Max is a 4-year-old American Foxhound/German Shepherd mix weighing in at about 45 pounds of pure sweetness. This gentle soul may be shy when you first meet him, but beneath that cautious exterior is a dog with an enormous heart just waiting to love his person. Max takes a little time to build trust, but once he knows he's safe and loved, his bond is incredibly special. He is the kind of dog who will quietly become your most loyal companion, offering a depth of love that is truly unmatched. This handsome boy is potty trained, walks beautifully on a leash, and gets along wonderfully with other dogs and children. One of Max's favorite pastimes is wading around in the river, where he can relax and enjoy the simple pleasures of life. He is about 5-6 years old and guessed to be a beagle basset mix with a tad of mystery dog rolled in? Henry is with OBHR through no fault of his own. He had a mom who loves him dearly but she became disabled and couldn’t give him the exercise and time he needs. Henry is a very loving and happy boy! He loves to go meet the other dogs and probably would love a fur brother or sister. Since he came from a home he should he house trained but like all dogs will need to learn a new schedule and pattern. He will need a home with a fenced in yard! He is currently located in Columbus and his adoption fee is $300. He is all vetted and neutered and ready to go! Apply online at ohiobassetrescue.com.  Adoption Process: To meet one our dogs you must first fill out our application on our website ohiobassetrescue.com. Once submitted one of our volunteers will reach out to you. Upon approval you will be given an approval code to email us at ohbassetrescue@yahoo.com. Approvals are good for 6 months for any current or future dogs. After 6 months you will be directed to fill out an updated application. Please note we only process applications where the adopter lives in OH, IN, KY, PA, WV, lower MI. Adopters must be willing to travel to meet the dog they are adopting. Dogs locations are listed on their profile description on our website. Dogs are NOT all located in Brookville, that is our mailing address.
