Meet Dr. Caligari! Say hello to Dr. Caligari, a handsome foxhound mix with soulful eyes, a gentle spirit, and a truly inspiring comeback story. This resilient boy arrived unable to use his back legs, but with expert care, rest, and determination, he’s made incredible progress. Now he’s standing, walking, and getting stronger every day—his healing journey is nearly complete! Dr. Caligari thrives on companionship and loves to share his affection. He’s a true cuddle bug who enjoys soft pets, cozy naps, and giving and receiving attention. He’s great with kids, takes treats gently, and has a playful side—he loves his toys and knows the right things to chew. He’s also house-smart, letting you know when he needs to go out and doing well when left alone outside of his crate. On walks, Dr. Caligari is friendly, polite, and loves to greet everyone he meets. For now, he would do best in a single-story home or an apartment, or with someone willing to help him navigate stairs. He would also thrive in a home where someone is around more often than not, at least at first, so he can share his love and affection with his human. Active, playful, and endlessly loving, Dr. Caligari would enjoy adventures on trails or at the park with his family, and then settling in for snuggles at the end of the day. This gentle, brave, and affectionate pup is ready for a caring foster or forever home that will cheer him on as he continues to grow, heal, and enjoy life to the fullest.
