Story
EMERGNECY PLACEMENT DEADLINE 3PM WEDNESDAY APRIL 17, 2024Name: PANDA Animal ID: A746364Age: 4 yearsWeight: 39 lbs.About: Meet Panda, he is about 4 years old, Chow Chow mix. Panda will need to find placement with a foster or an adopter through PACC before 3pm on Wednesday April 17, 2024.Panda first came to the shelter back in 2021 as part of a hoarding situation, where he was living with numerous other dogs and was under socialized with people. He was fortunate enough to have received some socialization with the help of staff and volunteers and lived in an adoptive home for well over a year. He is still a little nervous with handling, but in the shelter, he has not shown any potential to fear bite. Panda deserves a second chance at life. He has lived a rough life this far and is looking to find a permanent home to live out his days living his best life. In his previous home, Panda did display some reactivity to people while on the leash and did have an undocumented bite to the husband in the home. Panda would like to meet every member in the household before going home. Once Panda is comfortable with his people, he can be protective so he will need to be kept in a crate or separate room when visitors enter the home. Panda does well with other dogs and might do better in a home with another dog. If you are interested in meeting Panda please come to PACC and ask to meet him.

Story
Loki is one of several dogs who were surrendered to PACC as a group. They are very underweight, very shy, and VERY sweet. These dogs have spent their lives predominately outdoors, and need help with socialization and feeling safe and loved in a home. Mostly, they need TLC- a soft bed and reliable meals to help them bulk up. Loki isn`t familiar with normal doggy things like walking on a leash, so needs a patient family who will teach him how to `dog` and who will keep him safe and secure as he adjusts. Loki shares his kennel with another PACC pup, and generally kept to himself when meeting other dogs in playgroup, he can be assertive for space so its recommended you bring your pup in to meet him. He has lived with children but can be possesive of food/toys so we recommend older kids. He has a medical condition called Megaesophagus which means he will need to be fed upright for his meals. If you can help a sweet dog who has had a rough start to life, ask about Loki today!

Story
Lizzi and Loki are a bonded pair of senior friends who are looking for a home together. These two gentle seniors need to find a soft place to land- the shelter is no place for senior pets!! Lizzi and Loki were brought to PACC by an animal protection officer. The PACC clinic is taking great care of them as they seem to have not had any vet care in quite some time. Loki has valley fever and Lizzi has some old lady aches and pains, so they need a family committed to their long-term care. While Lizzi and Loki are on the shy side, they are very tolerant of handling and appreciate spending quiet time with their volunteer friends. Lizzi enjoys gentle pets and scratches, and Loki is learning about those too. Lizzi and Loki are both vulnerable due to their age and condition, and were unsure about other dogs during their playgroup evaluations. They take comfort from one another, but need to meet any other resident dogs prior to heading home. Lizzi and Loki will do best in a calm home with a patient and understanding family who can help them gain confidence and who will make sure they get the medical care they need. Remember, adopting pals may actually mean less work than adopting a single pet- they keep each other entertained, they give each other stability and comfort, they adjust more quickly to new situations, and they provide twice the amount of love. Ask about these sweet seniors today!

Story
Remy is a wiggly, energetic puppy who came to PACC when his owner became ill and could no longer care for him. He would love to find an active home with an energetic family- puppies don’t belong in the shelter! Here’s what a couple of volunteers have said about this bouncy baby boy:“When I first met Remy he was nervous. But, the next day he was much better and even played with a tennis ball and sought affection. Big, goofy puppy. He has some trouble seeing which might be part of his nervous behavior. Sweet guy, has come around quickly!”Remy has been in foster care and doing so well! He is blind but has learned the layout of the house fairly quickly! He is crate trained, house broken, non-destructive, dog friendly, and kid friendly!Remy is vision impaired and on medications, so he needs a family who can manage this condition. It sure doesn’t slow Remy down one bit! Remy shares his kennel with another PACC pup and was social and tolerant when meeting other dogs in playgroup. Ask to meet Remy today!!

Ashford is a handsome sweet dog. Athlete for sure. He thinks he is a superstar when playing ball and soccer. He love to go on walks and hikes. I got him as a puppy of 2 1/2 months old, he is currently 13 months old. He came from my cousin who had an unexpected litter. His mom's name is Scooby and she is a Mastiff mix and Father full blood German shephard. I have chronic lyme and almost 60 years old and it is difficult for me to be a proper mom to this big guy. I am unable to work right now and do not have the strength to take care of him. I would love for him to find a home with a family or a hiking person. He loves people, especially men, and other dogs. He loves the dogpark and to play. He needs a home with an active person. He does not bark incessantly and is really a good watchdog. Please help me rehome my handsome Ashford. His belonging go with him. 2 bed cots 3 bed mattresses Xlarge igloo doghouse Xlarge metal crate Toys 50 lbs of food, toys, etc. Questions welcome.

Story
Meet Sparky! Sparky is a high energy, black German Shepherd and an amazing furry friend who has captured our hearts. He was brought to us by a kind soul who could no longer care for him, and now we're on a mission to find him the loving forever home he truly deserves. Sparky is truly one of a kind. He's got some impressive credentials under his belt - he's house-trained, kennel-trained, leash-trained, and even mastered the art of using a doggie door! He's such a smart pup, and he picks up on new tricks and commands quicker than you can say "fetch!" Speaking of which, Sparky absolutely ADORES playing with tennis balls. It's his absolute favorite pastime, and his enthusiasm is infectious! Now, while Sparky could potentially share his home with another furry friend, we believe that a proper introduction would be the key to a harmonious coexistence. So, if you already have a canine companion, don't worry - Sparky is open to making new friends! If you're looking for a loyal, intelligent, and loving companion to brighten your days, Sparky might just be the one for you. We can't wait for him to find his forever family, and we promise you won't be disappointed when you meet him. If you're interested in giving Sparky a loving home, please send us a message or leave a comment below. Let's make sure Sparky finds his perfect match and gets all the love and care he deserves! Foster Notes: Buddy is people oriented; loves attention and being petted. He does not like being left alone and will follow you through the house; would be best with someone home most of the time. He is quiet and not a big barker; he is afraid of loud noises. He is very sweet and a little shy. He likes to find an out of the way place to sleep during the day but likes his dog bed at night. Treat time is his favorite time of the day!
