WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org Meet Max! Max is a 4-year-old American Foxhound/German Shepherd mix weighing in at about 45 pounds of pure sweetness. This gentle soul may be shy when you first meet him, but beneath that cautious exterior is a dog with an enormous heart just waiting to love his person. Max takes a little time to build trust, but once he knows he's safe and loved, his bond is incredibly special. He is the kind of dog who will quietly become your most loyal companion, offering a depth of love that is truly unmatched. This handsome boy is potty trained, walks beautifully on a leash, and gets along wonderfully with other dogs and children. One of Max's favorite pastimes is wading around in the river, where he can relax and enjoy the simple pleasures of life. Max is looking for a patient, understanding family who will give him the time he needs to come out of his shell. In return, you'll gain a devoted best friend whose love is worth every moment of waiting. If you're searching for a gentle, loyal companion with a sweet spirit and a heart of gold, Max may be the perfect addition to your family.

Rowdy is a little shy with new people. Shes great with all dogs she meets and would be best on a home with another dog to help her adjust. Rowdy is curious in new situations, but life up until recently, hasnt been kind to her..... so she will need time to get comfortable and then her true goofy nature will emerge! Like a butterfly, Rowdy is a much different pup than when she 1st came to us from the pound, with no hope of getting out :( UNTIL the rescue chick saw me and knew i was a diamond in the RUFF ;) Rowdy needs a patient home who will give her time to warm up, open up & trust. Older kids only would be best for her and a fully fenced yard is a must. Until she settles in she'll be an escape risk. An apartment would work for Rowdy as well. She is ready for her furever family!! Apply soon! Local adoption only $200, in TX

Story
Meet Brewie! This sweet boy is, quite frankly, a lovable doofus — the kind of happy hound who’ll make you laugh every single day. Brewie is a Treeing Walker Coonhound mix who’s great with other dogs and loves all people. He lives in a foster home with other pups and spends his days chasing them around the yard, playing with toys, and showing off his goofy grin. When he’s inside, Brewie proudly takes on the role of floor inspector — always on the lookout for stray crumbs. Have kids? Adopt Brewie and your floors will stay spotless! He’s also a big fan of treats, toys, and adventures. Whether it’s hiking, kayaking, or just going for a car ride, Brewie’s always ready to tag along. Like any good hound, he loves to follow his nose and has a beautiful singing voice he uses to let you know when it’s time to go outside or grab a snack. He may not have the brains of a scholar, but he makes up for it with his sweet, goofy, and endlessly charming personality. If you’re looking for a fun-loving, social, and affectionate companion who’ll make every day brighter, Brewie is your guy! All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter.   June 19, 2026, 11:59 pm
