Story
Pikachu is a pocket-sized party starter with Frenchie Bulldog-ish swagger and full-on “are you ready for a good-time?” energy. He’s estimated to be around 4 years old, and he’s previously lived with kids where he was a great little playmate, and clearly, he already knows how to be part of the fun! Want to see this tiny thunderbolt in action? Head to YouTube for Pikachu Spark” and prepare yourself for some serious big-dog confidence in a perfectly portable body. https://youtu.be/WqysqNmFcOk It is hard not to lean into the Pokémon theme, but honestly the name Pikachu fits him too well. He has a funny ziggy tail, a set of pointy ears that command attention, and that perfectly charged side-kick vibe. Pikachu has basic leash manners and is responsive to guidance and redirection from his handler. He can get a little excited at the possibility of making a new friend in each passing dog but he is learning quickly that you make more friends by meeting them calmly and playing it cool. He is for sure the kind of little dude who’s going to thrive with consistent practice, structure, and a love for that big personality that any bully-babe brings. With other dogs, Pikachu is again channeling his name and bringing that electric energy. He is a bit like an enthusiastic player who runs onto the field before the whistle. He handled a confident, socially savvy dog well and understands dog social cues wonderfully. We could see Pickachu being a great sidekick for a confident but playful dog, who won’t be pushed around and can match his energy while still keeping him grounded. Pikachu also was great meeting our house cat, he showed a playful approach, but we can see that he would try to make a play connection with a feline friend so if he is going into a home with a cat, we encourage strong boundaries and slow intros and ideally another dog in the home so the cat isn’t the main outlet for Pikachu’s playful side. Pickachu is both house and crate trained and is a pro at the kennel routine- he walks right in, waits calmly, and before rushing out he lets you leash him which is a big green flag for day-to-day life. We think Pikachu could absolutely be successful in an apartment as long as he is getting the mental stimulation, physical outlets, and continued opportunities to build on his leash skills. Bottom line: Pikachu is a fun, confident, silly little spark who’s ready to “join your party,” and with the right structure he’ll be the best kind of collectible, the one you never want to trade away. Gotta catch ’em all… but honestly, once you catch Pikachu, you might stop right there. Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? Story
Meet Apple Connie – the beautiful, sophisticated lady with the squishy bulldog face, the most cuddle-able body in the business (she’s 38 pounds of pure love!), and a personality that makes everyone she meets instantly fall for her. Around 4 years old and overflowing with charm, Apple has quickly become a favorite here at the rescue—and for good reason. She’s on a mission to make best friends of us all, one kiss and cuddle at a time. Apple is what we like to call a professional lovebug. She thrives on affection and attention and believes belly rubs are a basic human responsibility. Whether she’s sunbathing in a golden patch of light, snoozing at your feet, or gently placing her head in your lap for pets, Apple is here to be your best snuggle buddy, emotional support potato, and constant companion. See her in action here, and come back to read more! Happy Apple the loving little bulldog!!!🍎 https://youtu.be/lpshPyvlu5M?si=Z6Nli59VJo63-t5L She’s a mellow, couch-loving girl who still enjoys her daily walks, especially if it means she gets to greet new people along the way. Apple is famously gentle when taking treats, has great manners in the house, and sleeps peacefully in her crate at night. She’s potty trained, crate-trained, and learning her leash skills like a champ—especially since she’s highly food-motivated and eager to please. Apple gets along well with other dogs, especially once she’s had time to settle in. She prefers calm playmates who match her easygoing vibe—none of that big-dog, high-speed chaos for her, thank you very much. She’s more of a “let’s stroll around the yard and then nap in the shade” kind of gal. Now, about cats—Apple says, “no thank you.” She has officially decided that feline roommates are not her thing, and we respect that. We all have our boundaries, and Apple’s just happen to involve fur that meows. She’s also a natural in public and doesn’t mind being the center of attention (she assumes the admiration is well-deserved—and she’s not wrong). Whether riding calmly in the car, walking through the neighborhood like a local celebrity, or even being picked up or dressed up for Halloween, Apple takes it all in stride. She’s the perfect blend of classy and goofy. While she’s happy to share her space with another chill dog, Apple’s biggest requirement is a loving human (or several!) who will spoil her with affection and maybe share the couch. She’d love a yard for sunbathing, a home that understands the value of quality nap time, and people who will appreciate her quiet loyalty and subtle humor. She’s the kind of dog who will look into your soul and then... fall asleep on your feet. Apple Connie isn’t just ready for her forever home—she’s ready to move in and steal your heart. If you’re looking for a dog who will be your shadow, your best friend, and your most loyal cuddle companion, Apple is your girl. Ready to bring a new furry friend into your life? For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.**Hercules** **Survivor Boy** Meet Hercules This sweet young French Bulldog-Chihuahua was dumped in the shelter. My heart sank as soon as I saw him. We are full is said to myself, "I can't save another..." Days went by, and no rescue stepped up for him. Mona mentioned he was out of time and on the list to be euthanized. I held out, just maybe someone would come for him.. NOTHING! I couldn't take it. Something in his eyes called for me. The fear, the confusion, the "knowing" that death happens here. I wrote to Mona, "Is Hercules still alive?" She said, "Let Me Check." "Yes, he is, but this is it, he is out of time, and the shelter is closing" "Mona, save him for me, please." The video says it all. He was listed as a biter. People were afraid to take a chance on him. His eyes told me he was just afraid and did not want to die." Look how thankful he is to be alive in the video. I want to find the absolute best person/couple/family for Hercules. He is young, under a year old. He needs a committed person he can give his heart to who will love him til the day he leaves this earth. If that is you, contact me. Hercules is only 10 pounds and will not likely grow any larger. He is a lapdog and a dog who will give you his soul. I will entertain a trial adoption for the right applicant. TEXAS ADOPTION ONLY Lissette the Fluffy Frenchie💖 I am fluffy. I smile ALL of the time. I make delightful snorty sounds. Even my sniffer action is fun to listen to. So why was I dumped & picked up as a stray? Their loss! I like dogs of all sizes, cats, but most of all…people. I gaze adoringly at my special people, keeping them in my sight regardless of whatever else I am doing: playing, chewing on a toy, eating, napping. Don’t even try to sneak off to the bathroom without me! I have some special needs that require a little extra care (ask my foster “mom” about them), but a lifetime of joy with me & my wonky walk are more than worth the effort. Adopt me through God’s Dogs Rescue www.godsdogsrescue.org Attributes: Special needs Crate trained Housebroken Dog friendly Cat safe Child friendly Lissette is an absolute DOLL and will only go to a home that will care for her in the way she needs. In return you will get the cutest little SNORT monster ever!! Local adoption only $400 (in Texas only)

Story
Alaska is a little girl who came running to the shelter to hide, we assume she was scared after being run over. At first glance we saw that she had a fracture in her hind leg, her first visit to the vet was to prepare her for an amputation, since her leg was beyond repair. After her recovery, she began to prepare to find her new home, currently she already has her vaccinations up to date, she is spayed and ready. She is a very pampered dog, like a big girl, waiting for love, affection and lots of cuddles, she likes to go for walks, eager to see new places, always happy, following you everywhere. She is very curious, elated to see you, and such an adorable, smart little girl. The fact that she is missing her leg does not stop her, she runs, plays and can even jump, she has adapted quite well to her new life. She is still a puppy, she will barely be a year old, she will not grow any more, she is medium, around 28 pounds. The $550.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to Oregon or Washington. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Tick control up to date. Microchip. Microchip registration to new owner paid for. Collar. Temporary leash.

Samantha is your typical silly frenchie, she can be playful and energetic, and lazy and cuddly once she has had her activity.
