Story
Meet Obi! A 61lbs young male shepherd mix with a gentle and loving personality! Obi is a super sweet boy who can be timid or unsure in new environments, but even when he’s nervous, his loving personality always shines through. His greatest desire is simply to hang out with you and be part of your world.  Obi is potty trained and is learning basic manners like sitting. Obi is a fast learner and is extremely friendly with dogs and children, and he would likely do well in a home with another dog to keep him company.  Obi does not do well in a crate, as he likely spent long periods in one before coming to us. He would do best with someone who works from home or is home most of the time. He thrives with time, patience, and plenty of attention. As a shepherd mix, Obi needs mental stimulation as well as exercise to stay happy. He loves chewing and can be happily occupied with a frozen marrow bone or a Kong full of peanut butter, which is his favorite! Obi is indifferent to people food and doesn’t beg— except for peanut butter, which he politely sits and waits for. He is a quiet observer; his foster family has never heard him bark, though he may occasionally whine if left alone for longer periods. Obi is looking for a loving home where he can continue to grow in confidence and be a cherished part of the family.  ##2562330##

Story
CALLING OUT TO ALL SINGLE PERSONS! BOLT IS LOOKING FOR AN ADVENTUROUS SEEKING PERSON THAT IS IN THE NEED of SPEED, HIKING, BOATING, and RUNNING!!   This is Bolt.  This sweet dog is approximately 2 years old, neutered, and fully vetted by Shannon Veterinary Services.  He was found with a leg injury on a rural road in Jackson County in August.  He is chipped, but upon contact with his previous owner it was found out that Bolt  had  been “sold”  to someone else. No further information was given by the previous owner.  Bolt loves attention, but sometimes does not realize  his size!   He loves to ride and walks well on a leash. I suspect he could be housebroken.  Bolt is not a digger and has not attempted to get out of his fence, but he does need space. I’m not sure how he is around cats, but he gets along fine with my senior female black lab.The problem is that  our senior Great Pyrenees mix is the alpha dog in the fence and Bernie is sometimes intolerant of Bolt.  I do not feel that it is fair to put sweet Bolt in this situation.  Bolt deserves a home where he is the only dog or where he can be the alpha dog. If you are looking for a young, healthy, loving, big dog to give a furever home to then look no further!  Bolt will steal your heart!   ##2569415##

Story
Marshall is the sweetest 2 year old boy ever. He warms your heart when he gets to know you. He is such a goofy boy with a big personality. He loves to run and play with his toys. He will follow you around the house and not want you to leave his side. I have loved watching him blossom and get to be the crazy, silly pup that he never got to be prior to now. Marshall has seem to be abused in the past due to the way he acts when you make certain movements. He would do well in a home where someone is home more often than I can be. I work 13 hour days and for him that’s not a good thing. This the main reason I need to rehome him. Marshall has been around cats vaguely and seems to do well with them, as long as they don’t run. He seems to just want to play. I would love for Marshall to go to a home where they understand his breed and understand that it will take him time to adjust. I hate having to give him up because I feel like I’m failing him but it’s what is best for him.
