Meet our wonderful foster pup, a 6-month-old July Hound with a heart of gold! This sweet boy was born with a unique condition called microphthalmia, which means that his eyes did not develop properly in the womb. As a result, he is blind and deaf. However, this doesn't slow him down one bit! He is incredibly smart and fearless, quickly and easily adapting to new environments. Despite his blindness and deafness, Otis is a happy and friendly pup who loves nothing more than spending time with people and other dogs. He is full of energy and always ready for play with his canine and human friends or a walk in the park. He has an amazing sense of smell, which he uses along with a unique way of carefully checking out things in front of him with his front paws. Between the two, he's able to explore his surroundings and find his way around with surprising ease. Living with a dog with microphthalmia may seem daunting at first, but it's important to remember that this condition does not define our furry friend. With patience, love, and some extra attention, he will make an incredible companion for the right family. It's important to note that microphthalmia is not a progressive condition and our pup will not lose any of his faculties over time. We believe that Otis deserves a loving forever home where he can continue to thrive and be the happy, fearless pup that he is. If you're looking for a loyal and loving companion who will bring joy to your life, look no further than our amazing foster pup. Let's give him the chance he deserves to live a full and happy life!
