Meet Pam!Pam came to FDHS at just over a year old after being rescued from a hoarding situation while carrying her first litter of puppies. She brought them into the world and raised them with every bit of love she had. Now that all of her babies have been adopted and started new lives of their own, it is finally Pam’s turn to be the one cared for.Since settling into a wonderful foster home with her sister Yasmine, Pam has bloomed in the sweetest ways. She has discovered how fun toys can be, how comforting a warm bed feels, and how special it is to be part of a family. She has grown into a loving, playful, happy girl, and we are endlessly grateful for her foster who helped her heart open up.Pam is still learning about the world, but she surprises us every day with her courage and the progress she continues to make. She will need a home with another dog who can help guide her and give her a buddy to play with. A fenced yard is best as she continues practicing her leash skills, and having a canine companion (maybe even Yasmine) will help her feel safe as she settles in. Experience with rescues is preferred but not required.With her gentle nature and sweet heart, we know Pam will fit beautifully into a kind and patient household, whether it has two legged or four legged family members waiting for her.Pam is officially ready to begin her next chapter, and she has so much love waiting for the family that finally calls her their own.

Meet Henrietta! Miss Henry is 35lb., female, Hound mix. She is fully Vetted., crate and potty trained, and walks well on leash. She loves other dogs and I would recommend a home that already has (at least) one dog, if not more. She is fine with cats. Children need to mind their Ps and Qs with her only because chaos frightens her. Henry, Henrietta was found running around in backyards and a huge pond area for weeks. This girl kept me running up to Huber Hts. every night for two weeks working on gaining her confidence. Poor baby was scared of her own shadow and that hasnt improved much. She will need an adopter with a great deal of patience and understanding but the love is well worth the wait. She is scared of sudden movements, loud noises and abhors any change in her routine, once you have one established. Miss Henry will need a home with a fenced yard. Having said all that, Henrietta is a complete love, once she trusts you. She has the softest fur and is the most beautiful fawn color. This baby will be hard to part with and I will be extremely picky when it comes to choosing her furever home, she will come to you carrying a piece of my heart but she needs a family to call her very own, is that your family?

Zelda is kind of a silly name for a beautiful girl like me, UNTIL I discovered that I was named after the "Legend of Zelda" :) She is absolutely amazing and really TOUGH. Well the game she is in is the TOUGHEST game EVER :) Ok, well that is what all the preteen boys say about the game, lol.... So Zelda is my name and I IDENTIFY as a tough girl on the outside and a sweet girl on the inside :D I love everyone and play HARD with my friends.I am so very cute too. I am a great sized girl, about 40#, compact and playful... I want a friend or two in my new furever home. I want a nice house, nice bed and maybe even a fireplace?? I don't think that is too much to ask in this weather! I was found on the streets during a "stray count" performed several times a year in San Antonio. I was hurt, and the "counter" asked for the rescue to help me and they did!!! I have been hanging here, am healthy and smart and beautiful!! ADOPT ME SOON!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)
