Story
Buddy Ru is a charming French Bulldog with a larger-than-life personality and a face that’s impossible to resist. Whether he’s making you laugh with his goofy expressions or curling up beside you for a nap, this sweet boy loves being part of the action and spending time with his favorite people. Like many Frenchies, Buddy Ru enjoys the good life—and he’s currently working on shedding a few extra pounds to be his healthiest self. His future family can help him stay on track with appropriate exercise, portion control, and lots of encouragement as he continues his wellness journey. Buddy Ru would do best with adopters who understand that he likes to choose his friends carefully. While he can be a wonderful companion, he doesn’t always enjoy the company of other dogs and may thrive best as the only pet or with slow, thoughtful introductions and proper management. What Buddy Ru lacks in size, he makes up for in loyalty, affection, and personality. If you’re looking for a devoted sidekick who wants to be your couch buddy, adventure partner, and constant companion, Buddy Ru may be your perfect match. Buddy Ru at a Glance: * 🐶 French Bulldog with a fun-loving, affectionate personality * ❤️ Loves people and enjoys spending time with his family * 🥗 Currently on a weight-loss journey and making great progress * 🐕 May prefer to be the only dog or require careful introductions to canine companions * 🏡 Looking for a loving home where he can continue to thrive and be spoiled with attention Buddy Ru is ready to find the forever family that will love him just as he is and cheer him on every step of the way. Local adoption fee is $500(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $750 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Alaska is a little girl who came running to the shelter to hide, we assume she was scared after being run over. At first glance we saw that she had a fracture in her hind leg, her first visit to the vet was to prepare her for an amputation, since her leg was beyond repair. After her recovery, she began to prepare to find her new home, currently she already has her vaccinations up to date, she is spayed and ready. She is a very pampered dog, like a big girl, waiting for love, affection and lots of cuddles, she likes to go for walks, eager to see new places, always happy, following you everywhere. She is very curious, elated to see you, and such an adorable, smart little girl. The fact that she is missing her leg does not stop her, she runs, plays and can even jump, she has adapted quite well to her new life. She is still a puppy, she will barely be a year old, she will not grow any more, she is medium, around 28 pounds. The $550.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to Oregon or Washington. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Tick control up to date. Microchip. Microchip registration to new owner paid for. Collar. Temporary leash.

Story
FOREVER HOME NEEDED (currently in foster care) Meet Biscuit, a 7 year-old Frenchie that her foster family affectionately calls "Grubs" . She's cute, short/small and a little pudgy ~ a big girl in small dog's body. She's pretty wrinkly and makes funny grumbling noises. You will not find a more affectionate bulldog! Gubs is originally from an overcrowded shelter in CA and has been a mamma before. Her eye was missing long before she arrived at our rescue, and the eye injury site is very stable and does not require any monitoring or maintenance. She's extremely affectionate and will want to crawl into your lap for cuddles and kisses. She's very cute and loves affection from people but will brawl with other dogs for affection. She's pretty good about food boundaries with other dogs. She is house-trained but can be lazy and will need supervision. She really like her potty-pad. She doesn't like the rain or bad weather. Some cajoling will need to happen. She's on a hormone support chewable. It's helpful to support her since she was a breeding dog and has had many litters. She doens't need this medication to stay healthy; it just helps her with have longer bladder control. Grubs is currently in a home with 3 other dogs, two little chihuahua mixes and an English Bulldog. She will compete for attention so her adopters will need to be careful to give her attention and affection at the right time. The foster's manage well in the household by not giving in to her triggers but we do think that she would do best as an only dog in the home. She could be place with other little dogs that won't mind her being dominant. She will have issues with a larger dog in the home. Grub will require a family who will keep her active (she loves to walk) and has brachycephalic dog ownership experience. She would do best as the only dog in the home but with regular access to other dogs so that she will remain well socialized. Grubs does well with other dogs as long as there is good leadership and monitoring. She's has had a vet checkup. She was severely overweight at 42lb at her highest. She's down to about 25lbs. She's small framed for a Frenchie. She is spayed, microchipped and up to date on her vaccinations. Her adoption fee is $400.

Story
HI - I'M FERNANDO, a small and timid 2-year-old mix in need of a foster or forever home. I weigh only about 35 lbs. I haven't been well-socialized in my young life so am shy/wary of new people. So I need a patient adopter who can help me come out of my shell. I am currently in Southern California, but can be transported to Washington at no extra charge beyond a nominal adoption fee. Please email for an adoption/foster application and additional photos.

Story
Zoe - what a survivor! Zoe is a 3 year old French Bulldog who has already faced so many challenges while moving through life with joy! You can't keep this little girl down. Zoe came to us suffering from middle ear infections and debris causing her discomfort and some vertigo. Since seeing our specialists she has been doing amazing! Great with the kids in the family and the perfect pawtner to her foster mom with walks around the neighborhood. Zoe is in such good health otherwise, and now relieved from pain and towards a wonderful rest of her life. Should the issue return, treatment is available for the condition. If you love Frenchie's and you are in for the humor and love this girl has to give, please consider adoption of sweet Zoe. She is the perfect little character! Zoe has no restrictions on her - just needs someone to keep an eye on her around stairs and jumping as should be for any Frenchie! Zoe is spayed and current on vaccinations and microchipped all included in her adoption donation.

Story
**Lily and Vanilla Bean** Looking for the ultimate lapdogs? Seeking a couple of loving pups who will be completely devoted and want to be wherever you are? Lily and Vanilla Bean are a wonderful Mom-and-Daughter pair who adore each other and bond deeply with their human(s). They love to play with one another while cuddling on a bed or while you watch television. They love to run in the sun and chase one another or play chase with you and fetch toys. These two girls will melt the souls of the folks who take them home. They have the sweetest personalities and even though they may be playing with one another, they are happiest when they can share their time with their person. They will make excellent companions for people who work from home or who are retired. They adore attention and become very outgoing once they overcome their initial shyness.  Lily and Beanie are Italian Greyhound mixes. Lily is approx. 1-year-old and about 9 pounds, while Beanie is @3-4 years old and 15 pounds. "Beany" is Lily's mom, and they get along so well. They need to be adopted and kept together. These girls are so happy to be alive, out of the shelter, receiving love, attention, and awesome food. They begin a little timid and shy. Then, over a few days, they open up and want to be right in your lap. Once they settle in, they roll over for belly rubs and are so excited to be your very special buddies.  Whoever adopts this pair is winning the Jackpot!!   Lily and Beany have a bonded pair adoption fee of $550.00. They are up to date on their vaccines and spayed.  To apply to adopt this wonderful pair, please fill out an application on our website: www.smallpupsrescue.org July 21, 2026, 11:24 pm
