Story
ROME GA Ida is a 2-yr-old, sweet, playful dog with a lot of personality and spunk. She loves to be with her human and loves all people in general. She has a lot of energy so she will needs lots of walks or a fenced-in yard to run around in. She does not get along well with any other animals. She will need to be the ONLY pet in the home. This is the reason I have to make this sad, heart-breaking decision to rehome her because she goes after my chickens and my kitten so I had to tie her up , which I don’t think is fair to her because she really needs to run. She loves hikes and stays with me without a leash as long as there are no distractions around. She chases cars so will need to be away from the road as well. She gets along GREAT with children and infants as she grew up with both of mine since they were very young. One is 3 and the other is 7mos and Ida has never been aggressive with either. even with pulled ears or tail, Ida is very gentle.

Story
Meet Sardinia, a vibrant and loving 2-year-old German Shepherd with a heart brimming with affection. With her striking appearance and moderate energy level, she's the ideal companion for those who lead an active lifestyle. While Sardinia thrives on playtime and outdoor escapades, she also finds immense joy in snuggling up with her favorite human on the couch. Sardinia found herself as a long-term resident at the shelter, mainly due to her initial apprehension and fear of strangers. However, beneath her cautious demeanor lies a loyal companion eagerly awaiting the right person to help her blossom. Once Sardinia forms a bond with you, her true essence shines through. She's incredibly sweet and loving, often expressing her affection through gentle kisses and playful interactions with her cherished toys. Forming a connection with Sardinia goes beyond gaining a loyal pet; it's about witnessing her transformation into a confident and content dog. To discover more about Sardinia, please reach out to an adoptions matchmaker at 520-327-6088 ext 173 before planning a visit to meet her!

Story
Paco was a gift to a family member. The family member due to health issues could no longer handle him. I’ve rehomed him two more times and he’s been returned to me both times. Because of my own financial issues as a widow, I am not able to handle him and his needs along with my own animals. Paco is great when he’s with his person. He loves going on adventures or just relaxing with his person. He matches their energy. It’s when his person leaves to work that he has issues. He has extreme separation anxiety. He hates being kenneled. He will also destroy things during his anxious episodes. He is friendly to people. A little shy and reserved at first, but a real Goofball when he feels safe and comfortable. He’s also friendly with friendly dogs. He’s not aggressive. Rarely barks, unless it’s during his anxious episodes. He just needs someone with a big heart to be patient and teach him. With all my heart, I want to keep him, but my circumstances simply won’t allow it.
