Volunteers process the applications and need time above their personal needs and full-time jobs to process the apps.Please have patience. We do not have any paid staff members. Our adoption fee is $300 which includes spay/neuter, DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies, HW check, and microchip. Russell Rescue dogs are fostered in the Middle Tennessee area. We do not ship/transport our dogs, so the approved adopter must be willing to travel to Tennessee. Russell Rescue will try to first place our rescue dogs locally or in surrounding states.Russell Rescue is not open to the public for visiting hours. Story
Dabo is a 9-year-old mixed breed. I've had him for the past 8 and 1/2 years. He is very sweet. Very kind. Just a really wonderful dog and it really breaks my heart to have to rehome him. He loves to run. He loves to go outside. Go for hikes. He also loves to just curl up, snuggle and sleep in bed with you. He's really an amazing dog. He is very wary of strangers. He does bark at people. Never bitten anyone. Never even attempted or acted like he was going to. Once he knows somebody he's great with them and lives them. Really good with kids. Unfortunately we have to rehome him due to limited housing options and the best place for us doesn't allow dogs.
