We’re looking for the perfect forever home for a very special girl, Layla. After my stepdad passed away about 9 months ago, we took her in, she has been so loved—but we know she deserves a home that can give her everything she needs long-term.Meet Layla 🐾Layla is a 2.5-year-old basset mix with the sweetest soul. She can be a little shy when meeting new people, but once she feels safe, she is incredibly affectionate and loves to cuddle.She’s smart and eager to learn—she even figured out how to use a doggy door in just 2 hours! Layla would do best with someone patient and kind who can help her continue to build confidence as she settles in.She gets along well with other animals, including dogs, cats, and even chickens 🐶🐱🐔. She also has a playful side—she’s a bit of a high jumper and would love a yard or space where she can run and explore.Layla has been through a lot of change & is still adjusting, so she’s looking for a calm, loving home.
