Story
Mila is loyal, affectionate, and goofy. She is smart, knows several commands, and is overall well behaved (non-destructive, never any accidents, listens). Fetch is the best thing in the whole world and so are forehead kisses and snuggles. She is honestly the perfect companion except for her reactivity/aggression. Strangers need to be introduced gradually and with caution. She is very protective of her space and her person and may not completely let her guard down until a 4th or 5th intro. If another dog comes within 50' of her, she will bark and lunge at them against the leash. She is high energy and despite lots of persistent leash training, she is an even more persistent puller. I have tried all manner of techniques, trainers, different harnesses or leads. She would love nothing more than to follow someone everywhere on a big piece of land. If you aren't terribly fond of human company but would like a silly sweet pea to follow you everywhere and ask for forehead kisses, this is Mila.

Story
Meet Chloe!Chloe is an energetic and driven 4-year-old German Shepherd who weighs 60 pounds. This sweet and intelligent girl will thrive in an active home where she can keep busy and burn off her energy. She’s fantastic with people and other dogs, making her a great companion for both humans and furry friends.Chloe absolutely LOVES water—her favorite activity is chasing water from the hose, and she’ll keep you entertained with her enthusiasm!Though Chloe once had an owner, but they’re not responding to her finder or us, so she’s ready to find her forever home. We believe she’s house trained, and with her sharp mind, she’s eager to learn tricks and commands alongside her new family.Chloe is ready to make a splash in your life—are you ready for her?IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.January 1, 2025, 12:11 pm
