Day for Zinnia • Morning walk • Snack - peanut butter, carrots, watermelon, or a pig ear are her favorites • Naptime in her blanket nest • Playtime with toys - she loves them all • Evening walk • Cuddles and maybe a pup cup to end the day Activity Level • Medium – typically two or three 20–40 minute walks a day • Flexible on weekends with a more relaxed schedule Skills & Manners • Sit, Wait, Hand (offers paw) • Crate-trained and house-trained • Quiet in the house • Calm with children and large groups • Enjoys car rides • Walks nicely on leash Ideal Home • Consistent routine • Daily walks and cuddle time • Only pet in the household • Apartment or detached house A true hound, Zinnia is food-motivated, smart, and ready to add more skills to her repertoire. While she’s not dog-reactive or aggressive—she can pass other dogs on walks and handle vet visits without issue—she must be the only pet in the home. Zinnia is current on vaccines, spayed, microchipped, and heartworm negative. If you’re looking for a gentle, well-mannered, and affectionate companion, Zinnia is ready to curl up under a blanket, rest her head on a pillow, and make your home her forever home.

Story
When I first picked up Dreamy, she was in terrible shape, emaciated with her hair thin and brittle. Even so, all she wanted was attention. With proper nutrition and a lot of love, she is now a happy, healthy, beautiful girl. She loves everyone she meets and wants nothing but to be close to you and rubbed. She loves her crate and will go in it on her own to sleep when she is tired. She is totally house trained and does her business outside. She has lots of energy and would love an active person to match her energy level. She would make someone a great jogging companion. She loves to go on walks but is a strong girl and will pull in the beginning, however, she settles down the longer she walks. She loves to play with the other large dog in my home and they get along great. She is so energetic I must watch to keep her from tiring him out and overwhelming him. Dreamy will make someone a great and loving pet. Please consider giving her a loving home.

Story
My name is Jonsie and I am a transfer from an outside shelter, so not much is known about my history. I am a sweet boy! I do have some skin issues that the shelter is treating. I am part of the shelter’s Foster-to-Adopt Program. Meaning you can take me home today as a foster and return later for surgery and official adoption. Thank you for considering me!
