You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. INTERESTED IN MEETING OR ADOPTING Bo from Best Friend Pet Adoption rescue? If so, please fill out our dog adoption application by copying and pasting this link in a new browser window: https://toolkit.rescuegroups.org/of/f?c=WHMSYCNC.  This is always the first step which needs to be completed before meeting any Best Friend Pet Adoption dog.     FOSTER COMMENTS: Meet Bo — your future best friend wrapped up in one adorable, wiggly, tail-wagging package. Bo is the kind of puppy who makes every day feel a little brighter. With his playful spirit and love for cuddles, he’s equal parts entertainer and snuggle buddy. One minute he’s happily bouncing around with a toy, the next he’s curled up beside you, soaking up all the love he can get. He’s incredibly sweet, full of personality, and always ready to be part of whatever you’re doing. As a young pup, Bo is still learning the ropes of the world. He’s currently working on crate training and housebreaking, and like any baby, he’ll need a family committed to helping him grow into the amazing dog he’s meant to be. The good news? He’s eager, social, and loves people, which makes training a fun and rewarding experience. Bo is friendly with new people and has already shown he does well with other dogs. He’s even been around a baby and handled it like a champ. He may be a little vocal right now, but that’s just part of his puppy charm—he’s figuring out how to “use his voice,” and with guidance, he’ll learn when it’s time to chat and when it’s time to relax. Bo will thrive with a family who’s ready to include him in daily life, continue his training, give him exercise, playtime and plenty of love, attention and belly rubs.  He can be happy as an only dog soaking up all your attention or with a canine sibling to play with. If you’re looking for a puppy who is affectionate, playful, and absolutely irresistible, Bo is your guy. He’s not just cute—he’s the kind of dog who will grow up to be a loyal, loving companion for years to come. All he needs now is a family to call his own.  Some of the information contained in this biography includes approximations based on our expertise and is not guaranteed.  Applicants ideally should live no further than one hour from Cary NC as our dogs must be seen by a BFPA veterinarian for all medical care prior to adoptions being finalized.  Our foster guardians deliver dogs to their new homes for adoption trials and we do home visits to finalize all adoptions.  We therefore prefer applicants that live within an hours drive of Cary NC.    INTERESTED IN ADOPTING BO ? If so, please fill out our dog adoption application by copying and pasting this link in a new browser window: https://toolkit.rescuegroups.org/of/f?c=WHMSYCNC.  This is always the first step which needs to be completed before meeting any Best Friend Pet Adoption dog.     FOSTER COMMENTS: Meet Josie — your future best friend and full-time source of joy! Josie is a happy-go-lucky, inquisitive pup with a playful spirit and a heart full of love. She’s the kind of dog who wakes up excited for the day, ready to explore, play, and make you smile. Whether she’s romping around the yard or curiously investigating something new, Josie brings a fun, lighthearted energy wherever she goes. This sweet girl absolutely   loves   other dogs and would thrive in a home with a playful canine companion. She currently enjoys keeping up with her two Dalmatian foster siblings and would be thrilled to have a buddy to wrestle, chase, and learn from. While she might be able to be an only dog, she’s never been without company, so a home where she has plenty of interaction—human or canine—would suit her best. Josie is a high-energy pup who would do best with a fenced yard where she can safely explore and burn off some of that puppy enthusiasm. She’s still learning her leash manners (those exciting smells are hard to resist!), but she’s making progress and will continue to improve with consistency and guidance. She’s about 95% housebroken and just needs a little supervision as she finishes learning. Josie isn’t fully crate trained yet—she currently sleeps cozied up with her humans—and she would do best in a home where someone is around most of the day. She’s used to having company and may not thrive if left alone for long hours. Josie hasn’t officially lived with kids yet, but she adores people and has a friendly, outgoing nature that suggests she’ll do well with respectful children. She’s also been around cats and is more curious than anything—no aggression, just a desire to say hello (even if the cats aren’t quite as enthusiastic!). This smart cookie already knows how to sit and is eager to learn more—especially if snacks are involved! Like many puppies, she’s currently teething and enjoys chewing, so she’ll need appropriate toys and guidance to help her learn what’s hers to gnaw on. Josie is mostly quiet, with just a little whining when she’s first left alone or letting you know it’s mealtime. Otherwise, she’s content, cheerful, and ready to be your loyal companion. If you’re looking for a sweet, silly, energetic pup who will keep you laughing and shower you with love, Josie might just be your perfect match. With a little continued training and a lot of affection, she’s going to grow into an incredible lifelong friend. INTERESTED IN ADOPTING JOSIE? Story
We adopted our sweet 2 year old Neville from the SPCA at 12 weeks old. He’s energetic and fun! He’s well behaved walker and has the best dog park manners. He loves our cat and our kids. He thinks he’s a tiny lap dog and wants to snuggle all night. He’s crate trained and house trained. He sleeps in our bed but is perfectly ok with a crate too. We have to rehome Neville because we aren’t the right family For him as much as it breaks our hearts. Although he loves our children dearly he requires a home with older children. He needs an experienced dog owner who can train him or pay for resource guarding training. He is very protective of his toys. We’re also moving in with our 77 year old fall risk mother in law to care for her and he’s too jumpy and protective to be around her. Neville has ALL THE love to give and I’m desperate to find him the loving child free or family with teenagers that can give him the snuggles and love he needs.

Story
Gretna is a happy, people-focused girl with the most adorably goofy run, especially when she's racing back to her favorite humans. Sweet to her core, Gretna loves affection and will happily wrap herself around your legs asking for scritches. In playgroups, she's been respectful and easygoing with both male and female dogs. True to her hound nature, Gretna spends much of her time happily sniffing along the yard's edges, occasionally joining in for quick play sessions before returning to her important scent investigations. She seems like a wonderful match for most friendly, medium-energy dogs and would love a family to adore.Although she is heartworm positive, it is treatable and not contagious. Friends of Wake County Animal Center has provided a $600 sponsorship to help cover the cost of treatment. Email HealaHeart@outlook.com for more information. She is already spayed and up to date on vaccinations, flea/tick and heartworm prevention, is microchipped and ready to go home. If you have cats, we recommend slow introductions over time. If you have children in your home, we recommend supervision between animals and children at all times. If you're interested in learning more about her, please reach out to our volunteer matchmakers at wcac.matchmaker@gmail.com with the subject line "Gretna, 267831" Primary Color: White Secondary Color: Brown Weight: 44.5 Age: 6yrs 6mths 4wks

This pup is eligible for our Test the Couch program — a 7-day trial adoption to see if your home (and your couch) is the perfect fit. Learn more  https://pipsrescue.org/test-the-couch/ Meet Hip Hop — or as we lovingly referred to at home as Chestnut & Brownie Boy!   Hip Hop is a sweet, playful teenager with a big heart and an even bigger personality. He’s settled beautifully into his routine in his foster home and is fully potty trained and crate trained — though he’s also doing great with free roam of the house at bed times and when left alone with his foster sibling.    This beautiful boy loves squeaky toys (and takes his squeaker-hunting duties very seriously). He is a big fan of chew toys, treats, and antlers. Give him a good chew while you’re working or cooking dinner, and he’ll happily keep himself busy.   Hip Hop enjoys his walks and outdoor adventures — he’s strong, curious, and full of enthusiasm! He’s still working on his leash manners and pulling, but he’s learning. In the backyard, he’s a total goofball & full of energy. He loves to run, romp, and play tug-of-war with his foster sibling. The two of them can wrestle and chase each other for hours. He would do well in a home with another puppy play mate   Hip Hop He can be a little shy around new people at first, but once he warms up, his silly, affectionate side shines through.   Like any teen, Hip Hop is full of energy and personality and still learning a few polite habits. He can get a bit excited when playing, but he’s eager to please and very trainable as he is very food and treat motivated.   After a busy day, Hip Hop loves nothing more than curling up on the couch for snuggles and TV time — especially if there are animals or Disney movies on! When bedtime rolls around, he likes to be tucked into his blanket. He is also the cutest snorer.    Overall, he is a 10/10 Good boy. ##2261949##
