Please contact Darlene at 302-312-5129 (fureverpawsdogrescue@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.  This dog is located in Newark, DE. Visit us on the web at https://fur-everpaws.com/fur-ever-paws-adoption-application/ to submit an application. Please contact the foster directly at 302-312-5129 (text or call) or via email at fureverpawsdogrescue@gmail.com Fur Ever Paws Dog Rescue is a small no kill rescue operating in the Delaware/Maryland area. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit that rescues and places homeless, neglected or abused dogs from high-kill shelters in the south into loving, responsible committed and permanent homes. We feel our comprehensive adoption process which includes not only taking the time to match the dog to the prospective new owner but helping to educate that owner in responsible dog care, allows us to find the best homes for our little buddies and the best companions for you! Each week we use USDA certified transports to bring dogs from high-kill shelters in the south to our fosters where they all receive the appropriate medical care and are placed in nurturing loving homes while they await placement in their forever homes. Interested in one of our dogs? Great! Now that you've seen them here you'll need to go to our website where you'll find our list of adoptable dogs (updated every week). Then, it's just a simple process of finding a dog you're interested in and filling out an application on our site. Once we receive your application, whoever is fostering that particular dog will contact you and do a short over the phone interview to complete your application process. If everything works out, they will set an appointment with you so come out and "visit" with the dog you're interested in (we want to make sure that not only are you a good fit for the dog but that the dog will fit with you). If everything works out, you'll be able to take rover (or spot, or jax) home with you that very day. A couple of things you should know: We can't hold dogs over the phone or via email. Adoption fees vary based on breed. All of our dogs have been vet checked and dewormed (if possible due to age, additional treatment may be needed). We provide a spay or neuter voucher to all of our adopters. &#226&#128&#139 January 8, 2026, 1:50 am

Story
Welcome Coco! Coco was originally adopted from us in December 2021 and is being surrendered back to us due to owner’s increased work schedule. Coco is a beautiful, 7 year old, 50 lb., spayed, female German Shepherd mix Dog 🐶 friendly?: unsure, has not had much socialization Cat 🐈 friendly?: No small animals, high prey drive with cats/rabbits/squirrels Kid friendly?: has been around kids 10+, would need some respectful space while she adjusts to new surroundings House 🏠 broken?: occasional accidents if left alone without a potty break for too long Crate trained?: no, owner initially tried to crate train, but Coco broke the crate to escape Leash trained?: yes but could probably use some basic obedience Travel well in the 🚗?: fine! Energy level (on a scale of 1-10, 1 being total couch 🥔, 10 the energizer 🐰): 7 Fenced yard required?: not required, but definitely preferred. Ideal family dynamic/living situation: anyone home more often than not, she likes several walks/fetch sessions a day. Older kids, unsure at this time how she would be with other resident pets so no current pets would be ideal Favorite toys 🧸 🎾 and activities: walks, fetch with a ball

Story
This is Sweetz. She is a very loveable, sweet dog that would love to be a lap dog. She adores attention and pets and will be your new best friend. She DOES NOT get along with other dogs. She has been wonderful with our children (we have had her since she was a puppy). She loves squeeky toys and chewy treats like bullie sticks. We absolutely adore her and would not be taking this step if not absolutely necessary.
