**This is a courtesy listing and Mochi is not currently at our shelter. If you are interested in meeting her, please send an email to chitownrescue@gmail.com and we will get you in touch with Mochi's human friends to set up a meeting.** Meet Mochi! Mochi is an energetic one-and-a-half-year-old Bulldog/Pug mix, weighing approximately 26 pounds. She is looking for a new home that has more time to spend with her and can provide her with an active lifestyle. Mochi loves to go on walks and play with toys. She is food motivated and easy to train; she already walks great on leash and knows "sit" for a treat. Mochi loves to be with her people and is very friendly, although she will do best in a home with no small children. Mochi would thrive as an only dog, or possibly with another dog who matches her energy and play style; so far she seems to do best with male dogs who are larger than she is. If Mochi sounds like YOUR style, send us an email to set up a meet and greet!July 14, 2024, 1:21 am

Story
Yasmine is a sweet and gentle 4 year old French Bulldog who came to us from a breeder release. She is a little shy at first but with some extra love and one on one time she will warm up quickly. Yasmine is a chunk and has a beautiful brindle coloring with a unique toe. The only medical she has is some skin issues and her ears need a weekly cleaning and she is currently taking medication for her left ear to deter it from an ear mas and her foster is cleaning it every other day. Keeping the wrinkles in her face clean are key as she has some skin tags and has lost some fur but it is slowly coming back. She has been to the vet and her ear is already hard and could not be drained, so we keep them super clean and currently use mometamax. Yasmine’s left eye is cloudy but according to the vet it is not medically affecting her and does not need to be removed. Her personality is divine as she is super sweet. Yasmine is a little shy and will crouch down when petted but she is the most loving gal and will seek out attention once she knows she is in a safe place. With a bit of extra love and attention, she quickly warms up. She came to us with 3 others in a breeder release and all of the girls were very close and ran in a pack when we got them. We have slowly separated them and they seem to be doing great with foster siblings. Yas loves to play with her siblings but is very independent and loves to chill in her bed or lay in the sun and observe everyone else playing. She is not fully potty trained but she is working on it. Yaasmine will need structure, guidance and consistency daily as she was kept in a kennel her whole life and used for breeding. She is a spectacular furball and is a sweet as her endearing eyes. Yasmine will do best in a home where she receives plenty of love and attention. Her ideal family will be committed to her regular health care routine and provide a structured environment to help her feel secure. Yasmine is a gentle and affectionate dog who will bring joy and love to her forever home. She’s a wonderful companion who, with a little extra care, will reward you with loyalty and affection. Vaccinated, microchipped, spay and vet cleared. Apply below Fee $975

Story
Macha is a charming and spirited 3-year-old French Bulldog with a distinctive black merle coat and her cute one eye, that does not slow her down at all! Despite her past as a stray, Macha has a joy for life and a playful nature that is truly infectious. She has had serious medical history that starts with her eye surgery then to, bilateral ear ablation surgery and requires regular ear cleaning at least once a week to stay healthy and comfortable. Yeast is attracted to her so we try to stay clear of as much yeast as possible. Macha loves licking her paws so we soak them in Epson salt as well and give her a probiotic. She was rescued from a SoCal shelter where she needed immediate medical attention, and since then, she has been receiving the best care to ensure her well-being. Macha is feisty and loves to play, but she also enjoys quietly observing her foster siblings. Her curious nature often leads her to jump on tables and investigate her surroundings. She’s a bit of a nosy parker, always wanting to know what’s happening around her. Macha is still working on her potty training, but with a patient and understanding home, she is sure to make progress. Her potty training has been delayed due to all the surgeries she has gone under in the past two months. She loves being close to her human and thrives on attention and companionship. In the right environment, Macha will continue to grow and transition into the amazing dog she is meant to be. Macha needs a home that understands her unique medical needs and is willing to keep up with her ear cleaning routine. She would do well in a household where she can be close to her human and continue her potty training journey. Macha would love a family that appreciates her feisty spirit and her playful, yet observant, personality. She is treat driven like most rescue frenchies, so she will be willing to learn a new how to be the best pup ever in a home with consistency and love. If you are ready to open your heart and home to this one-of-a-kind French Bulldog, Macha is waiting to meet you! She promises to bring joy, laughter, and a bit of playful mischief into your life. Vaccinated, microchipped, spay, and vet cleared. Apply below fee $950.

Story
Petey is a charming 8-year-old French Bulldog with a spirited personality and an unyielding love for playing. His back legs might need some extra care, but they don’t slow him down one bit. Despite his incontinent, managed with a diaper, Petey walks and enjoys life to the fullest. He does go to the bathroom on his own and when he is outside he just leaves a trail. He knows he has to go to the bathroom, searches for a spot and starts crouching but then continues walking as he can’t always control it coming out. He thrives in water therapy sessions, where he floats and relaxes in the pool—activities he has grown to love. Petey is highly treat-driven and has a hearty appetite, making training and bonding with him easy and fun. We call him the dog dumpster because he literally never stops eating and has put on some extra weight which he definitely needed. His favorite toy is a ball and a plushy toy, he loves to fetch and return it to show how proud he is of his skill. Petey just wants acknowledgement. Excellent with foster siblings, loves playing with other dogs and showing off his amazing skills. Petey is looking for a forever home where he can continue his water therapy and be showered with love and attention. His new family should appreciate his playful nature and be prepared to manage his potty incidents with patience and care. Please don’t let this deter you from his amazingness and the love he has for just living his life as a family member and not trying to survive on the streets of LA. He just wants family that is going to let him freely live out his golden years filled with playful laziness. If you’re ready to welcome a loving, playful senior into your home, Petey is the perfect companion for you. Apply for Petey on our site. Vaccinated, microchipped, neutered. Apply on site fee $850.00

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Hi I’m Tater a 7 year old female French Bulldog that was brought into the freedom squad 2 months ago when they saved me from a Socal shelter. Despite my age, I have a lot of energy and loves to play, But I do spend a fair amount of time enjoying relaxing and observing my surroundings. Sunbathing is my favorite past time or laying half on your lap while you are watching the telly. Oh lord do I love the toys, balls, plushies, and getting my belly rubbed. My foster mom always takes me to TJ Maxx and I get to pick my favorite toy and play with it in the cart while she is sopping for the other doggies. I am highly motivated with treats, but I will tell you I can be very stubborn at times like any bulldog breed. I love human interaction and enjoy being touched and cuddled by my favorite human. When I was rescued from the shelter I had some skin issues and my eyes were dry and crusty. I have been dealing with a UTI and it seems to be on track and I am feeling much better! My foster mom gives me daily eye drops, and her eye condition is improving. Overall, I’m in good health with no significant ongoing issues apart from my eyes, but that’s also just part of being older. I am crate trained and that is my home I get to go in and out of it as I please. As for potty trained, I rarely have accidents but that is just part of being a rescue and getting use to the home life. My ideal home where I would thrive is with a submissive female dogs or any male dogs. I’m in search of a family that can provide me with a good mix of playtime and relaxation. I would do well in a home where I can receive regular affection and interaction from my favorite humans. So to conclude I’m looking for a loving home where I can continue to enjoy my playful activities and receive the care I deserves. If you are ready to welcome my sweet and energetic self as your companion into your home, I am the perfect addition to your family! I am fully vaccinated, microchipped, and spay. Apply for me on the rescue site, fee $900

Story
Hi I’m Brock I came from a puppy mill in California. I am a 3 year old big guy weighing in at 32 lbs and tall. I have a sparkle in my left eye and I do have to say I have a beautiful coat! I had a challenging start in life, but I am slowly learning what it means to be a cherished pet rather than just another dog in a lab experiment. I spent time in a pack but now I’m discovering the joy of individual attention and love. I’m a shy and mostly nervous boy who is beginning to understand and enjoy human attention. Though initially reserved, I am slowly coming around and starting to appreciate being petted and loved. I do watch the other dogs a lot and follow them and they are teaching me the way a dog should act. Now some of it isn’t always great but for the most part I avoid all conflict and I am starting to venture off on my own a little bit. I want am learning to be a lover not a fighter and trust is my biggest issue with humans. I will let them pet me but its on my own terms. Trying to put a leash on me is not easy all the time. I do enjoy spending time in the pool floating around and observing my foster siblings act like maniacs with a ball. I am telling you I do not know how to be a dog or a member of a family. I feel like my combatable family would be great with other dogs. I tend to maintain a calm demeanor and I don’t think I have ever even barked in front of my foster family. They are mostly focused on getting me to understand what its like to be a family member. I really need a patient and loving family that will spend time with me alone and also with my new pack that might be in my new home. I am slowly learning how to walk on a leash. I am more and more comfortable in a pool with a life jacket and enjoy floating, I most definitely enjoy treats and the dinners my dad makes for me on the grill every night. I have rarely been having accidents in the house, and I know how to use a doggy door now. Hi crate is his safe place, sometimes I like to lay with my siblings sometimes I like to do my own thing. According to the vet I am healthy, considering my background and I am ready to move onto the adoption page and start looking for my forever family. My currently in Scottsdale and my foster Dad lets me roam freely, which is great because I have lived in a kennel my whole life. I will thrive in a home where I receives the special attention I need to feel safe and loved. With a little patience, a lot of love and structure, I know I can be a loyal and loving member of your family. Why Brock Will Be a Great Addition to Your Family: Brock is a gentle soul who, despite his difficult past, is learning to trust and love. He will reward your patience and care with loyalty and affection. Brock will make your home his home after a few weeks of adjustment and will be a wonderful, loving companion. Vaccinated, microchipped, neutered, vet cleared. Apply on our site $1000.00

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Phoenix is a vibrant and playful French Bulldog who loves spending time with her foster siblings. She is estimated at 3 years old, is a bigger girl, and has a beautiful dark merle coat and a distinctive look. Phoenix has been in the rescue for the past three weeks after being found in Phoenix, and despite efforts to locate her previous owners, no one has come forward to claim her. She is a joy to be around and loves to play, bringing energy and fun to any household. She is crate trained, potty trained, and knows some basic commands. Her personality is full of typical Frenchie charm, even if she doesn’t have the usual Frenchie look. Phoenix is gentle with her humans and melts into your lap for love, attention, and human touch. She loves playing with her foster siblings and hanging out with them. She watches the others play in the pool and has slowly been getting in to cool off briefly. She is in good health and has adapted well to her foster home. Regular vet check-ups will be important to ensure she remains healthy. Due to her time as a stray, she might need a consistent diet and routine vet visits to keep her in top shape. She doesn’t always eat her food at once sometimes she likes to take her time and eat when she is hungry. At least that is what we have seen so far. Phoenix is potty trained, although she may have occasional accidents if left alone for extended periods. She knows some basic commands and is comfortable in her crate. She is working on leash training and is gradually getting used to the baby pool, which is essential for cooling off in the hot weather. She is great in the car, after about 5 min she lays down in the back and takes a nap. She has a high energy level at times and loves to play. Regular playtime and short walks will be crucial for her well-being. Given the hot weather, it’s important for her to have access to a cool area, such as a baby pool, to prevent overheating. Phoenix is looking for a loving home that can provide her with structure, consistency, and plenty of playtime. She would thrive in a household with other dogs, as she enjoys their company and plays well with them. An ideal family would be one that understands the needs of a French Bulldog and can offer her a mix of affection, exercise, and training. If you love hiking and camping with sitting net to a fire and relaxing, she would be a great family member to do that with! Adoption Requirements: • Commitment to providing a loving and structured environment • Regular exercise and playtime • Continued leash training and socialization • Access to a cool area, especially in hot weather • Regular veterinary care to maintain her health If you’re looking for a playful, loving, and unique French Bulldog, Phoenix is the perfect addition to your family. Her energy and affection will bring joy to your home, and she is ready to share her love with a new forever family. Vaccinated, Spay, Microchipped, and vet cleared. Apply on our site, fee $1000.00
