Story
Daisy is 7 years old. She is a tricolor foxhound. We got her a couple of years ago from a shelter. Her owner died and the family couldn't take her in so they had to take her to shelter. We already had another pet a Walker coonhound and they do not get along well. Daisy is the dominant one and doesn't allow for alot peace. Daisy can be sweet dog when it doesn't involve the other dog. I think she would be a good pet for a 1 dog household because there would be no interaction with another dog. It is not a constant issue but it is a daily issue and is not fair to the other dog. She likes to eat, sleep, and bark. She is scared of weather. She likes to snuggle but she doesn't lick. She has been trained in someway because she will sit on command. Please reach out if you want to meet her.

Story
My best trick is helping with the laundry! Okay, I'm not really much help. But I'll keep you company while you wash and fold. Me in three words: sweet, hugger, anxious How I feel about other critters: I think I'll do best as your only pet, thank you very much. Truth be told I'm a little too anxious at the shelter to attempt meet and greets. My absolute favorite thing to do in the world is to give the bestest hugs to my favorite humans! While the people at the shelter are just the nicest, I'd love to have humans of my own to love. This is what I dream about when I dream about my perfect person or family: a kind, patient, quiet, solo pet household where I can have a chance to shine. Maybe a single person, or a nice couple who can spend a lot of time with me to help me build my confidence. I have some stranger danger, so don't expect me to be the life of the party. I've been at the shelter for so long that I'm scared my dreams of a loving home are slipping away. I really need to be the only apple of your eye. Will you be that special person who gives me a chance? Our dogs and puppies go home spayed/neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested (6 months and over), and up to date on core vaccines & heartworm preventative. 📍 Oak Ridge Animal Shelter 395 Belgrade Rd, Oak Ridge ⏰ Tuesday–Saturday | 12–6 PM 💻 Apply to adopt: oakridgetn.gov/ORASadopt For questions or more information: 📞 865-425-3423 | 📧 animalshelter@oakridgetn.gov

Story
Daisy is a beautiful Foxhound with a loving heart and an adventurous spirit. She is affectionate, loyal, and happiest when she's spending time with her people. Due to changing family circumstances, I've made the very difficult decision that it's in Daisy's best interest to find a home that's a better fit for her. This has been one of the hardest decisions I've had to make because Daisy is truly loved, and my only goal is to find the forever family she deserves. Daisy would thrive with an active individual or family who appreciates the wonderful personality of a Foxhound. She enjoys being outdoors, loves attention, and will reward you with unwavering loyalty and plenty of affection. A fenced yard would be highly recommended. She is spayed, up to date on all her shots and is chipped. She is house trained and responds to verbal commands. We have not crate trained her but do have one that you can have along with her bed and toys.

Story
Meet Brittany! Brittany may be tiny, but she more than makes up for it with personality and a serious zest for life! This little Foxhound mix was found roaming the Britton Acres neighborhood in Morristown, which is how she got her name. Like so many rescue dogs, we don't know much about her past or how she ended up on the streets. What we do know is that a Good Samaritan noticed her and helped get her to safety — and we're pretty sure that happened for a reason! Despite whatever she may have experienced before coming to Noah's Arc, Brittany has an incredible amount of love and trust to give. She's affectionate, full of wiggles, and loves to play with other dogs. She's the kind of little dog who is always ready for some fun! She's tiny, she's fun, and she's got a personality much bigger than her little body. Now Brittany just needs a family who will give her the chance to show them just how special she is. Brittany is: Small Foxhound mix Tiny but full of personality Affectionate and people-loving Full of energy and wiggles Loves to play with other dogs Happy and eager to enjoy life Ready for her forever home About Noah's Arc Animal Rescue Noah's Arc Animal Rescue is a nonprofit animal rescue located in East Tennessee. Since 1991, we have been dedicated to rescuing homeless dogs and cats and helping them find safe, loving, lifelong homes. Our pets are spayed/neutered, microchipped, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, current on flea/tick prevention, dewormed, and examined by a veterinarian. Dogs are heartworm tested and cats are FIV/FeLV tested when age appropriate, unless otherwise noted. Meet-and-greets are scheduled by appointment after an adoption application has been submitted. Our adoption process is designed to help each pet find the right forever home.

Story
If you're looking for a best friend who believes there is no such thing as too many cuddles, Dexter is your guy. This handsome Beagle/Foxhound mix has one mission in life: to be as close to his people as possible. His favorite thing in the world is soaking up affection, whether that means snuggling on the couch, leaning into you for pets, or simply being by your side. Dexter is a lovable goofball with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He has a way of making people smile with his silly antics and happy-go-lucky attitude. No matter what kind of day you've had, Dexter is ready to brighten it with his sweet nature and endless love. He's dog-friendly, kid-friendly, and would make a wonderful addition to a family looking for a loyal companion. Dexter enjoys making new friends and is always happy to be included in whatever his people are doing. Dexter is currently undergoing treatment for heartworms. He has already completed the first cycle of treatment and is being scheduled for the second phase. Through it all, he has remained the same loving, affectionate boy who just wants to be loved right back.

Story
Moose is 9.5 years old and he is a very sweet dog but he needs to be in a home without small children. He is big and rough and has accidentally knocked our 1 year old down and hurt him a few times and he recently started snarling at him when he gets close. This is making us uncomfortable having him around our son so he has been staying in a separate area of our house during the day unless our son is napping or we are out of the house. We want him to go to a home where he will be able to go back to roaming as much as he wants and be around people as he loves attention. He is very sweet, loves people and other dogs (especially little dogs), cats and loves sleeping. He is up to date on vaccines, is microchipped and housebroken.
