Story
Meet Gabby – Your Adventure-Loving Shadow! 🐾Gabby is a one-year-old Shepherd mix with a playful spirit and a zest for life! This fun-loving girl is always ready for action — whether it’s a game of fetch, a long walk, or exploring the great outdoors. She has that classic Shepherd energy and intelligence, and she’ll thrive with an active home that can keep both her body and mind busy.Gabby is still young and will benefit from continued training to help her grow into the amazing companion she’s meant to be. She’s smart and eager, and with consistency and structure, she has so much potential. In her foster home, Gabby did experience some separation anxiety, so she’s looking for a family that can include her in their daily life. She’d love someone who works from home, has a flexible schedule, or enjoys taking their dog along on adventures. Gabby bonds closely with her people and feels happiest when she’s by your side.If you’re ready for a loyal, playful companion who wants to be your constant sidekick, Gabby might just be your perfect match! 💕🐶Please call the shelter at (706) 795-2868 to schedule a meet and greet.Madison Oglethorpe Animal Shelter is a non-profit shelter serving over 720 square miles. We are open intake, meaning we can not turn away animals from either county we serve. Our shelter intakes double or triple it's capacity every month so it is essential we place animals quickly into adoptive homes. Since so many animals enter the shelter we often don't have enough volunteers to write an individual bio for each. Please feel free to call the shelter Wednesday-Sunday to inquire about the animal you are interested in. 706-795-2868.Viewing and adoption hours at our shelter are Wednesday through Sunday from 12 PM to 5 PM. All adoption fees include age-appropriate vaccinations, flea treatment, deworming, and spay or neuter, microchip, and adoption packet. Fees:Dogs over 6 months old: $100Puppies under 6 months: $200. Cats and Kittens are $75 ($65 without microchip). For your convenience you can fill out an adoption application for any of our current residents at www.moaspets.com. Join us on Facebook athttps://www.facebook.com/moaspets. It's a great way to stay up to the minute on the furry 4 legged friends we have looking for a loving forever home. We are located at:1888 Colbert Danielsville Rd Danielsville, GA 30633 706-795-2868NOTE: Our adoptions are first come first served, simply filling out an application does not mean the animal will be held for you, you must come meet the animal in person in order to be considered for adoption. If you rent you must bring your lease or a letter from your landlord stating you may adopt.

Story
Meet Obi! A 61lbs young male shepherd mix with a gentle and loving personality! Obi is a super sweet boy who can be timid or unsure in new environments, but even when he’s nervous, his loving personality always shines through. His greatest desire is simply to hang out with you and be part of your world.  Obi is potty trained and is learning basic manners like sitting. Obi is a fast learner and is extremely friendly with dogs and children, and he would likely do well in a home with another dog to keep him company.  Obi does not do well in a crate, as he likely spent long periods in one before coming to us. He would do best with someone who works from home or is home most of the time. He thrives with time, patience, and plenty of attention. As a shepherd mix, Obi needs mental stimulation as well as exercise to stay happy. He loves chewing and can be happily occupied with a frozen marrow bone or a Kong full of peanut butter, which is his favorite! Obi is indifferent to people food and doesn’t beg— except for peanut butter, which he politely sits and waits for. He is a quiet observer; his foster family has never heard him bark, though he may occasionally whine if left alone for longer periods. Obi is looking for a loving home where he can continue to grow in confidence and be a cherished part of the family.  ##2562330##

Story
Meet Lucy — Smart, Loyal, and Ready for Her Person Lucy was picked up by local animal control after being dumped on a rural road, so her past is a mystery — but her future is bright. This beautiful 45lb German Shepherd/Malinois/Cattle Dog mix is approximately 1 year old, fully vetted, and already showing just how intelligent and loving she can be. Lucy is good with people and bonds quickly to her person especially men. She can be timid around other dogs, so she’ll do best as an only dog or in a home with a confident, stable dog and an owner experienced with German Shepherds & herding breeds. What Lucy Brings to the Table Smart & trainable — professionally trained by Mark McEvoy Knows commands: sit and place ‍ Walks beautifully on a leash  Enjoys car rides Crate trained Deeply loyal — bonds fast and hard Has some separation anxiety — needs structure, routine, and confidencebuilding Needs mental stimulation & exercise — classic herdingbreed brain Loves water — especially taking a dip in lakes Lucy is playful, alert, and eager to learn. She’s the kind of dog who thrives with purpose, consistency, and someone who understands the brilliance (and quirks) of herding breeds. If you’re looking for a devoted companion who will give you her whole heart, Lucy is waiting. Apply to meet Lucy at Dirt Road Doggies Rescue. ##2702127##
